Only viable for tracking, the perfect De-esser already exist in plugin : Apulsoft (Its like manual gain but automatic, no sound involved)

I am 98-99.5% hardware only, no plug-ins, de-essers are the exception so I am interested in any potential improvements via hardware. The example with spoken word gets very muddy as soon as you turn S.Reduction clockwise. I would prefer a de-esser which is transparent, does not kill all of my highs, yet de-esses.

Nice, I am always bothered by the high frequencies out of a drum machine, this is definitely something I have to try. Thanks!

Just found your channel friend, excellent content. Most of my instruments are analog and my signal path is too in my studio but I don't have any analog processing gear atm. This sounds so good. Are there any more advantages to the other version of the IMC besides the portability aspect of it? Function wise? Thanks

Would it be possible that you could make a video about the fx's compressor? That is if you still got it. I want to get proficient using compressors, but don't know if I should get a separate compressor or if the one on the heat fx is good enough. Do you think the fx's compressor is any good? Or should I go out and get one?

It's hard to hear the difference, especially at the "Gate / Expander Audio walkthrough" section. There's not enough time to hear, when voicing over it at the before and after bypass. You should let more time pass by before & and after bypassing, before you comment :) Great video btw

That track is really annoying the transients are wayo clicky and the side chain on the synths is jarring

That would be cool I cannot find the download for this software. All I can find on RME website is firmware updates. I can find an iPad download in the app store, but my ADI-2 is connected to my MacBook air, so don't know how the iPad app helps. NM - finally found it, have to select download without selecting OS 🤷‍♂️

Mate, have you used your Alpha Base with an external sequencer? I'm trying to figure out how to get more than one sound (kick) from it.

Great video. Could you explain the p-locks on the sequencer? It is just one parameter per step ? If so sounds limited. Also, does it record a smooth (cc) curve of parameters in realtime recording of knob twists, or only one value per step? I heard the mk2 recorda 3 parameters per step instead of one. Thanks!

This is one of the videos that convinced me to get the Karacter Qube a couple months ago (and compare it with the old plugin, which I eventually deleted because, in use, there's really no comparison to my ears, especially once you start getting past anything subtle, because the hardware has a very different experience interacting with content, as you demonstrated, vs. the very static plugin). Here's a belated "thank you" for your videos. I have an Acidbox 3 on a bypass switch after it, and am thinking of the xpressor neo qube before it in the chain.

Please, I would love to hear a sound comparison with Slew Rate Mod! I have 3 Voyager RME and am considering equipping them with the Slew Rate Mod!

Hey, great video! If you’re not planning on doing it already, I’d like to see a series of videos covering each instrument as you did with the kick drum. There’s not really many tutorial videos on this machine that I could find. You mention that you use the pitch LFO the least, but imo, I find it to be a great way to have sort of a combination of bass line and kick by cranking up the kick decay and then scrolling through the LFO wave shapes to find something interesting.

Very good. Looking forward to the other drum engines.
