I've had this monitor for almost a year. Everything about it is good (can't beat the price for what you get and I paid less than $200)... my only issue with it is, it takes significantly longer to boot than any other monitor (or more accurately my cpu boots at the usual rate while this monitor takes about 15 seconds to come on). When I have my duel monitor setup (which is almost always) my other one is instantly found while this one takes an extra 15 seconds or so. Even when I go straight into my bios there's around a 15 second delay before the monitor recognizes my bios/UEFI. If I have my duel monitor setup it will go into my bios with my other monitor while this one remains off until I get to my OS login screen. I've tried everything... setting the monitor to DP1 with auto turned off and with auto turned on. Also tried the monitor quick start mode turned on as well as off. Just wondering if this monitor does the same thing with you all as well? I wonder if it's just so insignificant with most other users that they don't mention it or does it just happen to be the one I have?
Damn, was looking for a backlight test. I have gone through like 6 monitors the last few months finding nothing but a complete washed out mess with LOADS of backlight bleed. My first monitor, for my first build ever, lasted about 6 yrs Pixio P329. W O W! I got it for $300 and now I'm gonna give it a self made value of $1K! Absolutely, all day. That thing was precision, it's that simple. Of course they don't make them anymore and only have curved now so ya, I'm screwed. I should have just gotten it repaired!

How would you compare this with the Gigabyte M32Q? Their spec sheets look similar and are locally priced similarly (the M32Q is negligibly more right now). You previously said the M32Q is your recommendation for this class of monitor, does the Acer change anything about that recommendation from your experience?
They do perform similarly. I was a bit mad that Acer went and discounted this monitor by $150 only a month after buying it. Seems they devalued their initial buyers. Which doesn't make me like it. There was nothing about the Acer that made me want it over the Gigabyte.
I'm taking a chance on this one! Just ordered it from Best Buy for $269 yesterday. I wanted a 32 inch monitor and I'm getting tired of the curved screen I currently have (prefer flat panels). If this one works out well, my wife will be getting my 27 inch Odyssey G7 for her newly upgraded pc. Thanks for the review. It was very difficult to find any information on this. Update: I really like this Acer Monitor. For the price it’s really good!
Yeah that is a good price on it. I gave it a more harsh review because it was $400 when I bought it, but since it has come down it is a very competitive monitor in the category.
hello, sorry for the question, but which monitor is better? Is this monitor or xiaomi mi 2k gaming monitor 27 for working with text, regular use and sometimes playing games? in thought, because of the brightness of the monitor
So does the monitor over lock automatically? I’ve set my RX 6800 XT to performance mode and it stops my FPS at 144. Also I have no clue how to calibrate the colors.
Would you recommend this over the Lenovo G32QC-10 or LG 32GN650-B? I've been looking at tons of 1440p 32" flat monitors, but I just can't decide. They're all around the same price, so not too worried there.
Shine? They are essentially the same monitor, but the 27 inch will have slightly less PPI and the lighting panel usually performs a little worse at larger sizes. Although I don't believe that 27 inches is large enough to make a massive difference.
Hi my friend, this monitor is now at 260$ and I usually play shooting games and some rpg games. Is this still a good monitor for that budget now or there are many better than this one?
Rendering performance mostly. Accurately displaying the received signal to the best of the GPU's ability, and then the monitor interpreting that information from the signal. It's not exactly the case that a GPU would be less color accurate, just unable to provide the right data in all scenarios. Like comparing a series s to a series x/ps5. Just less powerful and capable.
Thank you for the info on the nits. Never really thought about that before but knowing my current monitor can be pretty dark and that I enjoy RPGs, I think I'll pass on this one. Thanks!
Appreciate your detailed reviews! I also watched your MSI 323CQR review, and am wondering which would be a better fit for my Xbox Series S. The Nitro is currently on sale, I may go for it for that reason; but I wanted to try a curved monitor, so I’m not fully sure.
They will work well as a 3 monitor setup and acer is a well calibrated monitor, so the color will be nice and accurate. They can be a bit dark, but overall I don't see why you shouldn't do a 3 monitor setup with them.
Hi! This is a very good review, thank you. So, what do you think, this monitor better in ghosting and black smeering than a VA, for example LG32gn650, maybe Philips M1N5500? (sorry for my english)?
The phillips looks interesting. Extremely nice actually. It probably doesn't stack up to that philips, but they have similar brightness. It wasn't bad with the black smearing, but it isn't overly bright either. That is a tough call on my part because I haven't used the philips before
So, thank you. I bought this Acer, and unfotunetily can't set off Overdrive when the freesync is active, and this make ghosting to me. So I think so, go back and look an another brand. Thank you for answer!🙃

I received the monitor yesterday and it's pretty good. The brightness is actually a lot better than what I was expecting, especially with the max brightness setting enabled. The IPS glow close up and from an angle isn't terrible, but I have concerns about the bleed. I've got what looks like white bleed along the left side like it's been pinched from the frame and the right bottom corner has bleed that's brownish in color. I've read that some of this can be caused by too much pressure from the panel mounting screws. I'm hesitant to DIY loosen the screws as some have guides have advised. Also read that this can be reduced over time with use. Has this been your experience with IPS monitors? I'd really appreciate your thoughts.
