I think this may be the very first Ford Excursion camper conversion build ever uploaded on TH-cam. Great job, your ideas are amazing!
Every single inch is so smartly used, no waste of real estate whatsoever... Genius!
This is a fantastic build. I was thinking more of a rooftop camper build. But I bet the wife would like this a lot better!
That is an awesome build!!! Good job buddy👍👍
We live in Montana.. do you sell DIY plans for folks that can't get down to CA to get your builds.. Looks excellent.
Pretty cool build especially with tire carrier vs on the inside behind the 3rd row on these Excursions
Fantastic build. I've always wanted an Excursion, preferably the diesel version, but they're hard to find in good shape. It's so huge, it makes a perfect platform for overland builds like this. Great job.
I'm on my second V10 Ex. Love it. Lifted with tires they aren't econo boxes. Butt they are fun to drive and travel with..
Hopefully when you start selling plans, you will include wiring schematics with parts list., I need this design for my suburban, this is a great design.
Great job Sir. I have an 02 Ford Excursion. I might want to speak with you about adding a few things to mine.
Perfect
Muy bien. Explicado yo tengo una camioneta. Excursion. Y me diste muchas ideas
What is the final cost for something like this? I have a 2000 excursion I'm wanting to do something very similar.
You should consider utilizing the empty space inside the rear swing doors. They are hollow and have holes in them already behind the panel.
Very impressive ... ❤🎉
Pretty cool. It needs more solar and a larger battery and inverter (which I could pretty easily do based on what I'm seeing). But the real question (beyond the relatively high mileage and low gas milage), is the engine and mechanical: How does the engine run? How well has the vehicle been maintained? How much and what kind of maintenance does it need? I am definitely interested but hopefully at a somewhat lower negotiated/ agreed upon price (or maybe throw in that trailer behind it and give me an education on hitching [among other things]. I was considering buying an RV/ 5th Wheel/ toy hauler. $17K is a lot for a 2001 Excursion with almost 160K miles on it (and will entail expensive future repairs), despite your nice buildout. Clearly it will need to go long distances and remain reliable.
amazing! very intuitive. What are you going to be selling these conversions for?
What is the weight rating towing capacity of the trailer hitch addition? How does it affect the overall towing capacity of the vehicle.
The built-in hitch on the Wilco swing out arm is rated for 7500 lbs of towing.
I would be interested in purchasing a kit for my 7.3 Excursion. Please advise. Thank you.
