As someone who has a steam deck this is something I would consider upgrading to over Rog Ally X and Legion Go. I like the bigger screen and more power and the 3-in-1 concept is much more productive, having a handheld, laptop and tablet all in one basically combines your steam deck and iPad into one device, that's very tempting.

I've had my deck for almost two years and its' still good, I'm gonna wait for a bigger leap in technology or concept, and the 3-in-1 interests me more as a concept over a handheld PC now. But even still, I can wait for the next generation, in a couple of years I'll think about upgrading.

I actually just picked up a galaxy S24 Ultra, just because I needed to cut down on stuff and picked up a portable monitor that works with my S24 and just plug that in with Dex. Does reduce a bit of stuff to carry.
galaxy phones support dex. just go and buy Galaxy fold 5. you can have a big screen when open in tablet mode. you can have a normal phone when closed you can have even dual screens when in dex, connected to any monitor. there you go
It's probably the ultimate handheld featurewise IMO, but AMD's new APU is just around the corner and that will bring some much needed performance boosts.
I'm worried about throttling issues because they have too many cores and yet the same manufactoing mode I saw an article few days ago that the new Ryzen had throttling issues while running Geekbench and had to be undervolted at 4.4GHz instead of usual 5.1GHz We'll see the first tests in mid-July
A Playstation Handheld at least has a pedigree of exclusive games it can lean on. I don't know why some people think an Xbox Handheld will be successful, the Xbox console is floundering what would be different with a Handheld version? Let alone the landscape is very competive now. Playstation Portable 2/Vita 2 Switch 2 SteamDeck 2 Rog Ally 2 Legion Go 2 Heaps of Handheld gaming PCs.

Just ordered the “Mini”. I’m a little torn between the smaller or larger size but the larger one just seems too big for one of its main purposes (being handheld). Either one can be used on an external screen so if I truly want a bigger display I’ll just to it that way. Looking forward to playing games on this.
Just got mine yesterday and holy shit it’s great. Better than my Legion Go and the occulink is a noticeable improvement over thunderbolt 4 for my ONEXGPU.

Received my AMD 64GB + 4TB version yesterday. Yes, there really is a difference between my Intel one, especially with emulation... That is it's actually compatable. I think Intel has pretty much given up on their current chip because I haven't seen an update that made any meaningful difference.
I had Steam Deck, Aokzoe A1 Pro, Legion Go, but I always look for the successor of my Surface Pro 8, cuz INTEL graphics just not there yet. Finally this thing comes, I have not got my unit yet but I can't wait to test it to see if it can be my ultimate single device for everything. UPDATE: Definitely love this thing, shelved my A1 Pro, Steam Deck turned into Retro, gave my son my Legion Go, and I use this X1 only now. Got help from Discord and got the JCD401 USB 4 hub, I could output to 3x 49" full resolutions at 60Hz without eGPU! I might as well swap my son's 5700XT with my 3070, and sell my 5700XT with my Core X eGPU!!!

Youre looking at the wrong thing for freesync, youre meant to go to the Global Display settings and then it will tell you if it works, if it doesnt it would say "Freesync Unsupported" or something like that, when youre in a game profile you can have it set to On in Freesync but that doesnt actually mean freesync works if the display doesnt support it and as you said the screen is Native portrait and they dont support freesync.
I was reading the igg discussions tab. The project manager made a comment about the screen not supporting freesync. Eta's AMD X1 may be a review model. The intel model he had was an intel ultra 135h. They never made a 135h version. Not the fault of ETA, just think Onex may just want a good review.
Contoller xyab buttons have a weid mushy/clicky feel also controllers are very small considering the size of the device. Im debating returning it although its generally comfortable ally and legion go got the button/stick placement right.

There is the X1 mini and onexplayer 2 pro with 8inch, also Legion Go with 8.8 The 64GB of RAM is optional, the basic model sold with 32gb of ram and 1tb SSD
The mini and the Legion GO don't have the full M.2, the Legion Go only has 16GB of RAM, and the Onexplayer 2 Pro, nor the Go or even the mini have VRR despite high refresh rates on their displays.

I got some controllers for my ipad 10.1 to play GeForce now, it just wasn't comfortable to hold unless i was laying in bed, the sweet spot for me is the legion go, its the perfect lap resting handheld to kick back. To each their own though.

ETA Prime, no disrespect but that is NOT how you check if the device has freesync! You were in specific game profile and it will always let you check freesync options there even if the display doesn't have freesync. You have to go to the global settings (gear icon on the top right) then go to Display. THAT'S where you will see "Not supported" Please update this before someone buys this and is disappointed. 👍🏾
I really want one but the price is crazy. On sale its 1100 after everything for something thats basically a legion go with 2.19 inches more screen for open box which i have one under 700. If this was around 8 to 900 i could justify the extra. If it goes under 1k i may try to get one. Will just have to sell my go first.

I checked out the link and there is an X1 MINI version. I have an iPad mini 5 and the X1 MINI may just be the best screen size I can handle. Too bad it’s not OLED 120hz with VRR.
Cool concept but not for me Legion Go has perfect screen size for handheld. I can't image playing this in bed with comfort. But im happy that we get another great "handheld" pc on the market.

The indigogo only shows it shiping with the keyboard and back cover, controllers have to be added separately unless I missed something?

My real question pertaining to OXP tho is how u think this AMD variant compares to the Intel one at this point in time now that Intel has had some time marinating and releasing updates? I have the Intel one and love it, mainly I'm a sucker for aesthetics that kick ass but I'd like to know how u think they compare in terms of functionality since u haven't really talked about it or touched on it again since ur initial release vid

I have an iPad mini 5 and the X1 MINI may just be the best screen size I can handle.

Cool concept but not for me Legion Go has perfect screen size for handheld. I can't image playing this in bed with comfort. But im happy that we get another great "handheld" pc on the market.
