My generation got fried for our 20s.
My parents who are " boomers " not saying that as a meme, talked about how much fun their 20s were and they were so care free and they all moved out at 18 and 20.
My generation at 20 or 18, got smashed with a pandemic, we were stuck inside for about 2 and a half years, im in canada housing prices are a mess even rent is unbelievable, so many jobs are taken and gone, so many people have gone to school are in debt and theres no work after post secondary. If you do have a job the juice is barely worth the squeeze companies want max profit while they abuse workers.
The older generations had fun dating while we have to deal with tinder and instagram brain rotted partners where " there could be somone better " always out there and no one can pick partners.

Hit the nail on the end. It’s the same in Ireland. Everyone works 9-5 has no time for anything, drink every weekend glorifying bad habits. I’m 25 and never see any couples my age that look like they’re last. Housing prices, crime, immigration, social media addiction ruined damn near everything. The amount of peers mt age who just refuse to work and instead become neets is beyond me, but you know what? I don’t blame them at all. IT sector jobs asking for 5+ experience out of college, and poor salaries. Not even worth being a developer anymore

Figuring everything out seems to mean Having a life partner, a house, and kids. That doesn’t happen in your 20s nowadays.

yeah seems less and less common. At 28 I'd say the first "group" of friends are getting married, but the vast majority aren't

I'm 26 and I feel you. I haven't moved out of my parents yet. I went to college and changed my degree multiple times, but finally landed on Computer Science, and I'm currently a Software Developer as well. My girlfriend lives with my parents and I. It's pretty stressful sometimes not having that independence with her, but the cost of living is so insane, and she is still going to college. I haven't struggled with finding a purpose, but everything feels pointless. It seems like no matter how much money I'll make, it won't be enough to live and retire

I absolutely love this channel. This reminds me of Woodysgamertag Mail Mondays. Damn! I miss those days! The nostalgia your videos add is immense and your commentary is relatable. I’m 27 myself and I find myself reflecting on the earlier years of adulthood. Cheers bro!

Yeah man I’m only 21 and I already feel like so much has changed since 18. At 18 was when I decided to leave my parents to get an apartment bc they were pressuring me to go to college. 19 was spent drugged out and partying. 20 was when I started thinking about my purpose and the long term. Now 21 soon to be 22 back at UW-Whitewater online while working full time for a bachelors in finance. The 20s are definitely hard but we all gotta start somewhere. The real fear is knowing whether or not there will be job openings post-college

I’m glad I’m not the only one who stresses. I’m 24 and have only just thought of a career prospect I might want to follow. Been in retail the whole time since school.
I always miss my childhood. The games we played. The fun we had. But I’m still happy now most of the time. Just stressed. I have an amazing girlfriend and good family etc. just don’t want to fail

To all the guys in their 20s, I see you. It’s not easy, but that’s okay. Life was never meant to get or be easy. In any video game, things get harder the longer you go on, but the reward for overcoming the challenges is far greater than the struggle. Keep pushing, know you’re loved, and know you’re way more capable than you give yourself credit for

Have you thought about interviewing people in their 20s ? hearing their problems, life issues, and then discussing those things, you could perhaps give advice and share your perspective, I think it would be an interesting idea. I can be your first guess is you'd like haha, I'm 22 years old currently finishing college and having the exact problems your talking about in the video, idk just a thought. :)

I’m 26, live with parents, which I love, have a partner and have money behind to move out… but I don’t want to. The cost of literally everything just puts me off moving out because I know that basically living is going to be a struggle, when it never used to be. Would honestly much rather travel as much as I can before being pinned down by a mortgage.

Pretty much hit the nail. Much more responsibility with more on the line. I find myself comparing to those who are already already successful at a young age and it eats me up even though I’m 20. Already have a full time job while being a full time college student already some what burnt out of doing a job that I don’t want but now I got bills, savings etc. If anything it just motivates me even more to work for myself and start a business and career I like. As I also get older I see how much more the world is a fucked up place and how a lot of people are faulty and messy, there’s a lot more bad out in the world then good. I live in California LA so it’s pretty much 5 x worse here haha but it’s a cold world social media just pretty much exposed that even more and normalized it.
