I've just spent a week in Belgium and Germany. I couldn't agree more with your comments about the collapse of this country. It was pure hedonism driving on roads in the first world for a change, where police forces oddly prioritise crime over speeding... and councils don't allow potholes to exist.
Once you travel you realise that Britain is used by rich people to avoid taxes and to secure their wealth. They don't care about the roads or anything else because they just hop in a private jet and go to nicely run countries.
@paulcartwright7228 many german roads as you will probably be aware don't have pesky speed limits. You're treated as an adult to decide what's appropriate in the circumstances...

Well why aren't you dead cos that sucker is doing 600 mph. The laughter went on for a full minute. He had a quiet "word" with me at the break. Any more of that an you will be off the course and get a conviction and points. My friend who was also on the course told me to "play the game" "it is all about money and control" He is right. Bad driving kills not speed itself. It is also dangerous being gobby - that could cost ya points!

I live in SW London right now and Newlands Corner has been my go to when I have an hour or so for a quick spin. So utterly depressing that it's now average speeded, it not only means you can't push on but also that you're constantly looking down to make sure your speed doesn't creep over 40 so you can't actually enjoy the roads at all. Fun.

On the topic of road rules 20:20, why not have a two-tiered licence system like “Standard” and “Advanced”. If you’re Advanced you can drive at any speed on national roads and motorways, but you can lose the advanced accreditation by doing silly or illegal things and are then demoted for 1 year. Additionally, insurers would likely offer lower premiums for Advanced drivers/riders. Or maybe be mandated to do so. Obviously it would require additional training, which is where drivers/riders are thought common sense driving skills, like use your accelerator when entering a fast moving motorway; right most lanes are for overtaking only; position yourself extreme right if taking a right turn to allow traffic flow on your left; accelerate when overtaking and reduce acceleration/speed when being overtaken; be ready when lights turn green (minimal gaps); day time running lights are NOT a replacement for headlights at night; if taking the next exit off the motorway get in lane on time (not last minute thereby holding everyone else up); advanced understanding of blind spots and use of mirrors; acceleration sense (accelerate away from hazards and let off the accelerator sooner to buy time to weigh up scenarios); and so on!!

You wouldn't hear the bad stuff if KTM was really supportive when issues occurred (any bike can have issues, no matter the brand). They kept my brand 2022 SAS almost one year in service until the fixed it. After the 3rd failed intervention (and less than 1500 miles on the clock) I asked for a new bike or at least extended warranty. Bot KTM and dealership ignored my calls/emails and unfortunately the laws in my country did not support my cause at all. I would have continued buying KTMs, if KTM would just support me, but I don't have the nerves to risk it again on another bike from this company.@@FortyFourTeeth
@user-rh1zg6bc1n And electronic issues and bad flywheels and clutch leaking and pulling right or left issues and wobbling issues.... or was I that unlucky ??
people always say that about the 2010 BMW but the, and as you've got a 2007/8 GSXR, reality doesn't back it up. The BMW had 193bhp and a dry weight of 183kg and the GSXR had 185bhp and a dry weight of 179kg, so what would you choose ? 8bhp more or 4kilos lighter? I suppose the new electronics on the BMW made the difference.
Had a 1290SDR but the ergos dont suit my short stature, so sold that on. I'd go for a Tuono next personally. If i wanted an inline-four I'd go Japanese and save some money.
I wish I can put KTM's performance in a different looking bike. I'm one of those that cannot get used to their looks even after almost a decade of riding. That being said, 1290 duke was one of the most fun bikes I've ridden. Excited to see what 1390 has to offer.

Two liter V8 from 5 valve R1. Looks well sorted. A naked bike with 300 plus HP. Have you seen that? Can only imagine your reaction to that? It's only 180 grand or so. Does it actually exist?
Why does no one ever talk about reliability ? Its becoming more and more important in peoples buying decisions, if companies are not called out on it then they will just continue to produce utter shite that customers end up suffering with
The KTM is a better looking bike in black and orange rather then the other way. I'd even put up with the crazy headlight. The KTM with the sound of the Beemer would be mega.

Have a Gen 3, SD, and it's a very reliable bike, hasn't skipped a beat!!
You only ever hear the bad shit
That lc8 engine is bulletproof
@@eriklarsson3528Just leaking oil an coolant😂
@user-rh1zg6bc1n And electronic issues and bad flywheels and clutch leaking and pulling right or left issues and wobbling issues.... or was I that unlucky ??
hahaha this made my day the best pov on youtube the road rage on the speed limits classic
Been 44th teeth we put it straight into race pro. PMSL, love it ✊
people always say that about the 2010 BMW but the, and as you've got a 2007/8 GSXR, reality doesn't back it up.
How do the ergonomics of these two compare with the Tuono?
Heated Grips swung the pendulum in the right direction on that cold day
Great banter guys..👊
I have used my 150cc scooter as a work truck for years buy hauling and carrying just about anything and everything lol. I'm thinking that if I get the super duke, I could legit tow things with all that torque. I can imagine pulling up to a track day where my race bike is on a trailer and I'm using a super Duke to tow the trailer
First comparison of these two bikes - well done. Great review
You guys are the absolute best! I love every video you do. Thanks so much
Thanks
Cracked me up about how hard bmw was but kept in pro whole time 😂😂😂. Fort fagan was gonna put in dynamic remember you liked it the best on video before 😂. Loved this video 💙👊🏼
Hoping for end of the season battle of the super naked. Building a track purpose M1000r. My long time race number is 44. In Korea 44 is number of double death. Scare the competition more. Lol
Any plans for next BBB? Would love to see some supersports or perhaps 400s
It is 2nd of April in Southern (!) Sweden and it has started to snow again.....
Forecast is -13 C for tonight in Finland. Will be a month or more before I can go get my bike out.
Det är så jävla segt. Var sol och 12 grader för mig i söndags. Minus hela veckan hittills efter det…
Great video as per. But your comments about the state of uk roads and the bullshit we have to put up with was bang on point. Bravo gentlemen, bravo 👏
Keep the KTM 1390 videos coming, I'm lovin it! But you shouldn't feel like you have to keep your language so clean next time
Great real world test guys
My 2022 Indian FTR has a touch screen and you don't have to wear any special glove for it to work. If Indian can do it, any manufacturer can. It's a matter of choice at this point and those manufacturers are choosing not to.
You guys are smashing it! Please keep the content coming. Really appreciate it.
You two have every reason to be impressed by these factory "road" bikes with the amount of power they make. Who could not be. Then I just saw a video of a bike called PGM. Two liter V8 from 5 valve R1. Looks well sorted. A naked bike with 300 plus HP. Have you seen that? Can only imagine your reaction to that? It's only 180 grand or so. Does it actually exist?
What I really don't like on the 1390 is that KTM have put those combined rear indicator/brake lights on it, which I already hate on the BMW 😭
Just saying. The blue calipers ARE SICK!
You wouldn't be riding those bikes without lories!
Calm down Trucker Tim!
I owned a 1290 r and it was a great bike with zero issues over 5 years
What a lucky guy. I wish it was the same for me 😞
Why does no one ever talk about reliability ? Its becoming more and more important in peoples buying decisions, if companies are not called out on it then they will just continue to produce utter shite that customers end up suffering with
Hopefully Aprilia takes the hint and finally updates the Tuono with more power and some decent headlights and electronics.
2 things that standout from this video, the state of the roads, and the speed limits. Oh and how clogged the roads are from cagers....thats 3 things.
These two are comedy fucking gold
The KTM is a better looking bike in black and orange rather then the other way. I'd even put up with the crazy headlight.
The KTM with the sound of the Beemer would be mega.
