I was always a Xone62 guy, back when I was DJing. One club I played in in Sydney had a Xone V6 with, if I remember correctly, three rows of dual isolators, (so basically 3 band eq on each channel? this was probably around 15 years ago now). Probably the nicest mixer I've ever played on. But that was the last time, too - every other time I played there, they swapped it out for a Pioneer because that's what the majority of DJs wanted. Was always a bit sad seeing it sitting in the back room.
I found some footage - it was the V6, with crossfader, one rack of dual isolator, and four vf-1 filters. I think at the time, it was around $20k (Aud) worth of DJ mixer, and after playing on it, I could see why!
I must have watched the DJ City 2 Valve review 4 or 5 times now. Thank you for bringing something new to the table. Really well made, and really well spoken. Definitely subscribing! 🙏

Hi Phable.. here again.. months ago I sold my 4Vmk1 and now I'm 'willing' MasterSounds again.. very doubtful in between 2Vmk2 or 4Vmk2, do you regret something having chosen 2V, I mean: 'having 4V I'd have more chances.. I'd have microphone..'
Just ordered a Union Audio orbit 2 LE here in Canada. Can’t wait! Love your review of the valve. Edit: also have an rme babyface pro fs, loved your videos on those.
I bought the xone 92 expecting it to sound 'warm' and 'analogue' as so many people and reviews said. It really doesn't and the exponential fader curves coupled with the lack of resistance/ precise control annoys me. I'm not convinced the valve sounds any better than the original but it certainly sounds different. It sounds sounds more mellow - the highs seem to have more stereo width - the kick seems less punchy - the highs and mids seem reduced. Things seem more glued together rather than open defined track separation.
I've got the 4v. Just brought the MS fx gen 2...can't wait to get it...saved £200 on the PSU and got the FX for £395....that's £400 I've saved....still wouldn't of been bothered if I had pay full price....
Very nice mixer👍 I am using analog Ecler mixer and burr brown converters. The output sound is amazing. Recently bought Rane 72 because of flexabilty, dvs option and sound quality. I have to say that sound quality is far from what I was expecting, highs are very clinical + they added to much low frequency wich makes music dull compared to Ecler or even laptop sound😅 Ecler kind of a cuts out unpleasant frequencies, and makes using it a very positive expirience even if it adds some colour to the music. After extensive use of Rane I ended up with ear fatigue and frustration. Wonder if older Rane products where the same? Good luck with new mixer and pls post update after some time with it or throw some mix on YT
