The implications of "The Real Paradox Engine" are hilarious. When TRPE hits the field, a state based check will occur, making it so all nonland artifacts lose their abilities; but because TRPE is not templated as "other nonland artifacts", it will also lose its ability to turn off all abilities. Then, another state based check will occur, and because the game won't see TRPE's ability (because it doesn't have it anymore), it will give all artifacts their abilities again, including TRPE's ability! This loop will happen infinitely in the background, which will indeed give the intended effect of turning off all nonland artifact abilities: a true paradox! There might be some layering things happening that further complicate things, but this is how I'd interpret the ruling.
Also, I don't think they could print this card digitally the way it's templated, because both MTGO and Arena would constantly be sending checks to the server, and it would probably result in a crash and/or disconnect.
It doesn't loose the ability though because the card text overrides the rules

Continuous effects such as TRPE’s ability are not applied as state based actions. They have their own subsection of rules that applies them even before state based actions. I don’t know exactly how TRPE’s would affect the game state, but I’m looking into it right now.
@@isaiah0xA455 Ah, thank you! I thought that maybe I got the semantics wrong snd specific rules wrong, but I am curious if something weird is happening in the background and would still allow TRPE to function.
I think it really does work! According to rule 613.6 (quoted below), once a continuous effect begins to be applied, it will continue to be applied even if the ability that created it is removed during the application process. So TRPE does remove the abilities of all other artifacts, even though it also has no ability of its own.
“613.6. If an effect should be applied in different layers and/or sublayers, the parts of the effect each apply in their appropriate ones. If an effect starts to apply in one layer and/or sublayer, it will continue to be applied to the same set of objects in each other applicable layer and/or sublayer, even if the ability generating the effect is removed during this process.”
Importantly for Yeah Huh! (And by extension, Nuh Uh), neither effect expires on end of turn. Yeah Huh is much more early game viable, since you know your next spell forces through, it can be for a big 5 mana bomb like Elesh Norn or Teferi5
Huh? Yeah! I was thinking it'd be relevant if you're worried about opponent hawing two counterspells as countering a counterspell with Nuh Uh would not counter another counterspell that was cast in response unless the opponent let the Nuh Uh resolve before it. Nuh Uh would be kind of fair if it was "this turn" as it would just block casting any more non-flash- non-instants for a turn and force casting instants before it resolves (in addition to countering a spell) rather than usually countering two spells (unless the opponent want's to power trough it by letting a spell be countered to cast a third spell or has an uncounterable spell or something).. Yeah Huh! -- would still be occasionally relevant but overcosted - It cannot really counter a counter as it does not prevent a spell that's already cast being countered. It perhaps should have "up to one target spell can't be countered"..
Also kind of breaks the color pie.. Uncounterable is perhaps more green than white thing.

I mean... that's not really a function of power creep. It's not been THAT crazy. The game has been going for over 30 years. Vanilla creatures have sucked for many, many years.

28:10 joe chill is in most canons the guy who killed batman's parents also 38:52 alot of the cases are great and becuse of rules when one case is solved all cases are marked as solved so copys of cases come in solved
Arcane is very powerful. Its basicaly play one spell and add the effects of the other spells for their arcane cost on top of it. It was like the mutate of instants and Sorceries, allowing to do broken things. If youi had boost spells, you could boost your double striker indefinitely and win the game.

Meant to be defense against boardwipes. Limiting to untapped creatures might favor vigilance bit too much so activation cost 3 but without that limit could be better - but allowing vigilance creatures to attack and still take shelter could be cool...

Yep - should be "Battles opponents protect" - or "battles you control" maybe.. Or maybe it's a downside on the card.
Tsabo tavoc is legal in commander and blows up legendaries and is a commander with protection from legendaries

YEah batman should not kill.. So instead of deathtouch more power and regenerate any creature that takes lethal damage from Batman and put number of stun counters on it equal to the excess damage.. But yeah - that would be difficult to put on a counter or soemthing.. On the other hand the Graveyard in MtG has such a revolving door anyway that it's kinda like the Arkham Asylum anyway..

There is some non-flyer hate -- just not recent.. Earthquake and Moat come to mind.. Non flying creatures do tend to be just a tad bit stronger in other ways than flying ones so it's not that unfair.. Compare cenote scout and spyglass siren for example.. OR perhaps Phoenix Chick and Monastary Swiftspear.. Could have been OK(ish) if the quicksand only worked on non flyers and deadweight made the enchanted creature lose flying..

Aurora the Blood Queen is actually perfectly fine as a commander. The reason Karakas is banned is because as a land it costs no mana to play, and it is much more difficult to remove. Aurora is actually sort of underwhelming as far as commanders go; sure, she can kill multiple commanders in a turn with Thornbite Staff, but she can’t get rid of non-legendaries, and beyond that abilities she doesn’t have much going for her aside from Protection against two colors. Furthermore, we already have a similar legendary card that sees very little play in EDH; Tsabo Tsavoc, who can also tap to kill legendaries.

The creature of many colors is a very danger design. Even if you have absolutely no intention to play more colors than the identity of your commander there's still no reason why you wouldn't just include it automatically on a partner in any commander deck that doesn't already partner since there's no cost to partnering. It's a free thing in the command zone to play when you want to and it costs nothing. You could use it just to throw off people's idea of what your deck is or might have early on since you're not required to include cards from the chosen color. Or you can be allowed to include cards with half off identity hybrid mana or abilities that generate mana of a certain color that you treat like colorless just to cover your weaknesses without expanding your base. Or you can play an otherwise colorless deck, and forgo the harshest deck building restriction in commander. In CEDH literally every commander would include it because it costs nothing but adds some benefit. You could use it to expand your color identity or you could use it to throw Gaia's cradle in a mono white deck.
Commander would suck if it's main rule was "Your deck is limited to the color identity of your commander, or if you so much as own a specific card, one other color and you aren't obligated to limit yourself in any way" and the creature of many colors would go for hundreds of dollars just because of how the mere act of owning it improves almost every possible commander deck and you don't even have to cut or adjust a single card from the deck for some of it's benefit.
We would live in a world where this hundreds dollar card would exists in a display block that people carry with them in their deck case so they could hold it up and say "blue" and that gives them the privilege's to run islands and counterspells in an Emrakul deck

wait is that card supposed to damage battles the opponent control, or battles they defend ? because that would be helping the player to flip the battles, or is it suposed to target yourself to flip your battles ?
Nuh Uh!//Yeah Huh! is 100% NOT a design flaw. Since Yeah Huh! can't be countered, you can set up your win against a permission deck with multiple counters available.
Power Creeper should have specified 2022 A.D. - I will choose the Chinese calendar.

I know it can’t change because of the money it brings in, but I really can’t watch these any more. There are like 5 people who dominate the show through super chats. Their cards are generally quite good, but the “freebie” section stuff is more interesting to analyze and gives a much wider variety.
AI card review is much more fun now - at least until Nika realizes that people would probably pay him to review the cards they generated.
As much as I like the money, I also would prefer the show is not 2.5 hours long :P I think I''ll incorporate some sort of 10 card limit.
