What I love most about magic has always been deck building. Since my first experiences around the 2000s, I was creating decks with what I had, ending up putting together something similar to "singleton" formats, while my friends used to play with up to 4 copies of each card. Still, I had a lot of fun and won a lot of times. Today I have 23 decks of the most diverse types and I even had a project with friends to put together simple decks and teach children and young people the basics of the game because I consider Magic a way to improve reading and interpretation, basic mathematics, strategy, patience, creativity and imagination as well of fun. However, the recent news of the end of the Brazilian Portuguese translation made us discouraged. Anyway, it's still my favorite game, but I'm sad about the community and restricted possibility of joining new players.
Thanks so much Josh, Jimmy, Craig and all of the other great people involved with this podcast! I enjoy all of your videos, and respect your devotion and hard work you've put into this channel. EDH is my favorite format - playing a game with you guys is on my bucket list

Please do a Zada the Hedron Grinder Deck Tech!!! It's perfect, Zada is one of the most interesting mono red generals to build around for Mr. Jimmy the Red, being able to draw your whole deck (with cantrips) and pump your army to high heavens, or use jankier win cons like Fiery Gambit or Firestorm. And for Josh, Zada arguably works even better in a 5 colour shell with General Tazri at the helm and Ink Treader Nephilim in the 99! It'll be like Marchesa 2.0.

Congrats on reaching 100 episodes! Love watching your show. I only play commander and your show gives me new brewing ideas. I missed the live show due to family but normally watch you on TH-cam anyway lol. One small critique though I noticed that there was not actual board wipes added. You talked about Merciless Eviction and Martial Coup but never added them. I think you just got side tracked with all the guests and honestly you juggled everything really well. Keep up the awesome work guys!
Very late to this, but a number of ideas: Viscera Seer, Doubtless One, Vile Deacon, Endrek Sahr, Carnage Altar, the new creatures with Carnage Altar-type effects (there’s a fungi and a zombie.) Also for lands: Kabira Crossroads, Radiant Fountain, Scoured Barrens, Barren Moor, Secluded Steppe, Orzhov Basilica... 100% agree with Expedition Map.

No issues with infinite combos, if you're not using them someone else will. IF you can't find a better way to use those 2 slots that's more to the deck's theme, then of course slap them in there. This is a life-gain deck so Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood does work with the theme o:
Run a few tutors, run like 50 shadowborn apostles, the soul sisters, edgewalker, and rune-scarred demon, and ancestor's prophet. Turn Ayli on super easy.
my favourite lifegain strategy is lifelink hands down. all you need is a few ways to make sure you have lifelink at all times and then profit off of it. i had upwards of 100 life in a game where i didn't even have lifegain as a strategy because all my creatures had lifelink
I'm so disappointed I missed the stream, this was really fun. Hoping for more. Also was hoping for Angel of Despair, it's one of my favorite cards in b/w commanders, 5/5 beater with a etb vindicate effect is really decent.

when you build tribal stuff you want what's the card type? not shapeshifter... the type that is all creature types at once.. changeling.. that's the one. well I guess the creature type is shapeshifter, but in Orzhov colors there are some very good ones... Mirror entity, I think you have that one. Metallic Mimic, Cairn Wanderer is a great one, it's sort of like Ordric lunar marshal, but only for himself. it gains all abilities from creatures in your graveyard, so if you have a flying creature, a life link creature, a deathtouch creature in there, he gains all those abilities. and he's a shapeshifter so he is also a cleric. Avian changeling has flying.
Jason's prediction about Assault Suit never going below its (then current) 25 cents was so wrong. It's at 10 cents now. Serra's Sanctum he was right on about though.
What do you guys think of an errata to allow Haakon, Stromgald Scourge to be played from the command zone or start in the graveyard. Also what tri colour combo needs the most love or has the worst commanders. I was looking at making a legendary deck, and found u,w,g has the most love for legendaries but the commanders are about as lackluster as you can get.
I was excited to see this, couldn't get to it live. I am building an Ayli deck and am stuck on recurring creatures. I run a Meren deck so I am super spoiled with recursion now. I didn't see much. anyone have ideas? I s thinking a Meren type recursion.
Actual $ isn't the issue, but a 4 to tutor for an enchantment card in a lifegain deck? I would say there are better cheaper tutors mana-wise like Demonic Tutor 1B, Vampiric Tutor B, and Idyllic Tutor 2W. However since you are making a cleric deck, I guess you'd be getting more from Academy Rector than I would. I'm maining Daxos the Returned.
This is a LONG time after you guys did the episode, but I'm like yelling at the screen that you guys will include Tree of Perdition.... with Ayli it's so good, with Ayli and vizkopa it's pick the highest life total on board... exchange, activate vizkopa, sac the tree for the win. Sorry had to say it even though I'm late to the party... there's also a landfall artifact that resets your life total to the life total when it entered play... it would keep you over 50 every time you drop a land.

They should of built tokens (as a sacrifice engine)/Sacrifice effects with a lifegain subtheme and thrown in some anthems for good measure
