I've had my speed triple 1200rs for 8 months now I agree it's a hard ride on shite roads but I'm used to it now the neutral is hard to get some times but I've found going from 2nd gear into neutral works just fine , I've not had any issues with it touch wood lol, I just love the way it looks the handling the brakes the build quality but most of all the power its stupid fast !!

I absolutely love the SD and I’ve had 3 but all of them had so many issues it makes me cry, like falling in love with a stripper with daddy issues you’ll never know what’s going to happen.

Hi, had the same issue with that front end shudder while braking. Especially bad over bumps. One of the brake discs was slightly warped. Easy fix. Tap away gently on the warped spot. Front wheel in the air and spin it slowly to find it.

I have had no issues finding neutral on my RS (23 though). And in general the only time I need neutral is when I turn the bike off. Never, ever get in neutral when stopped at lights - need to be able to move out of the way quickly if needed. Reaction time to clutch and gear (and not stall) is not worth the risk in my opinion.

After testing them all I chose this bike as well. It simply comes down to one thing for me and that is fun factor. None of the others have the fun factor of this bike and that is the very reason I ride. The best part is that the KTM is the most comfortable of the group as well. It is a bummer to hear you have had so many problems. I have had several KTMs in the past and they were all reliable. Fingers crossed that this new one is the same. I did like the Speed Triple but the tech was annoying and it was just a small bike, really refined and my favorite in looks.

The way the bikes are balanced you don't really notice the weight unless you move the bike around in the garage or you are ready ripping a tight technical road

I'm still intrigued at your comments around the difficulty finding neutral on the speed. I know you commented on it in earlier videos.. I love the speeds quickshifter as you did, but I have never ever had an issue finding neutral on mine. I wonder what the difference would be? Europe vs Australia builds?? Clutch adjustment? Weird

My speed triple 1200 is looking to be in the shop for over a month waiting for a new battery. Can’t find any option and Triumph has it back order.

Agree with the quickshifter! Nearly went for the RS, but realised how much I’ve spent on powerparts! Over 2 years 😮🤨😳

So if both bikes had no issues, which would you rather own?

As far as instant power is concerned there’s no better than the sdr. I loved my gen 3 but personally couldn’t stop the chimp taking over and riding it too fast. It’s an incredible bike to ride hard and it just keeps giving. I’ve just swapped it for a new street rs which may sound mad but I enjoy the usability of the strs and the weight reduction. It’s a wrestle of a bike when your on it, which is thrilling but also tiring. The sdr will always have a place in my heart, but without having the time and funds to take it to track Regular I couldn’t live with it as my one steed. Also the flat flooring of the street is very comfortable. Mate I wish the best with it and hope you’ve got more self control than me 😂👍 enjoy your vids a lot

Hi! I've the exactly same bike as yours from 1 month now, and before buying it i was hesitating between it and speed triple 1200RS and the tuono v4
The ktm was the best for me, for the road, because of it's incredible torque and "instant power" sensation...the speed triple awakes only after 6000rpm! And the dash was not terrible for me on the triumph (don't like the tachometer in circle and informations are too small, and it lags)
Do i miss the Ducati Monster 1200R i had before? Yes maybe for some reasons...sound of the italian big v-twin and design
    but KTM is awesome too!

Hi mate new to ya channel 😀 I've been looking at the superduke as my next bike currently on a 2012 R1. I've had yamaha's for the last 16 years and sports bikes for the last 21 years so looking at something more comfortable. Been looking at the usual rsv4 and mt10 but the Duke to me looks the best 👌 basically do you think it worth it making the jump as it all different to me. Cheers dude 👍 great channel by the 😃

      Welcome along mate
As always my opinion may not reflect what's best for you- I'd have to recommend a test ride of this and the competition to see which suits you best my man
      Cheers

i think it's the same with every manufacture ...... sometimes you can just be unlucky ... i have a 2018 Speed RS with 10k from new.... not had any issues whatsoever with it.... i love it

@@oddjobtriumph1635 yeah i also owned a 2016 rs before the 2022 one and i put 42k miles on it, the only issue i had was the radiator fan stopped spinning so the water pressure went high and released from the emergency valve when i was at a red light lol. Turns out the Panasonic fan was jammed for no known reason

Having had a good time on both, theyre both fantastic in their own right. Had a right old time with issues on the KTM too, however I would choose the KTM just for its Engine alone
