I had brain fog for years. Did tons of research, had my root canals removed by a holistic dentist and the day after the last one was removed, my brain fog disappeared and has never returned! That was over 15 years ago!
I tried telling my mom her leukemia (CLL) was potentially caused by her 7 root canals she had had over the decades in 2011. For years I tried and tried, but she and everyone else in my family thought I was crazy. It wasn't until it was too late that she finally admitted I may have been right because her teeth were becoming painful and infected. She passed in 2020, but now my family members realize I may have been right and avoid endodontic therapy (root canals )
It's been health crisis after Health crisis for me with 4 root canals, thyroid toxicity crisis storm, 1 st 3 originally failed with huge infections. They recommend to redo them. Two of those failing about 4 yrs later with lymph node golf size ball on lower jaw. They still recommend a 3 rd redo root canals knowing NY health history. Pain. On the right side with 3 root canals, 1 small lymph nodule on on that side of neck. Pains from that right side from head to toe. I spent thousands of dollars holistic Myers Iv treatments, supplements, ningxia red drink, essential oils, ....
petechial hemorrhages of the tongue, lips, posterior hard and soft palate, gingival hyperplasia, spontaneous gingival bleeding, oral ulcerations and mucosal pallor are all symptoms of leykemia that could cause oral pain
Even with no pain, you can have an infection that's leading to bone loss; it happened to me. If the RCT feels 'off' just get it scanned; maybe you can't save the tooth, but you can save the bone.
true. sometimes you'll have pain temporarily but that is from the nerves in your tooth being damaged. once they're too damaged no more pain but you'll still have a bad infection
I’m going through this right now. The dentist I was seeing said it was periodontist but it only seems to be worsening in one area of my teeth and that’s where the root canal is. She didn’t deal with it though. I just kept getting cleanings. She knew about the infection too. I went to see a Biological Dentist and he said there’s an infection there. He asked me if that tooth has never felt right to me and it hasn’t. I’ve had root canals done on it since I was a child. At this point I just want it out. I believe it’s also contributing to my autoimmune issues.
Thanks for explaining this about root canals! I just had to have a tooth removed that had previously had a root canal. Three years after the root canal, the tooth abscessed and I had to have it pulled! I will never subject myself to a root canal again! I do take very good care of my teeth, but I am sad to lose ANY of my precious teeth !
Yeah I understand why they do them but they just can become a problem down the road and with technology maybe we'll have better options down the road I mean an implant I think overall is better although they can have complications too.. but yes once you get a gum abscess that area has to go tooth has to go
Thanks so much for sharing. I’m so sorry! I don’t know what they did to my front tooth after I lived with half of it for a whole year. I have to have the procedure done to a premolar now but my instincts are telling me to go for an implant. I know it’s a much more intense surgery but I love the idea of being able to use the post in the future should neighboring teeth start to fail. I’m only 30 and I had my front tooth broken at the age of 12. These teeth have cause the worst pain of my life.
Root canal was the only choice for me my tooth was super sore could not drink water without tilting my head. Saying you won't subject yourself to it is not always an option. I rather try the root canal then get the tooth pulled.
Your supposed to brush after every meal and after eating something sweet and you should be flossing a lot therefore you are destined to get another cavity if you eat so much sweet even more so come on now idiots
I was spouse to have a root canal done but after hearing how it will still get infected and most times it is not done properly I decided to have it extracted. Now I feel 💯

Mine became badly infected (twice). It spread to my jaw bone and killed tissue. In the end, the tooth had to be removed. It was the only way the infection could heal. I don’t think I will ever get a root canal done again.
hi i’m only 18 and have been trying to do my research on root canals because i have a very badly decayed tooth and my dr said i needed one. Did getting the tooth pulled effect you long term? i’ve seen people saying getting a root canal caused them to have fatigue and things of that nature

It's been an ongoing thing but I've had many intense things happen in my life that I always thought it was stress but my head pain has gotten so bad that I had to try this. I had to just get an antibiotic because my ear was getting infected so we'll see after I run through this 🙏
I removed my bad tooth that needed a root canal and put in a bridge!! Done!!! My last experience with a root canal Really messed me up and allergic symptoms from surgery.
I'm in the middle of my first root canal; needs 2 visits for this tooth, unfortunately. Hoping when all is done and healed, my sinus headaches will decrease in frequency!!!

A friend of mine has had his 17 (yes really) root canals and crowns last for over 26 years at this point with zero issues, he went to an endodontist. When I was 17 I had a root canal at a general dentist not knowing any better and it failed causing me to need the tooth pulled anyway; and to make it even worse they took a piece of my jawbone with it when it came out requiring even more corrective work. It really depends on how competent the person messing with your mouth is. If you go to a competent endo who does it properly you'll be completely fine, getting a rc from a regular dentist has a bit of a russian roulette aspect honestly.
This happened to me I had a root canal and now a few days later still in pain.. I'm going to have to get it pulled. Lesson learned is please everyone go to an endodontist when getting root canals!!
Yes happened with me. I need a 3rd root canel. And I think I will do endo this time. Weather my general dentist like it or not. I let her do two molars In the back with only 2d image. So stupid of me. Not my gutta pertcha is sitting out of the apex into my periodontal area. It still has a wierd feeling. Just strange. Today I had a lower molar pulled that had a root canal, frankly the side effects just became too much. Joint pains, testicular pains and generally just feeling ill in the gut. Now 4 hours after the extraction I am already feeling better, even with a sore mouth.

I've been in excruciating pain for 11months now. Went to the dentist, told me I need surgery to have my upper right very back tooth removed. The oral surgery = $4,000.00+ for one tooth. Couldn't afford it. Made an appointment w another dentist office, explained in detail everything &they said they could extract it. Just be 5wks bc of covud before they could get me in. So waited the 5wks in the worst pain of my life. Get to my apt finally&told right away that they don't do extractions for very back top....so here I am 11months later. On my 5th round of antibiotics (yes ik antibiotics are bad to take too often. I never take antibiotics usually &fear now it's become antibiotic resistant)on my 5th time of taking antibiotics &still excruciating) I can't afford to have surgery &now since this - I had a tooth chip! Never has that happened before. 4th back from the front, same side. & then also now my other side, bottom are hurting & top other side teeth are hurting. My lymphnodes are so swollen, the pain is in my ear, feels like someone is pushing a screwdriver in my ear&won't stop.,my lower jaw on both sides & inside my ear towards my face. I can't live like this anymore. Why can't I find a dentist who will just pull it/extract it for me?? I cry almost everyday. About every 5days, I'll finally get about 3-5days sometimes without pain or at least not too much pain. &then it's right back to excruciating. It's terrifying. Idk how I've lived like this for so long. I've had 2children& this pain is worse than labor. My whole life has deteriorated. I always feel so extremely guilty for not spending enough time w my kids&them having to hear "I'm in so much pain rn I'm sorry"& them seeing me cry, I try to go to the bathroom so no one can see me crying but sometimes I can't help it. They're missing out on their summer bc of me being in this debilitating pain. I can't do this anymore. ** oh& also before all of this started I had never even had a toothache in my life. Fun fact - my mother NEVER took me to a dentist , ever. I went to my 1st appointment when I was 27 to get 1 wisdom tooth removed. Now I'm 32&went for the appt I mentioned. I've always had nice straight, white teeth. I'm so depressed & desperate. I need help. I'm sorry as I'm sure this sounds like just complaining but I'm at my absolute breaking point.
I’m feel your pain too! I’m in pain with my molar #15 and going to try dsmo and tree tree oil on it to get rid of the infection. Still decided if I want the root canal or extract of my molar. My dentist said he will extract the teeth here in San Jose California but I have to wait for insurance to approve it 4-8 weeks. Meanwhile, he also said if gets very painful and swollen to go to the ER and maybe they will extract it there. 😩
How is your tooth you sound just like me bro! My god please I hope u got taken care of I’m scared for you please reply brother please god bless you with money and health I love you man I’m sorry
Bless your heart, Warmonger. I just went through 8 days of what you just described and my brain was flirting with suicidal thoughts. I am literally bawling right now at the thought of you dealing with that for a year. Please tell me you have gotten that tooth pulled. 😞
Well now, this is TRUE. Root canals are toxic! I had 2 root canals 44 years ago. YES, 44 years ago I was 17. Bottom molars, 19&30 the only root canals. I have had chronic health issues. Blood tests are always perfect. Fatigue allergies, anxiety, recent rashes, and sudden shellfish allergies. Worse, debilitating muscle and joint paint. Knees, sacral joint, and stinging elbows the past year. They all say arthritis. No, it is always on the move if that makes sense. I told my husband the past year I feel as if my body is fighting something. I get dental cleanings twice a year and last year due to COVID I only went in November. The new dentist (I moved) said the teeth under crowns are mushy. MUSHY? I went back a month later to have crowns removed and recrowned. She took off Number 1 crown, OMG it was filled with mercury, green, brown, black, gold, rotting!! Mind you, I had NO pain or taste. The dentist and periodontist could not believe how old the root canals are. She looked at the other crown, the tooth under was half gone! The X-rays showed little white balls on the bottom of the roots. Off to periodontist. He did the whole head X-ray. the decay had gotten close to the jaw bone. They both must come out. They came out this past week. I did bone grafts and collagen inside the pocket. The pain from the procedure has been off the charts even on meds and antibiotics and my probiotics. Today is day 3 after surgery. I am on the mend!! The GREAT news.... My crippling joint and muscle pain are gone! I can bend my arms with little or no pain. The strange swollen balls on my ankles are gone! I feel lighter, I feel joy. The poison is out of my body. Tomorrow I go for an ion foot bath to begin to remove residual mercury and toxins. Then a detox diet. Listen to what Dr. Dana says!!! IT is TRUE. I am on the road to recovery.
Thanks for sharing your story. Very interesting. I’m going to have my root canaled tooth removed when I get some more money. These dentists ought to be ashamed of themselves for doing these procedures on teens and young adults. The ADA should be decommissioned too. They know about the adverse effects and still push these dentists to perform these procedures.
So you had a root canal 44 years ago... and left the crown in place thats only supposed to last 15 years tops? I'm confused how the root canal was toxic but clearly your dentist wasn't checking on them in the meantime, or you weren't practicing proper dental hygiene...?
Had a root canal done close to a decade ago. About a year ago I noticed an abcess forming on my gumline beneath the tooth i had the root canal on. It took me up until a couple weeks ago to get to dentist due to having trouble finding one that takes my insurance. They said yes, the root canal is infected. I have to make an appontment with endodontist so they can determine if they can perform another root canal to 'save' the tooth or if it needs to be extracted. I wish they would just extract the thing. Not all, but it seems most people i see online who have had root canals always end up with an issue with it afterward. Im worried about having to get the root canal redone, only to develop another infection down the road. So, just take care of your teeth best you can to avoid getting to the point of needing a root canal - cuz it seems majority of the time it causes nothing but problems.
Get it yanked out they will push you to retreat they are not your friends, its how they make money. Once a root canal failed it never work the 2nd time on a redo the bacteria is in the dead tooth along the outside of the dead root you cannot get rid of it only clean up the overspill. They use terms like 'save natural tooth' its dead there is nothing natural about leaving dead organic matter in your body it will leak bacteria, it will cause sickness, cancer huge consistent pressure on your immune system.
So my root canals are done and the crowns are doing well. Am I correct understanding your suggestion to REMOVE such teeth completely? and to do what? implant?
I don't know what country you're in but in the UK or something called informed consent and really your dentist should have explained to you before you have any medical procedure you should have under the law everything explain to you in order to be in a position to make informed consent
@@Stardust_Truth_Seeker sorry I don't agree with you, I'm where exactly because dentist explain alf of it, nothing about toxicity. So you must have a dentist who cares?

Dr. Westin A. Price was the scientist that invented the root canal procedure. After studying 3000 subjects, he wrote extensively about the dangers of harm that root canals have been observed to cause. Modern dental schools do not teach this and most dentists (as with any practice or profession) become very proud of their academic achievements. They get the mortar board, go through the druidic/freemson ceremony, walking across the platform, receiving their secret scroll and something happens to their character. They become so arrogant, prideful and calcified in their schooling that they will close their ears off to any information that might discredit their accreditation. Who can find a dentist that educates themselves beyond their indoctrination? How can one find such a dentist?
@Scott W. Weston Price did not invent the root canal procedure. The procedure has evolved greatly since. Confounding modern endodontic procedures with those from almost one hundred years ago is analogous to judging current procedures in neurosurgery by brain surgery from 100 years ago.
I have delt with what u said. I have seen it full faced even when saying it can cause sinusitis when I had bleeding nose after my 2 molar procedure and the dentist coming back to me and saying I read the literature thiers no such thing I had to rebutle and say I read the literature too and it does say anyways i went and brought her a cbct and she back tracked. Very dispointing. It's like they don't want to explain to u anything additional in regards of loosing u as a patient so they disregard you. Took my young teenage daughter to a dentist a friend recommended. This dentist said my daughter had something like 11 cavities. One supposedly needed a root canal. This was before I knew they were bad. The dentist started on that tooth saying it was the worst. It took hours. I started asking, what's taking so long, she should be done by now. The dentist said it was a difficult one and taking longer. Finally I said, that's enough it should never take this long. She put a temporary crown on and said to go to a specialist. My daughter told me the dentist was working with her book open next to her the whole time, 😳 She then tried to charge us and my husband called and said no way! We aren't paying and neither will our insurance. We went to a specialist to get the root canal finished then to another dentist who said my daughter only had one small cavity. I went to a dentist Who told me I needed a root canal in a lower back molar… So not knowing anything differently, I got the root canal done under some kind of anesthesia where I wasn’t even awake… After it was all over with, I was in such extreme pain for weeks and nothing helped and honestly I don’t even remember now why it stopped hurting… But my point is that after the root canal was done, the dentist actually was all excited saying oh my God I’ve never seen anything like that tooth I’ve never seen that kind of canal system… So it makes me think that he really botched it because of course there is no microscope and seven years later, my new dentist is telling me that I have a infection underneath that root canal and need to have the tooth pulled and I’ve been resisting that for a long time because I don’t feel any pain but now that I’ve been educated and informed I’m just mind blown

October 2022, had a sensitive tooth after having a filling done. I couldnt see a dentist for until January 2023 due to a pandemlc in town, so then i had an abscess. The dentist had me decide to have an extraction or a root canal, and I chose the latter. Finally had the RCT last month. Thank god i had an endodontist do it I guess, but i still got a couple of issues... First, the abscess is still there. It shrunk a little but its still concerning after reading the general info that its supposed to be gone within a few days when it's only been one month with little to no improvements. Second, the past 5 days I've noticed the right side of my head had been aching a lil more than usual (before RCT, it'd only occur once a month at most). In the middle of a quiet night, i swear i could hear faint churning and feel throbbing in that same area. Despite me telling them this today and asking if i should take some antibiotics, they said there's no need to, and suggest I give it some time. At least they're willing to do an x-ray in a couple of months i guess, but I'm thinking of asking if they should do the x-ray this week.
I hate it when I look up things too late. I already got my RCT done (will come back tomorrow) and now I’m regretting it and should’ve just had my tooth taken out siiiiiigh. I regret my life decisions :’’)
Hi, yes I just proceeded with it. It’s been 3 months now since I got it done. I feel fine now, but I do worry about its effects later on. Recently, also read about how it affects the lymphatic system. Well, I’ll definitely get mine removed in the future when I save up some money again.
Please help me decide. I am one month away from getting my braces off and was planning on getting a root canal treatment on one of my teeth after my braces are removed. Based on what I read in the comment section, most people who got root canal treatment regretted it for having horrible experiences, and the tooth just caused more infection. So now I'm hesitating to have the treatment done as I don't want any health risks. Should I just get my tooth extracted and get an implant? Is it much safer and less expensive? I don't want to leave a gap since I just had my braces.
Was just told I need possibly 3 root canals, even though the pulp is not infected on 2 of them. Was told that when the teeth are cleaned out, the depth of the decay will likely be too close to the nerve and pulp to avoid a root canal. I don't get it. If the pulp isn't affected yet, why can't I just get a filling?

Makes no sense to spend thousands of $ (root canal + crown) just to lose it in the end several years later. My dentist says I need RC. But I am not in pain (just a bit of sensitivity). Makes no sense for me to ruin my tooth when it's not causing a problem. I will wait until it is a bigger problem and then decide what to do. Right now, I imagine the RC could cause more issues than I have now. How long can I wait before doing something? I have had this sensitivity for over a year now - from the moment my dentist placed filling material (below gum line). In all this time the sensitivity has not gotten worse, though it has not gone away either. If it is not getting worse, what's the harm of leaving it be? At least the tooth is still getting nourished.
I’m in the same situation as you now. How have you been? I’m thinking to just let it be until it hurts so much I can’t sleep. I hope it doesn’t get to that. But if it does, I’ll have it extracted. No root canals for me.
@@tulips7465 I got the tooth extracted about two months ago. It did end up seeping pus when I pressed at the gum line. That is when I got scared and went fir consult at endodontist (for root canal). But he determined I had a Hole in the root and advised extraction. The oral surgeon cleaned outcome infection, had me take antibiotics for five days post extraction, did bone graft with suture. It healed up quite well and NO pain at all. Worst part of the process was four jabs of novacane needle. Don't wait until you can't sleep. If it STARTS to get worse, get a consult.
I’d like to know what you can do when you need a root canal. I just had my first one. I was in terrible pain and now I’m pain free. So what’s an alternative? Also it cost me $3,500 so I’m not taking it out but would like another solution should I be facing this again in the future!!!

My friend told me about a book called The root canal cover up and it's written by The xx president of the American dentistry Association and is on Amazon. He used to be for root canals and now he's against them. I would not have to tell him root because I have a metal allergy but I understand from what I've read that zirconia root implant is inert as it is not porous and doesn't have miles of tubes inside it can't get infected like a root canal dead tooth as far as I understand
You got saliva to protect you from infection.root canal tooth will only be infected if the infected nerve and pulp were not removed and disinfected properly other is when not sealed properly.
I am curious, can any of these issues come from just a crown without a root canal. Reason being, i have been dealing with chronic hives for 4 months. My dermatologist asked me 3 questions. Have you had any issues with athletes foot, jock itch, or any dental issues? Meaning my body may be fighting something. Thing is, i did have a crown repaired a few weeks earlier, which hurt like hell when he disinfected it prior to replacing crown. Any thoughts?
Had my first root canal 38 years and 4 months ago. The crown fell off last week. My dentist "glued" it back in there and hopefully it will last. I've only had one root canal fail, and that was a quick fix as well. I don't fear root canals.
There are no scientific evidence that backs up the claim that root canal procedures are bad for your health. What CAN be a problem though, is poorly skilled dentists, that also doesn't take hygiene serious enough, and THAT can cause all kinds of complications, like different kinds of infection. If done properly, a root canal procedure is completely safe to do. Several decades, and millions of patients backs that up statistically.

Root canal tooth pain last week, face swelled right up talk about agony. Went hospital they won’t touch it or give antibiotics. Went back dentist they pulled it out. Now about ten days later right lip feels numb still that fuzzy numbness and even though lump gone down it still feels like a padding of food (though not) in side lower right jaw and still in pain though fading.
My gum at that specific tooth got abcess for about 1 and half year on and off. I went for root canal treatment as the dr confirmed my tooth was dead and infecting the gum.. And now in the process for zirconia crown. Its my 1st molar btw.
Dentists seem to be divided on this matter. My dentist gave me the option of a root canal or extraction. My back upper left molar is infected, causing immense pain. The antibiotics have been working phenomenally (hardly any pain right now). I just want to know what option is best for me 😫 My dentist did seem more confident about extraction, though.
Antibiotics are also killing the good bacteria in your gut. As he said, a tooth that has had a root canal done to it is a "dead" body part and it will only be a matter of time until you will develope a chronic infection. Pain is your warning now to get that tooth extracted before the infection spreads elsewhere in your body. Also you are risking bone loss which can affect neighboring teeth.
Thanks for explaining. My wisdom tooth is in severe cavity and is in pain. My dentist said it's less likely the root canal is successful since tooth. Should I get it extracted (removed)?
All these 'fixes' are unbelievably expensive. Had a root canal and then regular checkups and cleanings. Just this week an adjacent molar came out. Bone tips remained in and now will have to be removed. Infection down to the bone that has to be removed. Pray they don't hit the nerve-they tell me. Nerve damage could leave me with no feeling on teeth, gums, lip - who knows. Man, I'm pretty worried. Can’t afford a periodontist or tens of thousands of dollars for implants. This stuff is nuts!!!
I had a dentist say I needed a root canal 20 years ago, and I told him I wanted to think about it. I went to another dentist a week later, and said he could do the crown without a root canal and it worked fine. That was 20 years ago, and I still have the same old crown with no problems. I hear oil pulling reduces the bacteria in the mouth and whiten ur teeth. Of course, make sure you get a proper cleaning first if u plan to start swishing coconut oil in ur mouth.
Before you make any decision on an irreversible procedure one needs to fully understand all the issues. You need a RCT ... then the only other option is extraction of the tooth. Now the expensive things become a part of the decision process with either an implant, removable partial denture, a bridge or live with the space.
Rct is still the best option, missing tooth can cause bone lost on the jaw and will lead to many problems as well. Again you got saliva that combat the bacteria inside your mouth, you shouldnt be bothered by the phorous of the enamel of the root canal treated tooth.

Hello, do you know something about the biology of this? I would like to know if if might be possible to do a root canal and filling on the tooth, and sterilize, remove and replace the gum around the tooth. Would this get rid of the infection? Ideally, get rid of the infection without having to extract the tooth. Is it a matter of not having the right drug to sterilize the area? Or, is it very unrealistic to isolate bacteria to sterilize it?
Great "doctor".. What's your advice for tooth replacement is someome follows your quack advice and gets the tooth removed instead? Grinding down healthy teeth for a bridge? Or having a titanium post screwed into your skull?
Its still best option is root canal, missing tooth would lead to bone lost in the jaw or mandible area and will cause many problem like other teeth will lead downward towards the missing space thats why they advice to fill the space right after tooth extraction either implant or denture. Still root canal is still the best option.
I know it feels awful but let me spare all of you people wondering if to get a root canal from having to think about what to do: Get the tooth pulled. Your body will be healthier for it. I was suckered into a root canal and got a bad systemic infection that was already affecting my heart. Luckily all the symptoms went away after pulling the tooth
If you don't get an Implant, it's possible for the adjacent tooth to shift towards the pulled tooth. Plus, there's the possibility of bone loss. I have had 2 Root Canals that were not necessary. One of them has been hurting right from the very beginning.
Before I give my answer, let me just say that TOO MANY dentists are SCAMMERS. I have been scammed by 3 of them. Yes. 3. After that, I got more scammers that I ignored. I have lost faith in them. That's why, I am visiting a dentist in a different state, tomorrow. I hope he clears all my doubts and problems. So, don't take decisions in a hurry. Anyway, to answer your question, here is my answer. I do NOT know for sure. I need scientific literature on the subject. I have to get it from somewhere, soon. All I have come to know from some random websites is the following. Jawbone, upper or lower, can deteriorate if teeth are lost. Why ? Because both Osteoblasts and Osteoclasts are responsible for keeping Bone Structure intact. Osteoblasts regenerate bone while Osteoclasts destroy bone. A balance between the two exists throughout a person's life. Osteoblasts are stimulated while chewing. If the tooth is lost, then Osteoblasts will not be stimulated. So, Osteoclasts will do the job and slowly, slowly, eat away the bone. This is called bone loss. Now, I am not sure about this. Please go through some scientific literature. Where to find ? Maybe just from a good university ? I have to speak to my University to get the most reliable source on the subject. Try to do the same. If my point about Osteoblasts and Osteoclasts is right, then I think bone loss is inevitable, scientifically speaking. The Implant, being a replacement, will result in Osteoblast stimulation again. So, maybe that will prevent bone loss. Again, read about it.

antibiotics help. And daily supplementation of oregano oil, kills the bacteria. However, it doesn't kill all of it, but with a clean diet and high immune system, you can be okay. But if there is a lot of loss to the tooth structure...that would be uncomfortable when it comes to chewing.
@@voguehaven5154 yes a good diet etc will help prevent getting decay or abcess. But once the decay has reached the pulp and nerves, something needs to be done i.e. getting a root canel. Other wise the bacteria will spread to the bones and even jaw.

@bittersweet saw your root canal was 5 months ago, I had mine 4 days ago and getting pulling pains, I research and it took me into panick mode, any advice?
So my question is, is it safer for the rest of your body long-term to just pull the tooth out instead of getting a root canal? Just trying to avoid the part where you said the infected bacteria will end up in the blood stream!
I also have a question. Why can't they sterilize the area (tooth and gums) rather than pulling the tooth out and requiring an implant? It doesn't seem like this option is available, but why? For example, do a root canal and filing, and laser treatment for the infected gum around the tooth. Replace the gum that was removed.

I am in the process of recovering from having an infected root canal (molar) extracted. These are the things that your dentist will likely not tell you but you need to know before agreeing to this procedure. All of these happened to me to some degree, and I only had my root canal for 6 years. 1. A root canal can fail due to the challenge of removing all of the infection. 2. When the nerve is removed from a tooth, the normal mechanism for detecting infection is gone. This means that future infection in a root canal can grow and spread undetected without natural pain signals. Early stages of an infection cannot be detected on an x-ray. 3. A tooth with a root canal becomes increasingly brittle. If the tooth needs to be extracted in the future, the tooth is likely to fracture into pieces and present challenges during removal. 4. An undetected infection from a root canal can spread to other teeth, bone, gums, tongue, cheeks, and face, and result in sepsis and even death.

What are you going to put in place of the root can Diana? Just leave a hole?
So you had a root canal 44 years ago... and left the crown in place thats only supposed to last 15 years tops? I'm confused how the root canal was toxic but clearly your dentist wasn't checking on them in the meantime, or you weren't practicing proper dental hygiene...?
Diana I am getting my root canal removed. I have another one as well. How are you feeling now?
I ALWAYS see this with my chronic pain and inflammation clients!
Am I correct understanding your suggestion to REMOVE such teeth completely? and to do what? implant?

Dr.
They will destroy your enamel for any reason and say they wanna save your tooth.
@Scott W. Weston Price did not invent the root canal procedure. The procedure has evolved greatly since. Confounding modern endodontic procedures with those from almost one hundred years ago is analogous to judging current procedures in neurosurgery by brain surgery from 100 years ago.
Go for one who will listen to you and respect your opinion, just like mine. Any one who ridicules you for your opinion is a bad dentist..

Get it out now, if something does not feel right off from your other root canals then something is wrong.
How are you now? Did you proceed with the rct?
Hi, yes I just proceeded with it. It’s been 3 months now since I got it done. I feel fine now, but I do worry about its effects later on. Recently, also read about how it affects the lymphatic system. Well, I’ll definitely get mine removed in the future when I save up some money again.
I worry too since I got on my first session already and will be coming back on next few days. :( I hope we will be long term
Yeahh, I hope there’ll be no serious issues for us. Good luck on yours!
You little sweetheart

It's been traumatizing after my three fault root Canal at the same time huge infections and not being guided was referred to redo them. I decided to go to another dentist and root canal specialist. They recommended redo them few years later a thyroid toxicity crisis lost 20 lbs. Few years later twi failing out of the 3 with golf size ball right lower jaw. A lymph nodule on that right side abd titinus. Pain goes from head to toe on that side with sharp shoulder pains, upper right back pain and right shoulder plus a series of health crisis like a roller coasters.
I have had an x-ray recently by my holistic dentist and she did not mention anything wrong with my teeth. I have many composite fillings and one tooth in the back i can tell is off and emits an odor even after brushing. I have no pain. Is it possible I have a dead tooth? What are safe root canal alternatives? Zirconium implant?

So you advise NOT doing a root canal to begin with? It basically just leaves a dead tooth in your mouth? What percent of root canal teeth eventually get lost?
Whatever u do I suggest u figure it out before it really start hurting BAD
I’m in the same situation as you now. How have you been? I’m thinking to just let it be until it hurts so much I can’t sleep. I hope it doesn’t get to that. But if it does, I’ll have it extracted. No root canals for me.

I got the tooth extracted about two months ago.

I don't fear root canals.
good, did you have an endodontist do them?
There are no scientific evidence that backs up the claim that root canal procedures are bad for your health. What CAN be a problem though, is poorly skilled dentists, that also doesn't take hygiene serious enough, and THAT can cause all kinds of complications, like different kinds of infection. If done properly, a root canal procedure is completely safe to do. Several decades, and millions of patients backs that up statistically.

Did you go to a holistic dentist?
The link to your website isn't working. Is your site down for upgrades or do you have a new web address?

I am not a big proponent of root canals the way they are and of screws, but what current alternatives are better?
I had 2 root canals and now have an infection in each one.I take great care of my teeth and am so regretting the root canals. Now , they need to be pulled and hopefully I have enough bone left for porcelein caps.
how much did they cost you ...?

$10.000 for 2 extractions plus the post that are inserted after extractions. It included a IV drip the day before for better healing.
maybe you did not use a cap or good quality one
did you put crown
Had a crown and a root canal to save a tooth - lower molar - ended up with an apicoectomy - still have residual infection now.
Its a real tough situation as we need teeth.
my dentist suggested an apicoectomy on my infected tooth too. i think im not gonna let her do it. 😢
I don't mind root canals. if it can fix where there is no more pain I'm happy with that and with no sensitivity from cold or hot I'm gamed and if the Dentist recommends to remove the tooth which I've had that happen then so be it. I rather feel much better than be in pain.
You should check dr Jerry Tennant about it

Why does my tooth still hurt several weeks after I had a root canal
I had my first root canal done 4 months ago. About a month after that, I started having strange symptoms. To keep it short, they are all pointing to a really out of whack immune system. Then, I noticed a few days ago that the RCT was tender when biting. As of tonight, I’m having aching pain up into my cheek bone. 😭 Does anyone know how much it costs to have a holistic dentist remove it?
I think I developed the same thing, I’m super sick, and finally came to the conclusion that I need to remove my tooth completely and the crown too. I’m gonna call a holistic dentist tomorrow, I’ll let u know the price
@@princessdee01 I called several in the following days. $1,600.00 was the lowest price! 👀😬
They’re outta their minds if they think Imma pay that much to have an already dead tooth yanked out of my mouth. I go in two days to a reg dentist, who is charging me $250 for the tooth removal and $36 for the X-ray. Sayonara to my tooth and may my symptoms rip. Good luck
@@beth4185 Can I ask what your symptoms were? I had a root canal done in December of 2019. And all last year I was having strange symptoms like neck stiffness, throat pressure, swollen lymph nodes... Drs are not able to pinpoint a specific infection. And this is going on year two. 😭
@@remylebeau8934 Good luck!
@@beth4185 , how did the extraction go?
Thank you for the information.
"your immune system has been doing the job of draining the infection" does this mean that with enough care the immune system could eventually destroy the infection completely or is that not possible?
It is not possible because the tooth has no more Nerve vessels and blood vessels connected to your system, so it could not detect the infection at all.
@@TaiPan33 you know, I'm starting to feel like teeth are getting a raw deal and are completely screwed you know? no regenerative ability, no immune system defense, and if not taken care of consistently will need to be removed in under 20 years, they seem pretty fumped honestly
@@10jimmy True, they are pretty sensitive despite their structure, but to be honest, there is some truth that we are Neglecting them and not taking good care of them because we don't know that they are vital and essential, and that they are connected to all our organs over all our bodys, and that if the nerve system of a tooth is dead it should be extracted with good care and cleaning, because no matter what it's a dead part of the body and should be removed at all cost to prevent toxic bacterias to flourish there.
@@TaiPan33 you make me want to get my double root canal...
a good analogy is having superhuman healing abilities, but you'd have to get continously get drowned. Basically as long as the infection source is there your body can only do so much.
Would this also apply to having a crown since the crown is not a living thing ? What about filling ? Thank you.
