This is awesome! Just ordered my RDNA3 handheld today... Definitely will install this right away upon delivery. Once I do I'll make sure I donate to this guy as this tool looks awesome!
This is incredible. All these can be done on-the-fly with an intuitive interface, taking the complexity out of tweaking your hardware. Support, support!!
Can't wait to see more about this. looks really awesome, def looking forward to this for everything from handhelds to any kind of controller based htpc that you want to fully optimize per game.
If you notice in the cyberpunk clip, its using the Ryzen 7940HS so it's not from a handheld. There's no handheld with that API and Ayaneo 2 is using the 6800U. He was using his laptop at the time probably.
I so appreciate that the dev open sourced the code! Without that, I wouldn't trust it because you never know what's actually running in the background.
I wonder if it could work on any laptop with supported processor, it could be the good alternative app for TDP adjust on the go (as Throttlestop app sometimes couldn't save TDP changes without rebooting)
Its cool but which files do I install from the git hub link? I'm new to diving into handhelds and is there a step by step guide for the install process? Much appreciated!
I wonder if some game launcher get in the way seem like it's like it's alt tabbing from the fps drop when you use the app or games that hate being alt tab out from the game.
Thanks for this. Do you ever crash upping clocks or is this not like an overclock but a default base/max clock you can go up to? Also, with the new handhelds, can you do a 'sweet spot TDP / TDP/performance curve'?
Hey, ETA. have you tried running chris titus tech's windows 10/11 clean up script on one of these windows based handhelds yet? it get's rid of most of the un-necessary bloat, speeds up windows and reduces cpu/ ram overhead from the os. might buy you a bit of FPS and reduce the needed wattage bump to get those 60fps frame rates.
Random update on this: installed and definitely loved it but I notice if I leave it running for long when I am at home/plugged in a background process for it will randomly start using more cpu up to 30ish% and sit there. Not sure why but kinda stops me from using it.
I have a question about software like this. Will it intervere with something like Armory Crate? For example if I set a TDP of 8W in this, what happens to armory crate that's set to performance? And If I close this program, does it stop doing what it does or keep running? I'm a little worried that I won't be able to turn it off when I want to.
Can't wait to use this on my 7940hs laptop, as I need a profile which uses as little power as possible while browsing web/office related stuff, and also explore igpu gaming so I can actually use the 4070 while plugged in and only the 780M to maximize mobile gaming!!! thanks for letting us know about this nifty tool ETA!!
You the ROG Ally in the thumbnail of this video yet you don't use it in the video and it doesn't say the Ally is supported? So does this software work with the Ally or nah?
Great video. Been watching a lot of videos on your channel. Great content. Really liked the Steam Deck when it was announced but felt like it was too soon and x86 APUs where not there just yet. However with Aokzoe A1Pro and others like the Asus Rog Ally I have decided to take the plung. The A1Pro seems like the best for the money at the moment. Thanks for all the great content and help give me the push. Glad to see the software has developed well!
This looks awesome! Your description mentions mostly all handhelds this works with. But will it work with the Rog Ally since I see it on the thumbnail 😊
Hi prime I have had a lot of fun watching your videos. You're quite active and the content is great so far. I wonder if it is possible to use a gaming PC for game processing and use the handheld console as both controller and the display? If it's possible would make a video about it? Tnx ❤
Hi! One question: Can you please tell us what are the resolutions natively supported by the screen? I mean, the resolutions reported by the screen to the os. I can see that in that launcher there are a lot of different resolutions, but I'm not sure if those were added via CRU (or a sh?t like that) or natively supported by the screen+gpu drivers. Have a good one,
Has your friend already given up on this project as well? Firstly, it does NOT work on the Rog Ally, as you show in your video thumbnail, and the github seems devoid of any activity. People posted issues regarding it not working on the Ally, he replied almost 3 weeks ago that it's an easy fix, he'll do it aaaand then full silence since then. Many of us would gladly donate a few bucks, as long as this thing gets fixed and becomes useable soon ...
Hi bro, ur review are amazing, cheers from Italy, I would like to make a question: wich is the best "gaming" mini PC at the moment?, Take in consideration that I am not a pro gamer and i like more retrogaming and emulation, and for me are more than enough 60fps at 1080p. Thanks in advance and hell yeah.
@@AugustineKusiDuah-bk4fr yes man thanks a lot, I'm waiting for the new zen 4 APU from AMD, should be more powerfull and with the new graphic RDNA 3 architecture, but yeah It looks like minisforum Is the best on the market, a lot of those devices new mini PC suffering the termal throttle, they go up to 90° degrees in few seconds of gaming.

I would be eternally grateful if you could leverage your friendship with ProjectSBC to request one more essential feature - disable the Ayaneo Air's stupid thumbstick lights without needing the terrible ayaspace app.
There is no better Igpu than the 780m right now, that is definitely the one to aim for if buying a handheld in the next year (if getting the Rog Ally, the Z1 Extreme is the equivalent of the 7840u with the 780m. Avoid the Z1 regular chip since it only has 4 cu of Rdna 3, which is drastically weaker than the 12 Cu of Rdna 3 found in the 780m).
hi friend if u notice at the time of cyberpunk screen recording he is using that laptop with ryzen 7940hs so i think it will work yes. forgive my english, hope you can understand.
That's very cool. If Microsoft really wanted to take gaming seriously (or system tweaking generally), they would release stuff like this built into the OS.

Very cool! Looks like it is well thought out and nicely packaged!
We need this on the steam deck!!
I think the closest thing to it is the Handheld Companion for people using Windows on Steam Deck.
with the ROG Ally right around the corner this is perfect timing
Will it work for Steam deck on windows?
Same question I have

You are not gonna actually check the code stop capping 😂
ETA Prime can you provide a link for the Ayaneo B. Duck that you had in this video. Really like the colorway but can’t seem to find it. Thanks!

It will work. Previous versions run on loads of different chips from both AMD and Intel!
well duh
This is exactly what Windows handheld needed a steamed deck control panel equivalent but much better! I can't wait for it to be officially release.
