This was a scary video to publish because 'supplements' is a tricky subject and I know there will be many opinions and thoughts about the amount I’m taking/was taking. I want to make it clear, I saw this as an opportunity to do a 12-month experiment. When I get my blood & stool retest done in 2 months, I will report back with my findings. Also, bear in mind, doing this kind of stuff is my job and I feel as though I would have done a dis-service if I did a half hearted experiment. With me doing this experiment and making this video, this isn’t me suggesting everyone needs to do something like this. My hope is that by me doing it, I can find out some stuff then pass it onto you. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the video and gain value from it. With so much conflicting information out there about supplements, I really want to test all this out and see if I could get the bottom of all the conflicting advice. I’m not doctor and don’t have access to a laboratory, but I consider myself a bit of a human guinea pig. I spend my own money on all these tests and supplements, and dedicate a lot of time and energy to working on these projects. So I just hope you can gain value from it, even if you don’t see my point of view. There’s so much information I could have included in this video, but it would have gone on for too long. I will include other stuff as I go along with this series of videos investigating my health with alternative therapies and methods. Much love x
To me the message was clear. I don't see it as an experiment, just a holistic treatment as you explained in the video. It sounds like a lot but you did that with a professional. I think the result/summary video will be very interesting.
I appreciate you gave us the monthly supplement cost, but can you tell me how much it cost for your blood work and also Phil’s time? Thanks very much, really enjoyed this and added the books mentioned to my wish list! Got yourself a new subscriber 👍
Thank you for doing this Laura. So many other YTubers (mostly US) present these things in a very hyperbolic way which just makes things so fake and plastic. Your experience is more real and more in depth. Very good.
My vitamin d was at 19 and my iron was really low, I had all the same problems that you described, I felt horrible most of the days, terrible periods, no energy, felt super depressed and helpless. But, since correcting the 2 deficiencies, I’m a new person, now I feel I can do anything and feel super energised. And this was through a normal GP, we tested 1 month and I went back in 3 months and they were all good, but since that happened 6 months ago I feel that I still getting better everyday, and now that I have the energy, I’m really trying to look after myself, adding exercises, acupuncture, went to a dietitian and a health coach. I cannot even believe that I’m the same person, and how such a thing that was so easy to correct hold me down for so long.
Thank you. I needed to read this as this morning I am very tired (physically, mentally and emotionally) from making and publishing this video to the world.
@@LauraTryUKYou are awesome Laura. Your research is at a level so many appreciate and have useful takeaways from. I love your authenticity and whilst all comes over so smoothly am aware a load of effort was involved. At the very least you inspire me to look more deeply into the whys of my health situation - as you suggest, any investment is a good thing. Your health is your wealth. I don't want to burden the NHS with needing operations n medications also. Thank you again and hope all is well with your results. 👍🙏😊💞
I'm presently digging myself out of a financial hole (we're almost there!) and been working (freelance,. from home) 10, 12, 14 hour days, 5-6 days a week for months now, and I live in Canada (cold and dark early). Taking a walk outside with my cat in the middle of that mega-workshift is a game changer!!
1. Well done for working hard and getting out of the financial hole. keep going! 2. The middle of day walk with cat bit is a dreeeeeeeam. Made my tummy flip
Have you started reading into menopause? I'm 44 and a biochemist, hence i love reading the research, one thing I'm happy to see is that the topic over the last few years sparked some interest, but also was super surprised at how little we know about female physiology and hormones. Over the last few months I've started to pay more attention to my cycle and being able to connect some of the science to my mood, strength and overall wellbeing is quite fascinating (You mentioning anxiety and depression sparked this comment as this is one of the many symptoms of perimenopause that no one talks about) Looking forward your next videos, as always love your approach to your health!
Yes, hormone info 🩷The importance of women's hormone chemistry is still mostly ignored by institutions, and effective hormone treatments still being denied. But it's fundamental to women's health and wellbeing! Dr Louise Newson is a good online resource for perimenopause and menopause info 😊xx
@@LauraTryUK I went into permenopause at exactly 41. I was on the pill but started getting sweats during the 1 week break. I also started getting painful sacroiliac joint pain. When i stopped taking the pill the sweats disappeared but this was only temporary and returned. A doctor mentioned the menopause and i thought he was being out of order. When i was 42 i had a fertility test as i was making a last ditch attempt to have a baby. There were not enough eggs even to try IVF. It then became obvious that the doctor that i'd scoffed at was right. The sweats continued on and off and then at 49 came the brain fog and that's when i sought out HRT. I'm 52 now and I realise I've been going through this for 11 years. I'd had so much anxiety over those years too. I hope you're not going through this yet, but it is possible. I'm so pleased you're feeling better though :)
Another thought provoking video - you certainly “go all in/no holding back” which is an approach that gains my admiration. So, well done and thanks for creating such good content.
Truly, I adore your channel. Your videos don't come every week, but I can see the amount of time and research you put in. I love that you don't have a big team.. also when your video first popped up I thought your skin looked fantastic.
Wow, looking good Laura! It's not often someone manages to keep me glued to the screen for 50 minutes, I think you're really great at making videos. Also, thanks for being so open about the depression you've experienced, it's hard to talk about yet so necessary to help others in similar circumstances.
Thanks for your inspiring content, and for being so open about your depressions. These videos have been incredibly helpful to me and I am sure to many others, too.
Thank you for the comprehensive video on this topic! It was fascinating to see the lab results and Phil's recommendations for your supplement plan. As someone who similarly supplements (due to much research after diagnosis of several autoimmune conditions, and with my health care provider's knowledge and agreement, and sometimes her specific suggestions, though she also understands I have an educational background in related topics), I have seen vast improvements in my health and quality of life over the past several years. At 50, I feel like I'm in the best health and condition of my life. In my 20's, getting out of bed for university and then my job was a struggle. Now I hike, backpack, lift weights, garden, and have raised 5 children. Thankful for all there is to learn in this area, and how it can impact peoples' lives for the better, when done correctly! One side note-if you can access your city's water analysis information, you may be able to tell if there is lithium present. This could potentially impact your levels, especially if it's not there, due to the particular water source or how it's treated. I will probably not eliminate my personal supplementation of that unless I move to an area where I know it's present in the water.
Thank you for taking the time to write an extensive comment and share your story 🙏 I like your side note and I already have a report for my local water. It’s a video for the future….. I think.
Nicely done Laura!!!Always an incredible presentation of authentically real, sprinkled with science and humor. Thank you for mentioning your feelings of SI. Talking about it really helps destigmatize the topic. I've missed some of your videos due to job changes and puppy rescues, but I am to catch up. I am ever so glad you are feeling much better. Keep em coming! These are excellent videos, changing lives!!!
Taking omega 3, magnesium, and zinc has really helped my adhd, (ppl have noticed I am more concentrated than before!), now taking creatine and amino acids for my weight training and these greatly improve recovery as I struggled with chronic muscle soreness. I also take turmeric and collagen for my knee arthritis and it has been life changing. I take burdock for my oily skin, also life changing ! I could never recommend enough taking supplements !! Great video LT ❤
You often get original point of view on wholesome topics while provide value, really enjoy your videos. Also It's not focus on your opinion but on the reality which is great !
Your difficulties with PMT are so relatable, and so frustrating. I feel like often women are brushed aside when they talk about these things, but it is a real and serious drain on our mental and physical well being. It should always be taken seriously and I'm so glad you did
That was awesome Laura, thank you so much for sharing, really appreciate your honesty and commitment. Cannot wait for the update, I’m sure there will be huge improvements in your new blood work ❤
Great video!! Those who haven’t been in your situation and felt low and foggy won’t ever understand you and why you did all this. Then there are people that are going through similar issues struggling and trying to find a solution. Thanks for sharing
I had the same pmt issues, I fixed it with taking B vitamins, which I’ve now stopped in favour of eating mussels and salmon throughout the week.. it’s helped enormously, I no longer have the issues, or any anxiety. I never experienced these things until the last year or so (44 now). Glad you’re feeling better physically and mentally now!
Doctors Nutrition in Gulfport, MS is who I’ve used for 20 years. They are extremely knowledgeable and holistic!! They do all our bloodwork for ten cents on the dollar of what medical centers charge. And, they only run tests on what is truly needed. Our family of 10 has remained healthy because of options like them. We’re grateful.❤
Honestly, @LauraTryUK I think you have created one of the best quality channels on this platform. I absolutely appreciate the incredible effort you put into each video, and how honest, informed and tempered you are in sharing health information. Well done!!!!
Brilliant this is , love my features ❤! I have so many phone calls with Laura but i was still so glued to the whole video, it’s executed so perfectly. You’ve nailed this Laura. I can now also use this to show people so they can understand my journey the last 204 days as ‘most don’t get it’ Thank god for phill, for helping me with my health 🙌 7 years of problems and nothing coming up in doctors checks!
Hey laura, you mentioned sauerkraut and we make our own and I love it, so easy! Haven't had any blood tests unfortunately but "intuition" aka the internet tells me it's all good, would love to know any actual scientific stuff you come up with. Also we make kombucha, have no idea what Dr Phil would say but also easy, and delicious, and way cheaper than shop bought, would love it if this was included in a fermented episode. Cheers for all your info.
Sooo good that you are explaining this! So many people are depleted and malnourished, their body suffers including their mental health. People need to know about the health of their body because a Dr. Never learns anything about food and supplements in combination with blood tests because of costs and insurance. Happy you inform people as well❤
Thanks for your comment Thomas. I never intended for all this to happen, but that first blood test was the start of it all. A few more weeks until the retest. It will be SOOOOOOOO INTERESTING!!!!!!!!
I am so glad I found your channel. I have found your videos to be so interesting, informative and well-produced. I had a detailed blood, stool and saliva test done a year ago and have been on a supplement plan that has made a HUGE difference. I had complained about many of the same things you did. And also felt like maybe it was in my head, but just KNEW things weren’t right. I have been eating better and exercising too, but not as well as you. It’s a work in progress 😊 Thank you for the awesome content that you create.
I used to take supplements too (not 51 a day though), but I realized we simply can't know how much of each element our body needs each day, it depends on 1000th of factors. Therefore eating nutrient-dense food is the most safe and natural way for me to eat. The only supplement I take is iodine because we live in the iodine-deficient region. But all other is present in red meat, fat, fish, cheese, eggs...these are all we need really. Anyway, thank you for your work!
This was such a great video, LT. I’ve followed your health journey for a while. I was saddened though to hear about your struggle with depression. I’m so glad you kept it in your video as many people feel like that, but mental health is still a bit of a tricky one for folk to open up about. What did shock me was how your standard GP blood test came back normal. How many people must be suffering, as you were, and not have the resources to get professional help. Bloodwork in other countries includes hormone testing, it’s about time the UK caught up. Then people can be given help and control of their health via lifestyle and education. It’s crazy that most people are in that feedback loop of a 10 minute GP appointment and big pharma medication. But some of that is patient-led; folk want a quick fix, don’t want to make changes as you have. Or have the financial resources, so it’s a complex issue. I always look forward to your videos and can’t wait to see your updates - the combination of improved diet, supplements and strength training has transformed you ❤
Love your videos, Laura! 😃You inspire me to make healthy changes. I greatly appreciate your honesty & the thoroughness of information you present. You are very likable and downright adorable! Thank you so much for your work & effort! 💚
This was really thorough. The supplements I take regularly is Vitamin D and K-2. I was told they really should go hand in hand and I started this because bloodwork showed my D levels as low, even though I do spend time in the sun, my body just doesn't absorb it properly. I have considered taking berberine, because my cholesterol is high and I don't want to start a statin (my body has always just produced a lot, regardless of my weight or diet but the numbers have increased since menopause).
Welcome back Laura, I love your videos and hope to see you do more. By the way I went to Phil Richards after watching your video with him. I should be getting my blood results any day now to find out how healthy I am..or not🤔
I find this so confusing. Thinking about it, all your deficiencies seem to stem from low stomach acid. So what caused that? I don’t understand why we should need this much nutrition seeing as the average calorie intake for weight Maintenance and in hunter gatherers is around 2400 to 2000 for a woman. With that many you can only cram in so much high nutrient food. Even if you didn’t eat any junk food at all you will struggle. I know because I too used to use Chronometer. It drove me crazy and I ended up eating too many calories to get all green ticks. I think the recommended goals must be wrong. We all know people who eat a very limited diet but are healthy and happy. Eating more animal protein probably helped your deficiencies but getting enough folate and other micronutrients requires you to eat far more nuts and or leafy greens than is ever seen in any free eating population. Something is wrong there. Same with calcium. To get ‘enough’ you have to eat a ton of dairy. What about the millions who are lactose intolerant? I only take D3 and only recently since I used to live in the tropics. I give my husband krill oil since he won’t eat fish. I have found a lot of supplements (and I have used them) cause bad side effects. Omega 3 made cuts bleed too freely, Creatine gave me awful gastric problems, magnesium can make you sleepy in the daytime. Progesterone makes me dizzy and achy and miserable. It’s not necessarily a free ride. I am deeply suspicious of these people who sell tests and then prescribe supplements and retests and consultations. It’s a business. Also you changed your diet radically over the last year to have a lot more protein and took up weight training. Those two things could explain all the benefits. Basically you changed so many things you can’t really know what was the key change you needed to make. Maybe Phil can enlighten us? Although he doesn’t look too healthy does he?
As always, so much information ... very well explained. I am so happy that this plan worked for you LT. Also, the video is well done !!! All what you said makes so much sense. Very well done, thanks LT.
(30:21) That will be really interesting to see how you fermented your sauerkraut. So far I've fermented tomatoes (not recommended - tasting strongly of alcohol 🥴 and not the good kind), I've fermented bell peppers garlic chillies and red onion - these were nice 😋
On the hair testing, it would be more interesting to compare the results to your last blood test, as in hair you can see how you did over the last year (depending how long your hair is) not how you're doing today.
Thanks for such an interesting video on a sometimes confusing topic and I’m glad you’re feeling so healthy now. I’ve always felt okay and had good diet and exercise but I started to add a few extra supplements into my diet about a year ago. Mostly D & K, B6 &12, magnesium, cod liver oil, and creatine. I also added green powder, fibre and a daylight lamp as I get up so early. I’m quite conservative in the dosages but feel amazing now and haven’t any plans to add any more, soon I’ll put the D and the lamp away for the summer as I work outside. I agree it’s better to head off health problems early if possible - I’m pleased that my GP has no idea who I am yet
Your approach to get your health/nutrition verified with hard data is awesome - its such a refreshing contrast to most "I don't know but I use common sense and I'm sure that..." people. Combining ignorance with supplements is always dangerous!
You're not alone. Millions of people have been sold on supplements from youtubers because the medical doctor have let them down. Most people have the same symptoms as you and we were chasing symptoms not the cause which is our food and gut. Great video
In 2022 I did something here called Nutrition Response Testing. No blood work involved so it is very non scientific but I had to give it a try. They test you in a laying of hands sort of way and then recommend supplements based on their findings. It could just be a sly way to sell supplements. I was taking about half as many per day as you. After 9 months I stopped as though I felt it may have been helping a bit I slid back into my spells. The nutritionist there called me a nutrition superstar based on my diet which I maintain. A year or so later working with my doctors and a new specialist I seem to be making positive progress. Wishing you continued success and well being!
I'd say everyone needs a little handful of them. Modern water and soil and therefore modern food is often divoid of many nutrients. Other factors like modern life and location leave you lacking in nutrients like vitamin d or even block absorption of others; one example being magnesium requirements are higher is many people taking various common medications... This on top of the fact that magnesium is one mineral less abundant today than it used to be.
This was fabulous and very informative, thanks for putting it together. Really makes me wonder who in the states I could Go to for this type of treatment.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I’ve always believed that real healthy food should be all you need but you bring up the flaws in that argument. You look fantastic. Keep it up!
I’m pleased you understood the points I spoke about. I’m pleased because this was the 8th version of that video- I couldn’t get the words right before. I also believe that we should be able to get what we need from food, but many contributing factors don’t allow that for me and others - both from my own previous choices, and the way the modern world is.
The edit with your head in the golf hole cracked me up!😂 Great information, Laura. One's health is a holistic endeavour and supplements often do have a role to play - it's about understanding what your individual needs are and eating, exercising and supplementing accordingly.
HaHa… a calcium supplement ad came on right after you were talking about them! But, great video, I take a fair few supplements ( I’ve studied Naturopathy at uni) but to be honest, it’s still a bit of guesswork. I’d love to get the testing done like you, but I can get a few done by the doctors ( on Medicare) in Australia. Glad to hear you are feeling so much better and I’m also glad how you pointed out that all this advice in this video is over and above the good fundamentals of health. Thanks for this video.
Hi there Laura, As a long-time subscriber, I just wanted to say that I love your channel! I'm really interested in doing the Phil Richards lab tests and consultations. However, I couldn't help but notice that the person diagnosing the health issues is also the one selling the remedy Eg. The supplements. It seems like most, if not all, the supplements mentioned in the videos are from Phil Richards' shop, rather than being sourced from other places like Amazon as mentioned in your first video. I'm really eager to do the tests, but I can't help feeling a bit skeptical about this setup. Are my concerns valid? I would love to hear your (or anyone elses) thoughts on this matter. Cheers
Hi, thank you for your comment and questions. Yes, I can see your concern. When I had my first blood test and made that video I was taking supplements Phil recommended - I bought most of them from the internet like Amazon and a few other places. Since then, given Phil's work and business, he set up his own supplement company so: 1. He could use top-quality ingredients in his products - bio-available, organic where possible 2. Know the source of the ingredients 3. Blend supplements with other ingredients for best absorption 4. Know the dose of each supplement 5. Know each supplement inside out so he knows what his clients are taking 6. And of course, earn money from the supplements he recommends to his clients, rather than directing them to a plethora of Amazon sellers (some of which aren't the _exact_ supplements he wants them to take because the _exact_ supplement doesn't exist on the market) Does that all make sense? To some, it could sound as though I stick up for Phil, but having worked with him for over a year now, and he is also working with some friends of mine, I can see his interest is entirely on helping people get in good health. Some people are sceptical of that, and I can understand that as there are so many scammers, wideboys and BS marketing out there. But this guy is the real deal. I hope all that makes you feel better about getting tested. If you didn't want to take his supplements, he wouldn't care, he would say get them from Amazon. His focus is on his client's health.
Thank you for making this video! The fact that you took time and tracked your progress for a year is appreciated! And PLEASE, make the video about the sauerkraut!
You're truly wonderful. I really appreciate, love and enjoy your videos. Thank you. Keep the humour coming too, I especially love the random edits where you pop in a funny voice or distortion 😎 xx
Yes-this video did make sense. Excellent excellent presentation on supplements and their role in our health. I learned a lot and bravo to you for healing the way you have. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Laura, thanks for this video. ❤ I really resonate with your personality and candour. If there is one take away I got from this video it was, “get the blood tests done!” ✅
Laura, you are doing great and you don't need to justify anything to anyone! You have made the intent of this video crystal clear. You could have included a dozen more comments about how you are taking that dose as a result of a blood test or how you have paid for everything yourself and some people would have still been triggered by the amount of supplements you are taking. I am fairly sure most of your recent critics have never found themselves in the physical and mental state that you were in before you decided to make those drastic lifestyle changes. I hope that you will still have the confidence to talk about controversial topics in the future whenever you want to and that you can fight the urge to please everybody. While constructive criticism should always be welcome, you can definitely trust your own judgement to assess whether some people are just overreacting. :)
Super interesting, thanks for sharing, Laura. Yes, blood testing first, then supplementation. More and more labs are offering testing including extensive recommendations based on your test all over the world. On the topic of lithium: Dr. Michael Nehls from my home country of Germany does great research on lithium and its health benefits. His findings are truly fascinating and he does have a YT channel, I believe also with content in english.
Thank you Laura, what a journey and so glad to hear that you are feeling so much better 👍 it sure is a big investment but o ur health is he most valuable thing that we have 🌷
Thank you! Phil sounds like the resource I’ve been looking for. I see that stool analysis is not available in the US though. Also I wonder how a consultation would work with the time zones. If anyone from the US has utilized the lab panels I would love to hear about it.
Awesome video and thank you for being so honest! I agree with what your doing and yes real food is the main thing and certain supplements can help. It just takes time to see how and what’s working😁 so glad your doing better and feeling better!
I had an experience as a kid growing hydroponic basil for fun. This basil sat on my windowsill and within a short time was so big it filled my entire window like a shrub. I had never seen basil grow like that! My mind was blown and I wondered how it was possible. I came to the conclusion that this plant was getting everything it needed in high doses from the fertiliser I was giving it. It was thriving! And it made me wonder ever since, what do humans need to thrive like that? Obviously what we eat must make a huuuuge difference to whether we thrive like the basil in my window or just struggle, like a basil not looked after properly. I do wish I had the money to get a full blood test and advice like this, I think it would be the key to so many things.
So glad you are mentally and physically better. Theres so much information here, i`m currently on 2nd listen. I`m currently taking a lot of supps for various reasons, now looking at getting a blood test as you suggest.
Brilliant! Thank you Laura. I’m certainly going to look into this. I’ve suffered from fatigue & low mood for years, but no medical reason can be found.
Amazing video Laura! Great comprehensive information, with explanation why this sould be done with professional consutation and in combination with healthy lifestyle. ❤
Hi Laura, stopped the pill at 35 exactly like you after 18 years… progesterone is life changing! It actually solved most of my problems. Sadly is very difficult to find a doctor that prescribes it. Female health is so undervalued.
Hi Laura, never stop doing what you do. Please do not underestimate how much it helps people and makes such a difference in their lives. Out of curiosity, as the general information out there is quite vague - what was your hcl protocol?
Really like your videos Laura. This was very interesting especially the part about your thyroid being under active but not being picked up by a Doctors test cause I have had many symptoms for years that seem to point to that but whenever they test they say it's normal. This really makes me want to get my bloods done with Phil but looking at the prices I might have to save up for a bit. Thanks for all the info. I can see that you're looking amazing healthy since you started this plan and your skin does look great. So glad that it has lifted the depressive fog as well!
Hi, I had been feeling unwell for many years. It took me some time to save for the blood tests, and I am so pleased I did. It answered so many unanswered questions. You’ll have probably already thought about it, but also bear in the mind the possible cost after the tests for action plans etc. It’s a lot to take in, but we can often find ways to make it work 💫
Laura, thanks again for bringing us through another really comprehensive video into your commitment to health. I love how you break it all down and with your videos 50 minutes is never too long! I’m wondering how your body became so deficient with some minerals such as magnesium as you were quite healthy and active before the blood tests? Did Phil investigate this? I’m at the stage where the blood tests with my GP is ok except that I have hypothyroidism but I have a lot of symptoms similar to you and I eat well and exercise. After watching this I know I now need more comprehensive testing, at least I know lots of people feel this way too.
Well, I’m impressed. I’m sure I have a bit of the bad stuff going on. I’ve been wearing a CGM for some months and am shocked at how my blood sugar reacts to foods I eat. Truly shocked. Especially the “good for diabetics” foods that are very much not good for me at alll. Time to dig deeper into testing!
Thanks for the video Laura I found it really interesting, I watched your other video about your blood test results and I've just had my blood taken and sent to Phil, I can't wait to get my results and start on a good nutrition and supplement regime to feel better. You look amazing btw
Thank you for your reply. I've sent an enquiry. Hope so much it helps you get on track. I had GP results back yesterday and she gave me a clean bill of health but I took home a print out n I am edging onto red flag areas on liver inflammation and HGB A1C which she didn't think to mind me about. And I can't interpret the rest.. I am super glad to know something is up though and will pursue privately as I don't drink, smoke, take drugs and eat loads of good stuff so.. Needs looking into as not much wriggle room with those results. 🙏
@uyouhaveyou that's the thing GP's tell you your OK but you want to be in the optimal range, like Laura said in the video she thought she was doing all the right things but she needed a bit more, I hope you get answers and soon start to feel better
Much love x
always read the lables of vitamins/minerals = lots of them had inflammatory ingredients like seed oils & chemicals that keep you sick.
To me the message was clear. I don't see it as an experiment, just a holistic treatment as you explained in the video. It sounds like a lot but you did that with a professional.
I think the result/summary video will be very interesting.
I’d be so interested in an even longer version. This video was incredible insight!
Laura Thank you 🙏 this was a game changer awesome video!
Very good.
Oh Laura, I’m so sorry you were suffering. I’m so pleased you’re feeling better. 🥰
I absolutely love your channel Laura. Your hard work does not go unnoticed!! please know that you add to peoples lives, keep doing what you love ❤️
Thank you. I needed to read this as this morning I am very tired (physically, mentally and emotionally) from making and publishing this video to the world.
I completely agree! 👏
Over the last few months I've started to pay more attention to my cycle and being able to connect some of the science to my mood, strength and overall wellbeing is quite fascinating
(You mentioning anxiety and depression sparked this comment as this is one of the many symptoms of perimenopause that no one talks about)
Looking forward your next videos, as always love your approach to your health!
It’s a topic I will explore in the future for sure. Especially as I am 41 and will be entering that phase of my life soon-ish
@@LauraTryUK Some women begin perimenopause as early as 35 and can benefit for hormone therapy
I’m flattered you were glued for the whole video. That took me 8 attempts to write and _hours_ to edit so your comment means a lot.
Thanks for your inspiring content, and for being so open about your depressions. These videos have been incredibly helpful to me and I am sure to many others, too.
Thank you! Thank you 🙏
Thank you for the comprehensive video on this topic!
Thank you for taking the time to write an extensive comment and share your story 🙏
I like your side note and I already have a report for my local water.

Thank you 🙏
Your difficulties with PMT are so relatable, and so frustrating.
Thanks for sharing
great job in covering the topic of supplements and how lifestyle exercise and nutrition all contribute
The courage to be honest....eradicates all the bullshit stories of who we think we are....this is my 3rd view of your content...your fckn Brilliant!
I wish there was someone like Phil in the U.S. I don’t know if any nutritionists that would actually be this thorough.
Laura I admire your openness and appreciate your informative approach. I wish you very well on this and all of your adventures.
Honestly, @LauraTryUK I think you have created one of the best quality channels on this platform. I absolutely appreciate the incredible effort you put into each video, and how honest, informed and tempered you are in sharing health information. Well done!!!!

Thank god for phill, for helping me with my health 🙌 7 years of problems and nothing coming up in doctors checks!
Happy you inform people as well❤
Thanks for the update, Laura! I have been wondering how this journey was progressing. Can’t wait for the year later results!
Thanks for your comment Thomas.

I just discovered your channel and I love your videos, so informative and nuanced! I can’t wait to watch the follow up after your new tests :)
Fascinating video! I’m glad you feel better 😊
This was the best video about supplements that I have ever seen. Thank you.
I always look forward to your videos and can’t wait to see your updates - the combination of improved diet, supplements and strength training has transformed you ❤
Looking forward to the follow-up video!
it'll be out on Sunday! I'm exporting it _right_ now.

@@LauraTryUK any points made about cholesterol by PHIL? his view? yours?
It’s not always about the way people look…..
I don’t think I need to explain anymore
As always, so much information ... very well explained. I am so happy that this plan worked for you LT. Also, the video is well done !!! All what you said makes so much sense. Very well done, thanks LT.
This comment 🙏 thank you!
This video took weeks to make!
(30:21) That will be really interesting to see how you fermented your sauerkraut. So far I've fermented tomatoes (not recommended - tasting strongly of alcohol 🥴 and not the good kind), I've fermented bell peppers garlic chillies and red onion - these were nice 😋
I cannot wait to make more! I can’t believe how easy it was and then so delicious!
I’ll make that video soon I think.
@@LauraTryUK Yes, I was surprised by that too. Will be looking forward to that video 😊
On the hair testing, it would be more interesting to compare the results to your last blood test, as in hair you can see how you did over the last year (depending how long your hair is) not how you're doing today.
I think I understand your comment. I will make it work and correlate correctly
Definitely make that sauerkraut video! I started brewing my own kombucha for gut health, and I imagine sauerkraut is right up the same alley.
SO happy to see your face! Missed you💜Thank you so much for sharing! Great timing, great info🙌🏼✨
This is an excellent video - Thank you for sharing and all your hard work. God bless you always, Love Rachel
Awesome vid, thank you Laura! I'm saving up to get blood tests with Phil. I've definitely been convinced to give this a proper go from your vids.
It’s a game changer.
For me, I’d say it’s been a life saver.
What a hugely insightful video Laura. Than you🌞
Your information and your videos are always so interesting. They’re different from a lot of the ones I listen to keep going. You’re doing a great job.

such a great unbiased look at supplements, appreciate it. btw are you still using the smart ring? have they had any new features?
I am still using the smart ring.
It just got some updates - sunlight/vitamin D, fertility, heart health and some other stuff which is pretty cool!
You and everyone else deserve to be happy. If the supplements help get your system in balance then it’s good.
YAY TANGENTS ❤Please do the sauerkraut video! I want to make some too!!
coming right up... it will be the video after the next one.
The edit with your head in the golf hole cracked me up!😂 Great information, Laura. One's health is a holistic endeavour and supplements often do have a role to play - it's about understanding what your individual needs are and eating, exercising and supplementing accordingly.
I’m pleased you liked that bit!
It took me a while to work out how to do it ⛳️
HaHa… a calcium supplement ad came on right after you were talking about them!
Oh and I wanted to ask, how old are you, and are you still taking the contraceptive pill?
41 and no. I stopped when I was about 32. Cycles never regular after that.
Ha! The irony!
Thank you for your comment.
Since then, given Phil's work and business, he set up his own supplement company so:
1. He could use top-quality ingredients in his products - bio-available, organic where possible
2. Know the source of the ingredients
3. Blend supplements with other ingredients for best absorption
4. Know the dose of each supplement
5. Know each supplement inside out so he knows what his clients are taking
6. And of course, earn money from the supplements he recommends to his clients, rather than directing them to a plethora of Amazon sellers (some of which aren't the _exact_ supplements he wants them to take because the _exact_ supplement doesn't exist on the market)
Does that all make sense?
Its not about supplements out of context. Its about complexity of real food, for example beef steak or egg. All nutrients perfectly balanced.
Thank you for your kind and understanding comment. Your support gives me strength 🙏

Awesome video and thank you for being so honest! I agree with what your doing and yes real food is the main thing and certain supplements can help. It just takes time to see how and what’s working😁 so glad your doing better and feeling better!
Thank you for sharing. Especially the emotional and mental part. It’s good to know there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi,
I had been feeling unwell for many years.
This is very interesting!
Great work on the investigations.
It sounds like you’re on the right path for health 💫
