don't you have lethal at 55:22 if you get lost the binding in response to the target? since it says 'exile until it leaves the battlefield', if you blow it up before the sanguine evangelist gets exiled, you get to swing out. you have 6 attackers to their 3 blockers, and with battle cry all your attackers are a minimum of 3, with them at 9 life Edit: I should've watched for another 30 seconds to see chat point that out lol, nvm
If I'm right in remembering that you'll be at booths etc if you don't make top 8, as much as its cool to meet fans, I really hope you make AT LEAST top 8 because you deserve it, keep doing what you do, Jim
Domain, this mono white deck has the same issues and strengths as the last mono white control deck. Does extremely well versus midrange matchups due to outvaluing them but loses to the top end of domain and can never threaten them properly. Kaya is basically immune to everything domain does. Enchantments, kaya steals them. Targetted removal, binding and angel, kaya is hexproof. Sunfall doesnt do anything to planeswalkers. They Atraxa, steal it and get your own atraxa.
While I agree with your sentiment, I think the deck still has plenty of life to it even with enchantment removal. The combo of Talent & the Enduring creature just create so much value in the cards drawn that it will snowball even through one or two enchantment removal spells. People are still playing all the Overlords as well, and I don't see either deck slowing down even if people are finding answers.
@@walrusassociation9317 What do you perceive the best deck in the format is ATM then? In my opinion standard is wide open; with aggro, control, mid range and combo all viable. Standard's in such a good place right now I think, other than best of one where all you ever see is that damn mono red deck lol.
I know that the main focus of your channel is Arena, but could you show us how to get started on MTGO? If the main source of good deck lists right now come from those weekly challenges, I'd be interested in playing in those challenges. Buuuuuuuut I only just started an account and it's basically an entire different game than Arena. It's still MTG but I don't know how to gain or manage the resources of MTGO
@@sometimesisetfirescardhoarder loan account. Mtgo works like actual paper magic. You buy packs, pay to enter drafts, or buy singles. But because there are trade bots, card liquidity is EXTREMELY high. So you can buy cards instantly... Or sign up for a loan / rental service.
@@DiscardatRandom yes but oculus, delirium, reanimator, emergence mill all utilize graveyards so it isnt 1 deck in the meta. Plus a flash blocker w scry isn't bad against aggro or midrange and if an opponent tapped may flash in to kill a planeswalker on the clap back
@@DiscardatRandom just a difference of opinion . I get what you are saying. In the meta where I play the decks I play are mostly those I mentioned and domain. Maybe you don't run into it as much where you are.

I came here to say the exact same thing, he has one more blocker, but battlecry puts you over the top
You type pretty fast.
In best of three, it’s never a bad idea to stall as long as possible to learn tendencies and see what all is in the deck

I've seen versions of this that splash black instead of red for the 7 mana Kaya Planeswalker but I am not sure what match ups she is used for.

These caretakers talent decks don't seem as good as they were before everyone started playing enchantment removal

Why does Jim refuse to level the caretaker's talents to 3 in game 1. +4/+4 to tokens seems like it would have ended the game quicker.
