How I Use a Fountain Pen

- Just one of my quick and dirty, unprofessional videos, for fun! A little writing, a little drawing with a small Noodler's Creaper. Some flex, smooth nib, but not always all that dependable and need some babying.
This one was done to show how I like pens to work before buying vintage pens. (I ended up buying three pens from the gentleman!)
It is so good to see you posting a new video. I so love your books, Cathy!
Thank you! I have several that were done to show just one person, and I've decided to make them public as I go along. Danny Gregory had an idea he had planned to go with Sketchbook Skool and it never materialized so I'll be sharing those funky little videos too...
Deb, me too!😊👍🏽
@@CathyJohnsonHello dear, I hope you are doing well over there now if I may ask?
Great treat to see you again.
I adore your videos and love how you teach watercolour in particular.
I’ve been subscribed for at least 7 years now.
YES! Love it when you post!!!
I just realised you started to upload videos again.
Your fountain pen looks really nice. I like the line variation.
I do too, Noodler's really does make nice nibs!
Do you have a favorite fountain pen that you use? I’ve just started again with fountain pens…. Have a Pilot but it’s nib is pretty stiff. Good for drawing, so so for lettering.
I'm always hoping to find the perfect pen! I like the Noodlers' though they don't flex as much as I wish. I also own a couple of Falcons, lovely things. FPR pens have lovely nibs but sometimes leak...so still looking!
I’ve read several posts from artists who like the Lamy brand fountain pen
@@brightpurpleviking yes, I've never liked them. The triangular grip isn't comfortable for me, and sometimes the nibs are scratchy. Lots of people love them though!
@@CathyJohnson oh wow thanks for sharing that. I’ve always wondered what the hype was about. That strange pentagon shape kept me from buying one.
@@brightpurpleviking I've got arthritis, so I found them really uncomfortable.
Hello. Which ink are you using?
