Lovely ! Thanks for covering HC. We're hard at work improving the experience for first time users, especially the controller hiding process and a series of bugfixes for the Rog Ally and its... numerous specificities.
Thanks, much appreciated and keep up the great work you are doing with Handheld Companion. Overall the software is very easy to use when compared to other apps. I did have an occasional issue with controllers disappearing but a restart of the software usually sorts it out.
@@DroiX_Store Rog Ally is a very capricious device as far as I can tell, especially when it comes to resuming from sleep. Also I recognize dealing with physical controller and the hiding/unhiding process is painful at the moment. 1rst point is being worked on as we speak and we have an update ready to address the 2nd point. Finally allow users to hide/unhide the physical controller at any given time, without having to worry about double inputs, thus ignoring the application start order.

@@BenjaminLSRplease consider adding 40 FPS in the slider. An option to export and or import setup profiles would also be nice and help the community cover more games with ready preset profiles to import and play.
Is there any guide on how to install and optimize HC on an ROG Ally (do we need to disable/uninstall Armory Crate or Command Centre)?

Just found this excellent looking app by accident. I have a Onexplayer mini pro (6800u cpu), and my biggest issue that I've been trying to solve with any handheld I've owned is when I use a bluetooth game controller, and switch off the internal gamepad, many of my game controls no longer work. Yes, I could go and remap everything, but that is a real pain. I'm trying to find a way to be able to seamlessly use either the internal gamepad when mobile, and when docked, use a bluetooth controller on my big TV. Would this app be able to solve this? Thanks for any help.
Apparently I cant unlock lockscreen via button while using handheld companion but i can on steamdeckTools Is there any setting that I missed?
Is there a way to get Playstation games to work on the Ally? A lot of the games I want to play require the touchpad and I don't know how to get it working.
Hey thanks for the video, I got the new win wax 2 2024 but for some reason the Auto TDP is greyed out and I can't turn it on? Am i doing something wrong?
We haven't got the Max 2 24 (they are coming soon) so I am not sure what the issue might be.

Is there a way to use this just for the gyro and stick with AC? I want AC updates. If I disable AC I can't get important updates.
you can still load AC and check for updates, you only need it loaded to check and download/update then you can close it again.
Can you use handheld companion and Aya space at the same time?
We switched AYA SPACE off as we were using the TDP settings on HC. They would likely conflict as both trying to change the TDP.
Anyone have a issue where your games freeze up when you plug in a charger using handheld companion?
I have not personally had this issue. You could report it on their Github page at github.com/Valkirie/HandheldCompanion . Let them know which device you are using and as much info as possible.
How do i install it? Link for the app download is not in the link in the description. I do not understand!

is this compatible with the GPD Win MINI 7840u?
The TDP settings etc should work. If I remember right there might be the macro buttons do not work, but otherwise it should be fine.
Could you fully replace Aya Space on the Ayaneo 2 with HC? I read somewhere that it can't changed RGB lights
The led lights switch off as soon as you close Aya Space if I remember right. HC doesn't have any RGB support, maybe you can suggest it to them for future support.

does this also work on laptops?
We have not tried it with a laptop, only the supported devices.
The software always let me jump back to my desktop with the quicktool menu rather than suspended above the game window. This is really weird and uncomfortable. I still not take clear about this problem.😢
I get this when games are running in Fullscreen Exclusive mode, try other display modes like Fullscreen , Window Borderless etc.
@@DroiX_Storeit works exatly the same in any mode you mentioned. It doesnt close on click out if the window. It doest behave like overlay. It behaves like another window ALL OF THE TIMES.
It keeps crashing and freezing and shuts off my legion go. Mostly only when playing a game, mostly unplayable, need help
Have you updated to the latest version? And try the same games without it running to check if it is HC causing the issue or not.
@@DroiX_Store yea latest version. I do have a notification that says "HWiNFO Shared Memory limit was reached, hwinfo has reached its shared memory time limit and disabled the shared memory support. This may result is missing or outdated sensor readings" Not sure if that's anything to do with it. I set up the controls perfect just can't play any games lol.

Update on that. My first Legion go would reach over 99° casuing it to keep crashing, my newer one doesn't over heat. Although I just stuck with the originalLegiin space software instead of HC because they finally added more useful quality of life stuff I was lookingfor@@proffesorchaos
It doesn't work propely with steam.
We didn't encounter any issues. You might be referring to the controller mapping? If so, you would need to make sure you have the right settings applied

We hate handheld companion on rog ally... Here is why:
- app crash randomly causing weird double input bug
- gyro Settings cause weird drifting
- touchpad doesn't work in most games
- anti cheat Software hates hc
- games detection doesn't work propably, restricting you to make Profile, where others Apps has ni problems
Hc has very good Set of Features, but in practice, they simply don't work. Realy sad imao 😢
I would recommend reporting the bugs to the team. They are always working on improving support for the many different handhelds.
