    I like how this is meant for speed, but it also teaches that all details don't need to be picked out to make a mini look good. Intrusive mini thoughts cause me to paint stuff only I would notice and when I go through to see what I'd apply to an army I'm confused why it took me so long when it wasn't even a character. Great video :)

    Thank you for this video. Sometimes "obvious" things aren't so obvious, and seeing how you can quickly get an army painted for the table first was fantastic. Realizing I can go back and "finish" it later is certainly a great thing to keep in mind.

    I really like your reasonable approach to army painting, and I'm in a very relatable spot with a new Old World army! I am very thankful for investing in an airbrush to do my base coating while models are partially/wholly unassembled, so I can get color on my army to play games, and come back with a brush to add details as the army grows.
    Quick editing feedback: not sure you need the motion tracking in the talking head shots; I notice a bit of black frame creeping in due to the scale of the footage being too low/too small for the movement. I think it works when you do quick punch-ins to emphasize a word or phrase in a sentence, but an entire speaking segment creates a bit of tension, at least for me.

    @trovarion great video as always! One video i would love to see is how you approach creating a colour scheme. I see a lot of creators talking about how to execute a paint job but rarely talk about the methodology they used to come up a great colour scheme in the first place

    Loved the detailed analysis between painting steps-it really helped me understand the process better. The addition of a shopping list was a great touch! I think it would be awesome if you had a regular channel partner for the shoplist, making it available for every video. It feels much more relevant to the channel’s content than the usual marketing stuff. Keep up the great work!

    People would definitely notice that burn sienna in the gold... because without it, it looked anything but gold. Imperial Fist yellow was IMO way, way too much, so you ended up correcting basically everything. You are a hundred times better painter than I am, so I was surprised that you didn't just go for a wash that was actually closer to the result.

    Whilst I can appreciate the speed and ease of this technique I can't help but think about the result that Marco Frisoni got with his technique in 1hr of painting.
    I'd like to see you try his paint technique and see how you go on video.
    edit: I spoke too soon. Wrote a comment before you added that colour variation. That is nice. My comment still stands. Let's see you paint in his style. See if it's as quick and easy as he makes it look.
    edit 2: added the link to the video im talking about.

    I always shy away from using varnishes with my airbrush. I'm still getting used to it an cleaning is an issue. I can clearly spot color residue but I'm afraid I miss some varnish which will cause some clogging.

    Another great video. How long approximately in terms of painting time did the "this is okay" stage take, to about 5:55 in the video, and how many additional hours to get to the final result?

    • @trovarion
      @trovarion  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      In a batchpainting setting you can get this down to 10 minutes. The final result took about 90 minutes, the glazing of shadows and highlights on the golds and the final highlights on the metal after the wash took the longest.
