    Why does everyone gloss over the connections to the motherboard. Please show where these small connectors are suppose to got rather than say “connect to motherboard” that does not help.

      Usually there is a pin port near the CPU block. Look around the CPU socket for a connector that says C Fan, CPU F, CPU Fan. Also use your motherboard manual aka RTFM.
      Edit. If you are building your own PC. It is wise for you to read all manuals front to back.

    Great video, thanks very much. Was mounting the Corsair h150i elite capellix into my new pc today and the manual had absolutely nothing on how to mount to my older am3 socket motherboard. I feel Corsair really needs to re-design their fans, cable management and mounting hardware

    • @TheTechBuyersGuru
      @TheTechBuyersGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The new Capellix models actually have a totally different cabling system, trading a lot of the cables coming off the pump for a breakout box that mounts behind the motherboard. Neater and supports more fans, but also bulky in its own way.

    • @dorientjewoller113
      @dorientjewoller113 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheTechBuyersGuru I can agree with Tony. I have the Capellix h100i and mounting the pump on an AM4 is a disaster. Bare with me, not all hooks on the AM4 motherboards are the same. For example on the Gigabyte and MSI one, the profile of the hooks is none existant, so that the eyes of the mounting clips have zero to none grip with the risk, if you're using a screwdriver to thighten the screws, those eyes tend to pop off the hooks. I don't understand that for a 150 Euro costing AIO, Corsair went for such a fiddly mounting system, while they could have gone for a stirdy 4-point mounting system.

      Yes, with an AIO (all-in-one) cooler, the coolant is pre-filled, and except in rare models from a few manufacturers (not Corsair), actually cannot be accessed. Good luck with your build!

    I’ve read that most AIO are OEM from a few manufacturers, a video explaining the OEMs and maybe even a review of different ones would be interesting. The only article I could find on this topic was from Gamers Nexus in 2015

    • @TheTechBuyersGuru
      @TheTechBuyersGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This used to be true, CoolIt and Asetek. Due to restrictive patent controls, it's not true anymore. Many manufacturers have designed their own AIOs.
      I agree it's an interesting topic, but many manufacturers may not reveal their OEMs. I'll ask around, if I can get enough info, I might make a video.
