Im very confused because l got a completely different mounting bracket out of my amd/Am4 bag, and l can’t find any other videos on how to mount this version, it’s the same h100i Elite capellix
Thanks a lot mate, a year ago I bought the ryzen 7 2700X and it comes with a decent stick cooler with RGB. However within a year it started to become loud and would collect dust very quickly. For my birthday I received this and this is a perfect guide. THNXXX
Is there thermal paste for this? Do you peel off a plastic shield before putting it over the cpu? I'm kinda confused how this AIO works compared to others I've seen.
Dude like theoretically I know how to do it but practically is 50/50 and THEN I found out this guy with same case!!! Well back to building!! Thx a lot dude!!
This model absolutely outshines the RGB Pro XT. Had mine for a few months now, no signs I need to replace it. The RGB pro XT lasted maybe two months before it decided to leak all over my desk and lower fans.
Thanks for this - was having a mare working out where the cables were supposed to go and almost cooked my cpu when I turned a new build on and the fans din't come on - didn't realise I needed to connect it the PSU via SATA connection (plus connect to a USB slot on the MB).
Cheers fella even though i've been building machines for years when i got this out of the box didn't have a clue you vid made it super easy , thanks again
Hope she goes well man. The hardest thing is getting over the fact that you sometimes need to use pressure. For me it was pressing down my cpu cooler that scared me
Please don't install the radiator to the front with the hoses towards the bottom. The hoses need to go from the cooler UPWARDS to the radiator to ensure proper water flow and your cooler will work better and remain quieter
That’s not entirely true. If you have proper hose length and it can reach with it with the inlets at the bottom. You should have them at the bottom. So there is absolutely no possible chance air can leave the radiator.
What about the CPU Pump cable? Is it plugged into the Hub or the Motherboard itself? My main confusion with this cooler is where should I plug stuff, hub or MoBo.
Corsair no longer have those Amd brackets you show in videos now they got something different for anyone confused I could be wrong but every one I bought was a flat looking bracket not this shown in video
+1 on this. I just got it today and found a different bracket for the AMD. I am trying to figure out which standoffs go into the motherboard, they are hanging loose.
Where the fuck did the AM3/AM4 bracket come from that you used the thumb screws with? The one you showed at the start of the Vid for ryzen has 4 screw holes but the thumb screw one has 2 wtf
My install was working for maybe 10 minutes but now the pump and fans arnt powering on any thoughts? I checked every connection like 20 times (not exaggerating)
Im installing this to work on a LGA 2066 motherboard, but the standoffs dont reach the plate on the back (the one with the sticky tape) so the back bracket is kindve just sitting there (The specific motherboard is the PRIME X299-A II) Am I doing something wrong? Or is the back bracket not necessary despite being a 2066?
im about to istall one it was the best one for the cost but I will turn off ALL the RGB it does not improve performance so I don't want it and im going to replace the fans for high static air pressure fans I am mounting the rad on the top of the but i'll mount rad then fan to the fans are between the rad and the case it make the rad easier to clean you don't have to totally dismantle to clean it
You can use the aio header if you wish makes no difference I always use the CPU header. The fans plug into the connectors coming from pump head as this allows the software to control them
When you purchase this liquid cpu cooler, why is it called liquid? is that mean the liquid it's already inside that both black cable? Do we evenneed to fill in with the liquid into that cooler fan or radiator?
Hey man, thanks for the tutorial. Sadly i've got a problem with my h100i Capellix. The pump basically sounds like a mosquito, even when i set it to quiet mode. It's not a bubbling sound, but rather a constant higher pitched sound. (The pump is at ~2230rpm in quiet mode) Does yours also sound like that?
i have everything hooked up right but my cpu keeps over heating right away during idle i bought the same cooler again hoping to fix the issue but it didn’t now idk what to do
I have this cooler and 3 other corsair fans but I have the asus Strix B660-I Gaming WIFI board, everything seems to working lights on fans spinning but the app to control everything won't detect them
A write mate just bought a Corsair 4000d and a. Corsair hi100 elite coppellex and I wanna top mount it. What ram is good clearance side. Corsair vengeance pro or. The Corsair vengeance pro sl. And should I. Buy all the same. Fans. To match. As I’ll need 3 for front. And 2 on the. Radiator one at back for exhaust
I wish I'd watched this before doing the install. I didn't notice the SATA power cable and ended up redoing the whole process. The written instructions in the manual are tiny and confusing. The instructions jump around from processor types, and are crammed with 12 different languages on a single page, pushing the font size down to unreadably small. Oh, btw, if you previously had iCue software installed from a previous generation of equipment, installing this new radiator can cause it to crash. I was able to fix it by uninstalling the old iCue, downloading a new version, and reinstalling.
could i theoretically mount this to the front of my PC? ive seen some people mounting AIOs to the front, and i wanna know if that would be a good idea or not. on a thermodynamical standpoint i think it would be better because instead of pushing hot air of of your case through the radiator is pulls the cooler air in, better cooling the liquid, but will that screw with the product at all? Edit: so i guess i shoulda watched the video properly as bro literally addresses mounting the radiator on the front at 1:24. i watched the first few seconds before making my comment... im dumb XD
Sorry this is probably a stupid question. Doing my first build :) When i install this, will the cooler run at the first boot up? Even if the app that manages the cooling system is not yet installed. Dont want to damage my unit on first boot. Thanks!
I installed the 150 version of this. I’m pretty sure I did everything right. When I turn the computer on all 6 fans and lights start the pump seems to start. Then the fans stop then go back on at 100% and a red lights flash. Pump still seems to work as the temps Don’t go over 25ish degrees Celsius. Also on the icue the pump comes up with pump failure and email Corsair. Shows 0rpm on the pump also but it has to be working as the temps don’t go up crazy. What did I do wrong?
Question I currently have a H100i RGB platinum SE it has 3 pins and the mother board I am trying to connect is msi b550 gaming plus it has 4 pins what should I do?
Why do they have the fans the opposite direction in the instructions? I agree with you putting them facing inside of case but the instructions are incorrect…lol
This might be a silly question. If I have my Corsair case fans connected to the lighting node pro hub, would I connect them to the commander core instead?
I’m curious as well, I just got the 220T with the already installed 3 fans inside the case, and I am not sure if I should unplug them from the node and put them in the commander core?? Help would be much appreciated

Well, they're definitely hitting the ram sticks. Do I need a bigger case?
do you really have to take the motyherboard all apart?
Do you need to take out the motherboard if you already have an AIO installed? And does this AIO have pre-applied thermal paste, or do you need some ?

Where would you mount the command pack for the AIO fan and rgb??
sitting here wondering why it is more expensive than the h100i rgb platinum

Not to bad at all to have the commander core bundled

My setup is a R7 5800X3D and a RTX 2060 do you think im good with a 650W PSU is i get this cooler ?
Does the radiator come pre-filled ? Or we have to fill water in it?
I’m new to this so forgive me if this is a stupid question but do I need to put thermal paste on it?
Can you put the cooler on using a different bracket cause my box didn’t come with it
