Bought CX9 because cup holders are in right place. CX90 cup holders location is awkward. Reaching over controls and shift knob while driving is something I just did not want to have to think about every time I reached for a cup of coffee or a sip of iced tea in my Stanley. LOVE the zoom gal performance.
Yes at 76, I have had a lot of car choices. Driving 10 to 12 hrs in Texas to see my family, creature comforts are key. Two vehicles I miss: 1979 Jeep PU Truck with standard transmission and my 2002 Honda CRV with standard transmission.@@VagabondBuilds
This isn't the latest release of the CX9. Notice old style infotainment screen. Reviewer very bias to the CX90. The CX9 IMHO is the better handling car, not everyone needs "Honda Pilot" space in a midsize car.
Although the Tukami pack for the CX-90 is beautiful, I far prefer the older CX-9 centre console arrangement. The cup placement for the new CX-90 is just strange, the console is just too big with a lot of wasted space.
Cx9 is known to be reliable... Cx90 if reliable is great replacement, but once the warranty is up, repairs will be very expensive. The timing chain is in back of engine and to replace or repair it, you'll have to lift engine out. Other repairs may require engine lifting as well. It's going to be some very expensive future repairs. Hopefully it's reliable and doesn't require this much.
That huge differential tunnel on the second row of the cx90 is a huge let down. I wonder if it is due to the new transmission being too long with so many gears
just get me the cx-90 vertical grill mesh on a cx-9 with black chrome on the grill, and I'll be happy :) Considering I can get a secondhand cx-9 for half the price, I can't be convinced yet to get a 90 but I do love the styling
My CX9 has usb ports in the 3rd row... it's a proven driver while the cx90 straight 6 has no history. The cx90 I drove didn't add up to a sale - not to mention the 4" would exclude it from the garage pretty much
@@VagabondBuilds I watched the CX-60 and CX-90 closely as I really was interested in the CX-70 coming to the U.S. next year. But after what I learned, I just bought a 2023 CX-5. The front shoulder and hip room is the same as the CX-90 and I only need two rows and everything in the engine bay is easily accessible.
@@VagabondBuilds I was interested in a little more upscale vehicle and was willing to pay for that. The CX-70 was supposed to be simular to the CX-60 being an upscale 2 row SUV.
2024 Mazda CX-90 versus the OLD CX-9. This is a great comparison to see what the exact difference are.
❤

Nice. So the cup holders were your make it or break it pretty much?

Ha! Just commented about this. Agreed!
@@trudieasbury6172 I cannot say much about 1979 Jeep PU Truck, but I can definitely agree about the 2002 Honda CRV.

Nope, not biased, just typically like what is new. Sorry for that.

I think newer is better
CX-9/90 🖤
You buying one ?

Wow. Hopefully they will be very reliable and not need to do that maintenance

Interesting. Never thought of it honestly…

I can not blame you…

Ok 👍🏼
I prefer the back of the cx-9. The Cx90 looks too bulbous with a hint of BMW
The cx90 looks like the GLS Mercedes
@Voluwest That is a good thing imo. What do you think?
@@VagabondBuilds The rear of the CX-90 looks like a mini van. No thanks.
@@lisa941 interesting comparison.
We have the CX-9 I like the grill more
I would like the cx-90 to have the exhaust tips that the cx-9 has
Thanks for your idea… appreciate the interaction
The cx9 have 250 horsepower with premium fuel
Alright cool. Appreciate it!
TLDR: Newer is better ;)
Agreed!
Watch the car care nut review of the Cx-9 and Cx-90. One is a serviceability nightmare the other is not
Interesting. The more info the better. Honestly thanks for the heads up

@@clarkkent9080 yeah, if you only need 2 rows , there is no point to buy a bigger car.
