My question: If I use salicylic acid to exfoliate my scalp to maintain a healthy scalp (and thus grow new hair), will it spare me the need to exfoliate the scalp with a scrub?!! Frankly, when I exfoliate my scalp with a scrub, a lot of my hair falls out

A quick question! How do I know I have a dry or oily scalp?. How do I figure it out?. Plus you talked about serum after exfoliating what serum is that for hair... this is actually my first time hearing that🙈
If you scalp feels tight looks dull and is itchy and you feel like you don't see or feel any sebum on it the chances are high you have a dry scalp. The complete opposite leans towards oily, so more towards greasy, shiny scalp.
yes I prefer a moisturizing serum afterwards, I personally use the living proof scalp serum xx

I would definitely then recommend the salicylic acid one. Also: If you can find a face mask that contains oatmeal you might like to try that. It works really soothing on the patches and helps to loosen up that patch gently as well.

Well many sources said that Salicylic better for itchy and oily scalp cause it exfoliates deeper layers. Y can research more and also base on your scalp type

No not that I know of and I would honestly not recommend it, Too much of it can cause the scalp to be inflamed due to over exfoliation!
