- This is another one of the videos that were done for a project that never happened. It obviously has problems...got the journal out of the frame a few times and managed to get my elbows IN it with nothing else. Yay. I'm not a professional videotographer, and someone else was supposed to edit these! As I said, the project didn't happen, but I decided to share anyway...sorry for the blanks and elbows!

I very much enjoyed these journal tours.
I always put my contact info in the front of every sketchbook. I have an MS Publisher file with my logo and contact info that I print and glue into every cover.
Good plan! I was really glad I did that, once...a journal came back to me months later! (The lady was enjoying it... :) )

No matter what medium you use or how simple or complex your art, there is always the identifiable Cathy Johnson serenity on display. It's like you paint/draw with a lightness of touch that we mere mortals can't achieve. I hope you don't mind that I spent half an hour staring at this 10 minute video (grin).

Thank you for sharing, and especially thank you for your book "Artist's Journal Workshop". It has helped me so much, not just with page designs and such, but also when I was depressed and couldn't do anything, it has helped to look through it and get inspired and pick a simple suggestion and just try. Just, thank you so so much, your work is a bright light on my dark days.

When you make a journal with different kinds of paper, how do you keep track of which is which? Or are you so experienced that you just know. ? !? Love these journals, especially the birds. Also the toned paper.
If it's a paper I don't use frequently or I'm just trying out, sometimes I'll make a tiny note in pencil, right in the corner of a page! And thank you...
