I'm so glad you are here for we older people. Of all the groups of people that you could have worked with, you chose us to help and I'm grateful to you!
thank you for these videos, most helpful. I started following your advice about 2 months ago, I am now able to jog for 1500 metres without stopping, prior to this I had not run for years. By the way I am 85 years old and diabetic, thank you again, Michelle
@ariadnefritz. I jogged 1500 meters today, it was fun, even raining. First time I have in ten years. I'm 80 in a few weeks. If you follow the John McDougall diet, your diabetes too will be cured. We both may soon jog 3000 meters. Will Harlow is sure a great guy.
Thank you for your sincerity and consideration for older people. We love you. All the exercises you show are doable and cent percent effective.. Am 79 years old and follow your videos. Feel very good doing these exercises and routine. I find regularity is the key for their total effectiveness.
Thanks once again! I’m 74, an avid cyclist, golfer, Nordic skier, kayaker and hiker! And I’ve had both of my hips and my knees replaced due to congenital hip issues. I have been very committed to keeping everything working, and I do appreciate the range of exercises you share. I never thought of using my door stopper for squats! I will now - I have the same one.
Cancer sufferer , had to stop work and go part time , last two years have been tough , I’m finding stairs a challenge and can’t run even , I’m going to use your video to get back to the fit person I was , thank you so much for your time .
I can't run , I tried a treadmill and I can do that by increasing speed gradually I can walk quicker at constant pace which could help strengthen leg muscles , this would also help my lymph fluid In my right leg . Whats your views on this ?
Great information and demonstration. It makes it easy to do on our own. I wish you would do a recap in comments of each move along with how many reps/sets to do. Anyway, thanks for all you do ♥️
I'm not over 50, but I can't recommend those lunges fast enough when you're trying to rebuild the strength in your knees. I really put mine through a lot of abuse a couple of years ago while (over)training for Ironman. That exercise, while seemingly so simple and low impact, was invaluable. For anyone who hasn't tried it, It can be strenuous at first, but it works wonders.
Nice video for older people, I luckily don't ve knee problem bcos I try to do some exercises at home . I had been going to gym till age of 65( 3 yrs ago). Free hand exercises are done daily, I will add up these to prevent the future eventuality . Thank you
I skipp to the excercises if you don't mind. Than I pause the video to do them. The talking is longer than the action. But it is really amazing to have these examples here. Thank you 🧘♀️🙏
I've just discovered your channel and I'm learning soooo much that I never knew. I'm already doing the sit to stand and in one day it's easier than yesterday. My legs, to me, have got quite weak since covid and working from home. I believe your channel is exactly what I need, thank you so much.
Perfect vd for me, yes 55 w weak leg muscles and worsening waiting for meniscus tear to heal. These exercises will be just what I need. Fully explained demonstrated I will be able to replay following along. Trying to get your book Melbourne Australia alas postage is high and trying book shops, one is sold out. Eventually I will.😊
Also, don’t attempt exercise 2 , leg raise, if you have inguinal hernia or groin strain - word, the other ones didn’t hurt, so thanks, I’ll give this a shot. 62, male, clicky knees
Richard,.hello,.Mr.will Harlow.thanks for airing on line!.im new here i been diagnosed with right sided sciatica low back pain.i do my strength training using two Dumbells only. at the privacy of my home 3 x wk.sometimes more. i do RDL,.over head press,.bicep curls,.chest press,.hammer curls,.its all about my mobility muscles strength training.thank you.take care.sir.good video 👍
I wanted to thank you for this video! I didn't know I was doing my sit-stands wrong. I thought they were easy but found they are exhausting when done the right way. You explained the exercises so well. I will add 4 of them to my daily routine!
Hello Will, These exercises are wonderful. However being diagnosed with sciatica in 2018 I have to be so careful with the exercises. But the ones I can do help tremendously. Specifically the stand to sit. Thank you so much. 😊. I’ve been watching you for a few months now and my legs are so much stronger. Again thank you so much.
Just recently found your videos. They are very clear and informative. My favorite pass time is golf and have recently experienced pain in my left knee. Working on strength and flaring my foot out but wondered what you thought about wearing a knee brace while golfing? Thanks
I have tree problems that you cover in your videos 1/ poor posture caused by heavy lifting. 2/ week knee muscles after partially knee replacements 3/lack of balance. What order should I do the exercises
I needed to know how to activate the quadriceps muscle, specifically. I have been concentrating on gluten and hamstring strengthening. At the gym I quit the keg extension machine, because despite targeting quadriceps, I would overly straighten my leg, thereby causing pain right below the knee. So I've been neglecting quads since then! Thank you, Will.
Hi you are a great presenter and the knee exercises looked excellent . My question is for someone whose right knee just stopped working a month ago and I am just taking it easy to rest it. I am told that I have to be careful as there are torn meniscus and little or no cartilage and other injuries to the knee because I kept walking daily. Can you advise which exercises i should do now ?
