I bought mine from HP and while it did come with the pen, you have to order the dongles individually. I only ordered the multiport one and that’s all it came with. They charge for each one separately.

I bought this HP from Bestbuy in Las Vegas, for 1129.99 ( Member Price) The Unit ( HP Spectre 14-EU0013DX The laptop DOESN'T come with Dongles or Pen. REAL Bummer too, as I had a 2023 Lenovo 9i ( oatmeal color unit) 1360P I7 that came with the pen. sleeve, and better boxing too. I've had the HP for 3 days now and found that the A I is not for us. Keyboard lighting keeps shutting off, PC is slower that the Yoga ( 1360P is a workhorse ) The haptic, Meh, my wife will go out of her mind with it, and the sensitivity of the touch pad. For the 1629.99 price tag, the Laptop should have everything with it. Even the 1229.99 price tag is high, but yes, it's a new product, and we know how that pricing goes. Just wanted to share my insight on it. I boxed the HP up, and not going to use it for now.

How is your experience with battery and day-to-day usage? Read a lot about freezes in web pages. Right now i do have zenbook on amd 8840hs, but i prefer higher dpi screen. Still have window to return asus.

Me too.. The X1 carbon gen 12 made all the changes I wanted. Has an extra USB A port. However, I absolutely need a touchscreen and a good up-firing speakers. HP wins in those areas I guess. Love the keyboards from both laptops. Price wise the thinkpad will be too high until next year.

I bought this laptop today with 16go ram and i7 ultra, and what a disappointment when I found out that it only has 128mo of video ram allocated!, even if they said it has 8go free for graphics, i tried to play on ark survival ascended on lowest settings and it doesn’t work. Everyone says it is an awesome pc with good perfs but I can’t play ! Do you know how to increase the vram allocated ? 😢
Well you are already ahead of the curve if the display adapter hasn't failed already like on Omen 16" - three screens failed in 20 months - the last one lasted THREE MONTHS before failing
I have a 2021 13” 360 spectre, Neptune blue. It doesn’t seem to handle photoshop very well. Otherwise I have liked it. Trying to decide if it is warranted to go for a 14 or 16. Can’t seem to get the 32GB RAM in the blue colour on hp website.

i was going to upgrade from my current msi prestiege 14 evo to the msi prestiege 16 ai since my graphic design needs have became more complix but i needed an rtx gpu along with it and the msi with the specs i wanted was a bit pricey.. this hp spectre 16 had an insane offer at the nearest dealer so i went with it hoping for the best.. i can assure you it is awesome indeed and you prob forgot to mention it has amazing speakers a quad speaker setup with dts ultra and poly studio eq.. the only thing i had trouble with is that it came with a bunch of bloatware but after putting in some time to get rid of it it's working like a charm and battery life is just what i need!
3 things needed to make this the perfect laptop: 1. DEL key should ALWAYS be on the last very top right corner key. Power/fingerprint reader can be next to it. 2. All laptops need TWO USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. 3. MicroSD or Full SD is needed on all laptops.
Disagree, as an IT professional who frequently deploys laptops. Deleting something that can be recovered via Ctrl+Z is less time consuming than accidentally putting your laptop to sleep/shutdown. The power button should be the last key. Due to the massive popularity of docking stations, just one USB-A is the sweet spot. Many peripherals nowadays can be connected wirelessly. Last but not least, only a very small number of people require either micro/full SD card slots. Only certain types of content creators need it, and even among them, many use smart phone cameras for their content nowadays. I understand there are some who do need what your list entails. Just one dongle solves those issues. In my opinion, it’s not worth increasing weight, dimensions, and price of the laptop if there is a simple solution for niche cases
@@julio4494 Your points make no sense. Why would anyone want to carry around a dongle to have access to an additional USB-A port??? Most laptops have two USB-A ports. Try your Ctrl-Z method after accidently deleting a file from a USB flash drive. And YOU may not use MicroUSB drives but content creators do, or media heavy users like photographers and videographers. It doesn't take up any space and is light enough (imagine 2tb, 32gb and a powerful enough graphics card to play Doom eternal, for example). The screen is really quite bright for an Oled. I use it in a room with lots of windows.
Has HP fixed the USB charging problem? On my Dragonfly 2022 model, I once charged it with my mobile phone charger. That caused blocking of the USB port from charging with the HP charger thereafter!! [I found a work-around on the internet: I had to reset the laptop by holding the power button for 30 seconds or something -- the web page said that HP was working on a a fix, but I have not "dared" to test it...] Maybe the problem was a Dragonfly problem, only...
Can anyone confirm that hp re-added the battery care functionin bios to limit the charge threshold to 80%? the older spectres always charge to 100% and that means a lot of battery wear.

I went with HP EliteBook 835 G10 7840U/32GB/5G with Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, total costing USD1,600, as a replacement for my older G8 5850U/16GB/1TB 970 Evo Plus. The bump is there definitely, with enough needed ports, just wish it had better battery life. It is best keyboard "A", next to ThinkPads "A+".

I had to replace the battery in the 2021 model after only 2.5 years. It swelled and split the case open. HP no longer sells batteries to consumers. I have never had a laptop battery fail in such a short time.
Andrew, you just reminded me what I hated the most last year 😅 The keyboard flex on Dell Inspiron laptops. The laptop had all I needed - oled touchscreen and all the ports including SD card slot. I almost got the laptop. The keyboard flex was so bad that you are not able to type even. The keycaps were rough to touch. I guess I have to give up my wish for an SD card slot (as a DSLR user) and get the 16" Spectre. 😃

They took away micro sd car slot. Took away physical camera kill switch. Its like the macbook theat came with ine type c port long back. They should have pit a type c port on left side.. bought it december 2024..
I got interested when HP gas reportedly moved out of China. The CCP gave Australia heaps on trade embargoes so we just getting our own back. Great video. I’m looking for a lighter weight unit for travel. My Gigabyte 17” XE5 is just too big.

I presume it is the same or better then l the newest yoga 9i 2 in 1 gen 9 2.8k 120hz , I returned the day after, the screen door effect aka moire effect like the good old days where still present on white and grey screens... 😢 On the 4k touch is this less disturbing... On the non touch versions this is not present. The only ones to get it right seems to be Samsung Amoled...

Why are you comparing a 2-in-1 laptop with touch screen and pen support to a MacBook? Also, using trackpad is 1 millions times slower than using a touch screen, pen, or even a mouse.

Best laptop in terms of performance for the Intel Ultra H series laptops. Also, an excellent QHD web camera to make it stand out.
The answer I got regarding the pen from HP support in Sweden was that from their Online store, the pen is included in all Nightfall Black Spectres!

I'm choosing between this, Pavilion Plus, and Yoga 9i Pro. The latter is close to the spec'd out Spectre 14 in price.

If you order the laptop from HP you have to order the pen and the dongles. The pen is 40 dollars and each dongle is 25 dollars.

They should have given a extra tyoe c port. They removed the micro sd card slot.

I had to replace the battery in the 2021 model after only 2.5 years. It swelled and split the case open. HP no longer sells batteries to consumers. I have never had a laptop battery fail in such a short time.
Got it yesterday, battery timing isn't impressive so far.
Andrew, you just reminded me what I hated the most last year 😅 The keyboard flex on Dell Inspiron laptops. The laptop had all I needed - oled touchscreen and all the ports including SD card slot. I almost got the laptop. The keyboard flex was so bad that you are not able to type even. The keycaps were rough to touch. I guess I have to give up my wish for an SD card slot (as a DSLR user) and get the 16" Spectre. 😃

The oled display being an emerald green when turned off is a deal breaker for me. An oled display should be pure black when off.
They took away micro sd car slot. Took away physical camera kill switch. Its like the macbook theat came with ine type c port long back. They should have pit a type c port on left side.. bought it december 2024..

I presume it is the same or better then l the newest yoga 9i 2 in 1 gen 9 2.8k 120hz , I returned the day after, the screen door effect aka moire effect like the good old days where still present on white and grey screens... 😢 On the 4k touch is this less disturbing... On the non touch versions this is not present. The only ones to get it right seems to be Samsung Amoled...

No sd card reader is a deal breaker. been a spectre consumer since 2018. Sad they did that. Guess I’ll be going 2024 Asus G14 OLED GTX 4060 or Slim Yoga Pro 9i
Slim Yoga Pro surprisingly does not have sd either.

Why are you comparing a 2-in-1 laptop with touch screen and pen support to a MacBook?
Also, using trackpad is 1 millions times slower than using a touch screen, pen, or even a mouse.
