    Today we are checking out and installing the all new ‪@chimerabmx‬ titanium bmx cranks. This will be an indepth install and first impressions of the cranks. Next will be an initial test ride at the skate park, and then install of the all new chimera top load stem. If you want to see me install and breakdown any other chimera parts, drop them in the comments below. If you’re interested in the fully titanium, electric BMX bike that they offer, feel free to check out that video in the description below, as well as a coupon code for a purchase of the electric BMX bike. I like the fact that chimera has Bmx in its roots and makes aftermarket parts while also making and innovative high end ebmx. Perfect fit for your channel too. More chimera parts installs please 🙂

    Awesome video. I put the Chimera Whiteliners Ti bars with their machined stem w/Ti bolts on my 22” Ditto Berserker. Solid, well built products and great buying experience 😎

    Extremely well made video! Cranks look painful for ankles

    I would love to see a video on how these are made. Very sleek looking!

      My question is where are they really made? Notice they only say ASSEMBLED in the US and 𝙉𝙊𝙏 manufactured?

    Good coverage, Mike. I'm 14 months into my RNC Superlites and still satisfied with them. However, I do like the 10mm allen key hole on the spindle bolts of the Chimera.

      Rode my superlites for a bit less than a year. Cracked both Arms, would not recommend them to anyone, but they do look cool. If I didn't got some profiles with all ti parts I would have tried the cimera

    I’m curious to know how much harder or easier it’ll be to lock in crank arm grinds. I guess it would also depend on if I’m doing it on a square rail or a round rail. Do you think you could test that out for a video?

    This is the last bmx related video we've had on a bmx channel in 5 months. There's enough e bike and electric nonsense channels out there, keep bmx pure, keep the channel pure, even if it's just fufanus or manual lines just something simple, keep it bmx

      I don’t consider myself any specific channel. I’m into more than Bmx and always have been. I have a Bmx comparison video coming soon with chimera and project Bmx. No worries if it’s not anything you’re into. This is just stuff I like to do 🤘🏾. I still ride Bmx, but I find it more enjoyable when I’m not feeling like I need to film something for a TH-cam video.

    Those arms look really nice, but they would be a nightmare to clean

    So, the spline drive sprocket has 48 splines for direct fit on the spindle, just like the crank arms? It seems that would definitely hold the sprocket more secure.
    Does it help with the uneven chain tension that you sometimes get with bolt drive sprockets? Thanks

      Spline-drive setups like this are better than bolt-drive all around for the reasons you mention. Perfectly even. Easy to dial-in your chainline without shifting your crank arm location, and super secure. We're not the only ones doing it this way, of course. We're new to the game. Profile Racing has been making some great spline-drive setups for decades, with a wide variety of sprocket sizes. It's a tried-and-true system.

    Cool but probably way overpriced like their Ebikes. What I have a hard time with is the fact they are assembled in the US, but where you think they are actually made? China perhaps..

    • @chimerabmx
      @chimerabmx 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey brother. We have some components manufactured in Taiwan, China, as well as Canada. But all of those components are made specifically to our specs (not pulled off the shelf), and when we say "hand-assembled in Los Angeles", we mean down to the last bolt. We even spot weld and thermally encase our own batteries, do all the wiring from scratch, and lace and true our wheels here.

    I’d buy these like a shot, if they’d were available in black. Any plans @chimerabmx?

      We're actually having a test set of cranks coated with black cerakote right now! We're likely to offer it as an option if it goes well. It's a pricey process though.
