I just bought my 2024 CBR500R in red and will get it handed out next week. Can't wait
Amazing, it's a great bike. Enjoy it! 💪
@@FrontWheelUp thank you and I really enjoyed your video here. Everything you say about the inner attitude, what is needed and what really isn't, resonated very well with me
@@Th3SilentObserver What do you think about the bike bud? 😄
@@fabang1138 I really do love it, now that I have it. I having nothing bad to say about it. I really suits me well
I have the 2023 model , absolutely love the bike , comfortable , great on gas , more than enough power and speed for go arround and having fun
I've had the 24 for 3 weeks and absolutely love it!!
Owner why i chose CBR 500r over Ninja 500: Bike looks bigger and is bigger (180cm 85 kg) . Efficient power for beginner like my 43 yo. Comfy. IMO, red color looks incomparable better in real life and is real head turner :)
i just got mine few weeks ago, its a great bike!
It really is, enjoy it and ride safe!
Same, my second CBR500R and I will continue to buy these bikes if Honda makes them
Does it feel slow? I’m thinking of getting this but keep seeing varying opinions but would love a real life owners review
@@SWTVENOM No, it has enough torque to get a nice feeling when driving, and the 180kmh is more than enough
@@SWTVENOM No it doesnt, go for a test drive! Its a great bike for commuting, and goes fast enough for any normal street biking. i think it maxes out at 180kmh.
new rider just got mine about 4 weeks ago i love it
Uk roads are very slow for bikers too many speed limits cameras and very narrow roads like in some village
Great review, brilliant bike
Thanks for having me!
Nice review. This 500/471cc bike looks good and I bet is fun to ride; good competition for Kawasaki's 500/451cc Ninja.
For the display, I think that is an LCD screen, as TFT displays are normally easy to read in direct sunlight. Enjoy the ride!
Thanks for the kind words! It's a great little bike 🙂
Es una pantalla TFT
I'd like to see a comparison video with the new CBR500R vs. the new Ninja 500
Same as always. Same qualities and distractions common to both companies.
Still not available in my country 😢 really looking forward to this as my first bigbike
Oh no! It'll be worth the wait, its a great bike! I've just finished reviewing the 650R which is a fantastic alternative, that review will be on the channel soon. 🙂
@@FrontWheelUp hope to get mine one soon! Im coming from a scooter though. First time driving manual. Hope it doesn’t eat me
I'm debating this or the NX500. Very hard to decide!!
e-clutch would be amazing for this bike
Yes! I recently reviewed the 650R with the E-Clutch...really cool bit of kit.
Cbr 500 r wet weight 423 lbs vs 2023 gsxr 750 is 419 lbs wet ,really ?
Is the Grand Prix Red only in the US for the 500R? Can't seem to get it in Australia.
too heavy for what it is. but TRC makes up for it compared to competition
how are the vibes post 7k rpm.
This bike or Aprilia RS457.?
Can't honestly answer as I haven't ridden that Aprilia yet.
That being said, I am a massive Aprilia fan. 🙂
@@FrontWheelUp noicee
Overall for commuting half highway half city commuting with allot of stop and go would you go with the 650r or this?
The little 500 is an excellent choice but I think I would be tempted to spend a little more and go for the 650. I'm actually reviewing the 650r this coming week so can give you a proper comparison then. 👍
@@FrontWheelUp That is awesome. There are not allot of great reviews and I am on the fence between the two. Seems like the 650R is better long term, but the 500R has that daily commute appeal.
You”re totally correct with your comments about the fireblade. i’m an older rider and have ridden fast bikes over the years -R1, Blackbird,Gpz’s. But while the speed is nice to have, a lot of the time we just want to get somewhere as efficiently and economically as possible .Am using a bike this summer to travel between Manchester and Garstang quite regularly and the little CBR would probably be more relaxing and a lot more economical on that journey than my current FZ6 S2. i’d say it’s probably one of the most practical real world motorcycles out there. I don’t think you can argue with its reliability, looks, ergonomics and combination of performance and economy. Outgoing ‘23 model can be had new for just over £5.5k. Know I could get a hornet 750 for just over a grand more. But doubt it would it be as cheap to run. why there are so many people who think you have to have a BMW 1250 GS just to go up the road I have no idea.
The 650R is actually a BIG step-up from the 500R. 94HP as against 47HP. The price reflects this.
The Satnav arrows on the dash is standard with the app?
They are indeed, it's a decent system.
Is this sold in Japan ?
Not sure sorry.
Do i have any chance with this bike? 190cm height (6"3)
I think you'll be fine, I'm not as tall as you but I found it had loads of leg room. Best bet is to go have a sit on one to be sure 👍
@@FrontWheelUp yeah, will do! Thank you for the answer!
Look nice and mascular
Looking to buy a bike for my A2 license (35kw/48HP) next year. I can't decide since they all have their ups and downs. Which one would you recommend?
The 500R is a great option, but have a look at the 650R review I just finished reviewing...between the two I would go for that one!
I"ll definitely pick Aprilia 457 RS over the Honda 500 anyday.why?Because Aprilia is lighter and has the best power to weight ratio in its class and that little 457cc engine has an insane acceleration..
You have to consider ownership cost and convince. Honda dealerships are everywhere. Also have to consider maintenance intervals, insurance and fuel consumption. The Honda is better for a beginner.
Just make sure you buy the extended warranty, probably going to need it with that bike unlike the Honda.
