Ted's the man. Always loved his music. To me Stranglehold is one of the most iconic rock songs ever.
Ted's the man. Always loved his music. To me Stranglehold is one of the most iconic rock songs ever....
and strippers dig it
American campfire 😂
Yes I agree 💯👍
Yes, it's powerful, classic jam !!!
Stormtroopers was the best.
Ted Nugent, Sammy Hagar and Vic Johnson just freaking great!!!
Awesome. 3 wild men 3 different guitars No practice GRAB A GRIND Outstanding vocals. This don't happen every day. Thanks for sharing.
Strangle hold is probably the best guitar solo I’ve literally ever heard!!!!!!! An a true classic, totally bad ass!!!!!
Plus it never will sound dated! The long version of Strangle Hold cruising down the interstate is the best.
Back in the mid 70s 4 of us got hold of a joint.....marijuana....country boys in southern Indiana...lol We go out to the city lake to smoke it. 2 of us were in the back seat lighting balled up Kleenex watching it burn..."Yeah, sometimes you wanna get higher....And sometimes you gotta start low" was on the 8-trac and we all at once go ..."WHOA" it was our first buzz...LOL
WELL I JUST LOST ALL RESPECT FOR OLD SAMMY 🙄🙄🙄🙄🤮🤮
Ted Nugent... THE LEGEND ! I bought a Cat Scratch Fever record at a Flip Side in Buffalo Grove, IL back around 1980 ? A voice behind me said... NICE CHOICE ! When I turned around, it was Ted Nugent himself ! 😂 I'll never forget that day ❤
Love Sammy and uncle Ted. Best rockers from 70’s
I have news for you friend, Sammy has hits in several decades, not just the 70's!
Ted and Sammy are truly great friends in real life.
I thought the 60`s amboy dukes
Ted " get the fuck" has me rolling, I'll be chuckling for days. best video I've seen yet this year
Brings back Awesome memories of early 80's Texxas Jam's At the Cotton Bowl, in Dallas!!! WWow the ENERGY! Ted and Sammy will Always be the best, in my books.
Yep. They'd be jamming way up in the light scaffolding above the stage. Great memories.
Huge fan of Sammy. And his wife ! Seen Ted in concert 3 times. Love you too. Glad to see y’all out having fun.
Wow, hated to see this one come to an end. I think I could have listened and watched y'all all night✅💯🇺🇸
my favorite Nugent tune is Great White Buffalo. I'm dam proud that Ted and I were raised in the once GREAT state of Michigan
What a great visit with two rock and roll legends, it was a good time had by all...thanks for letting the fans ride along and be a part of it.
Ted was flawless on his Adios Mofos Tour. Thanks for the content!
I love you Uncle Ted, this 56 year old blue collar man respects and thanks you for all your great music, charity work and many other things you do, as well as all your shows to our humble NW IN Co. Fair & Civic Auditorium in the past ❤️. My personal favorites of your songs are Stranglehold and Fred Bear. Hope you always keep up the good fight my older Brother. Wishes for the Best of health, and all that matters to you and your beautiful wife and family as well.
God bless ✌️😎👍
I love uncle Ted ,he is one of a kind
One of a kind Jack ass. 😂
Two of my favorites!! I was listening to these two back in the 80s. Great times.
You men have brought so much rock and roll to us that love it!!!
yeah.... embarrassment.
@@strider5453 That's what it says on your birth certificate.
I HAVE NEVER MET, NOR SEEN A CONCERT OF EITHER ONE OF YOU, BUT YOU BOTH WOULD BE A BLAST TO HANG OUT WITH! YOU BOTH ARE SO AWESOME!
Ted and Sammy need to do a show together. Just awesome .
Man thank you so much for this, it was a privilege to watch this.
This was one KILLER episode! You guys are incredible…legends of ROCK!!!
Definitely SO true!!!!
These guys are amazing musicians!!!
Seen both Sammy and Ted in concert at the IMA auditorium back in the mid 70’s!
Both are legends 👍🏻👍🏻
Flint IMA ?
@@bobc8649
Yes, what once was a great place for concerts.
@@wjb111
Yes ! I have a handful of concert tickets from 71-80 at the IMA. We almost always sat straight back from the stage second balcony with no one in front of us. Railing to kill Ckit3nhy your feet up on. Beer or booze was allowed as long as it was in a plastic container. Jugs of screwdrivers ! Lol !!! 3 bands played for as low as $5.00 tickets. The good ole days s !!!
Kick your feet up on.
I am with you! I have seen them both multiple times. I never did see Sammy with Van Halen. I only saw him as the Red Rocker.
Sammy's a pretty good sho with a bow. He seems to have some natural talent.
Sammy, this was one of the most fun episodes you've ever done!! Brett Michaels was awesome but this had way more energy!! Two 👍👍 up from me!! WOW!!
Still have my vinyl...Turn It Up Ted! Thanks to both of you for your music and all the other thngs you do :p
That was so awesome loved every minute. Thank you.
Seen them both! Wonderful shows. I do think my hearing suffered some after seeing Ted… 😂
That was very very good... great to see those guys in a non concert event... but always more fun seeing them on stage!
I wish the two would do an album!
Hell yeah!
TED NUGENT ACTUALLY DID A SHOW AT THE FAIR HERE IN HERMISTON OREGON BACK IN THE 90S!!! COULDN'T BELIEVE THEY ACTUALLY GOT HIM HERE!!! SANG THE GREAT WHITE BUFFALO SONG THERE!!!! EPIC.... UNCLE TED'S GREAT
Ted is always happy and full of energy.
This has to be my favorite rnr road trip ep. 2 of the best in the biz rockin out and mixin it up. Loved every minute.
Ted I've seen you six times...but holy mother of God that show at the TEXXAS JAM was incredible !!!!!! I was sure you were going to blow the back wall out of Texas Stadium !!!!!! You and Micheal Shenker weren't bad either in Oklahoma either . Sammy... you and your band ...VanHalen...Pat Benetar...The Dooble Brothers were Pure Magic at the first Rocklahoma!!!!!!! . Thanks to both you and Ted for all the killer music . PK
As a musician, hunter, outdoorsman, these are the two guys I'd love to meet, and just hang out,.....
Been a fan of both since the 70's,.....
I met Ted Nugent and his wife and son a long time ago when his son was just a baby, The Nuge did a short set at the local dragstrip where I worked at on weekends, they had funny car night, and jet cars i think. Anyhoo, the owner of the dragstrip knew Ted and he came out and played, Ted ran across the stage and shot a huge cutout of Saddam Hussein right between the eyes while in the air. I saw him play live several times as he would come here for a celebrity hunting trip that he and other big wigs would do for charity. I've met Ted and seen him live several times all right here in my home town that is not a big city, the whole county is about 100,000 people.
"Oh Hell Yeah!" Thanks for Sharing of my favorite Rock & Rollers of All Time! Thank you Ted, Sammy, and Vick Johnson is in the House!
I've enjoyed every segment I've seen Sammy do...this was THE BEST !
I met Ted Nugent , I got tickets to see you Sammy Hagar at Peoria Civic Center you were supposed to open up for ZZ TOP ,but you backed out at the last minute, so they got Krokus instead , I would loved to see you your music is awesome
Right 0n you Two . Thank you for the Tour :) QC
I love coming back to this one. It is one of the funnest episodes. Sammy and Ted. I remember a rumor before The Damn Yankees. It was about you and Ted getting together. I was so hyped on that. You both should really do an ALBUM. Im still hyped on the thought of it. Please please please... 🙏 Maybe now is the the time. ❤ I love ya both so much. Peace ✌️And thanks
Great Show Sammy, Love to You and Uncle Ted! 🙏❤️🇺🇸
Friggin EPIC!!! Everything I love - horsepower, shooting of any kind, great people, and goosebump-inducing music! I sure wish I could go back in time and live my life the way Ted has. I poisoned myself for DECADES, and boy do I feel it now. Been clean / sober almost 4 years now, but the damage is done. Love Ted, and love you, Sammy - THANKS!!! 👍😎👍
I CAN RELATE TO YOU MY BROTHER IVE BEEN SOBER NOW 4 YRS ❤ MY BLESSINGS TO CONTINUE YOUR JOURNEY OF SOBRIETY ENGAGE IN HOBBIES N NATURE LIFE IS BEUTIFUL
@@dagmonrabal7547 Thank you! Same back at ya!
Incredible. I was blessed to be able to be in Uncle Ted's living room while he jammed. Unbelievable experience.
Wow you legend!!!
This is more than awesome. "Double Live Gonzo" was like the 3rd or 4th vinyl album I ever bought as a kid. Sammy's Standing Hampton was a huge influence on me, and then Sammy killed it with VH. As everyone is saying, absolute legends. I would be on 'cloud 9' just to meet these guys.
This was the best ever! And I'm not even a huge Ted fan! I'm more a fan of Ted for what he stands for than his music but wouldn't turn off the radio if he's playing. Two legends! Just awesome!
Uncle Theodore is the Greatest!!
I love that Ted mentions Johnny B, Mitch and the others from the early Detroit music scene. I was there and saw them all. Hell, I saw Ted play Aquinas High School in Southgate, Mi.
That whole Detroit scene is what influenced him. I saw Ted in 1977, at the Superbowl of Rock at Soldier Field. It was great.
Nothing like some super stars with your morning coffee. Well done Sammy. I've seen Ted twice in concert, once in Springfield Illinois and once in Quincy Illinois. Those were the days. We we're young wild and free. Thank you guys for the memories ❤️.
Hope this finds you well and happy 😊.
Peace 🙏
THANK YOU! 😮
TED - REMEMBERING GERMANY IN THE 70's On A Mountain Top - "Cat Scratch Fever" You Rocked That Mountain Top! 🤪 Sammy Your The Man ❤
Ted is a KING omg 😎 Thanks, Sam. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
That would have been so cool to hear in person!
One of the rock stations in my area broadcast a Sammy Hagar classic rock show that on every Saturday night and I never miss it.
AWESOME.... ""GOOSE BUMPS"" TWO of the GREATEST LEGENDS EVER!!!!!
Loved Uncle Ted in Damn Yankees too, awesome band with Tommy Shaw, Jack Blades and Michael Catelone. I still think his guitar solo in "Come Again" is one of his very best.
Ted Nugent was my first concert when I was 15 yrs old. My mom made my sister take me with her. I had never been to a concert except for a Donney Osmond. Lol.. Ted was on stage dressed like a indian with not much covered up . My reaction probably looked something like this 😲 lol.. all I could do was look around at the people around me and watch Ted. Lol . Well then little sister grew up and and loved listening to rock and roll and going to concerts. Then in the early 80's I was in my early 20's saw him and Sammy again at the Texas Jam. Still remember what he said about Texas having best rabbit hunting and about the best women. Im not going to repeat it. Word for word Ted is blunt and don't hold back on words. Lol. I still have that ticket stub. I loved both of their music. I liked watching this video with the two of them. Brought back alot of memories from that time for me. The good ole times and and rock n roll still enjoying listening🎧 to their music ❤️ I give Ted the credit for introducing rock n roll to me. In my 60's now and still listening. We had the best music growing up thanks to these two guys and other musicians.
My guitar HERO ,TED IS 100% every tour ❤🎧🎸🧡
Been a fan of these guys since Montrose.
This was AWESOME❗️❗️❗️🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸😎
Awesome to see 2 legends have fun together like they're teenagers again. In recent times we're seeing alot of rock legends pass away or struggling with debilitating health problems. Combined with all the woke rhetoric lately, its refreshing to see you guys hangout and jam with zero give a F'cks in the free world. Thanks for posting
Was it "woke" when Uncle Ted was having sex with children and shitting his pants to avoid that draft? Is it that kind of woke?
I saw Ted perform live in Portland Oregon/1981 with Sammy as the opener.
As a outdoorsman I love Ted Nugent and his song Fred Bear.
As a rock music fan Strangehold and Cat Scratch Fever are my favorites. But I would still place Fred Bear as my favorite song, it comes from his heart and tells a great story.
Sam or Dave? I knew that was coming. 😂 Great jam at the end there Sammy. 🎸👍
Great Jam... Loved It!
Both lived their best lives and still are.🎸😎
Sending Love to Uncle Ted!! O-yeah!! And Sammy and Vic too!! Get down with the Red Rocker - Yes.....
Ted and Sammy are Real National Treasures !
1968 I saw the Amboy Dukes at Utica high school Wednesday night teen club , the dude worked his way up that’s for sure !
I always loved when Sammy and Ted would jam with each other at the Texxas Jams, back in the day.
Love these guys!
ok, these two need to start a band............it would be amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Badass! Just came across this channel. Hooked
Two true AMERICANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
True Rock legends, they still got it.
Freaking AWESOME!!! Tio Ted!!!
Ted Nugent is my favorite hands down!!
Beautiful ❤ .. two of my favs
There are many fast players besides Eddie, but there is one who plays with Eddie’s absolutely natural intensity. That dude, uncle Ted, has a high dose of James Brown in him. Damn Yankee !
The Nuge & Sammy Big Time ! Love
Y’all are so cool! Always a fan of you guys! ♥️🌟🌟👋
Thank you ! Been a fan of you both for as long as I can remember - have seen you both in concert more than a couple of times - it was awesome to see this "interview" God bless you both !
Ted and Sam look great. I'm almost as old and they give me hope. Some exercise here. A few fewer beers there. That's got it!
74 and 75 years old. Amazing...
God bless you Ted & Sammy you Rock it.
Motor City MadMan and the Red Rocker!!! Classic Rock Royalty!!!
I absolutely love this. Ted and Sammy having a jam session together and they sound incredible. Ted should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for Stranglehold alone.
So dang GOOD to see two of my VERY BEST all-time favorites lovin’ on each other and jammin’ together!
FANFREAKINTASTIC Sammy & Ted! Thanks so much for this episode Sammy!
By the way, my answer to that last question is EXACTLY the same as Ted’s. I love Roth as an early Van Halen front man, but IT AIN’T EVEN CLOSE when Sammy Hagar was brought into the mix. The Hagar/Halen collaboration brought a musical maturity to Van Halen that reached down into my soul and moved me to the dad-gum core!! Roth was FUN but fun is superficial compared to the depth of the music Hagar/Halen produced, and that FACT is reflected in the numbers-the record sales.
And Sammy, your stage presence and performance as a lead vocalist is second to none! You may just be the coolest, best front man in Rockdom. Worldclass buddy! Thanks for all you’ve brought to the stage for your fans thru the decades. I can’t even begin to imagine the world of Rock ‘n’ Roll without you and the music that came to us thru you. Much gratefulness here…
Ted Nugent wearing CROCS. 😆😬😳
chuck berry riffs came in handy🎸
Love Uncle Ted, Guns, Guitars, and God Bless America!
Sammy can't DRIVE 55! These guys are just awesome! Old school rock & roll! Who wouldn't have a great time hanging out with the "motor city madman" yeee haww!
Every person that watched history in the making, called this video, is a better person now. Thank you Sammy and Ted! ❤
Bet we all wish we had an Uncle Ted.
My uncles were close. The Fastest Gun in the Carolinas was one.....😢 RIP
A couple of Snakeskin Rock -n- Roll. COWBOY ' S , JUST WONDERFUL ! PATRIOTS, USA. # 1 .
Love both of these guys but growing up in the Michigan area, when Ted mentions Jim McCarty along with Mitch Ryder was awesome too hear Jm playing with mitch and the rockets all great music from the early days ty
I used to see Ted at the Jackson Armory back in the early Sixties. He did some crazy shit!
Outstanding!!!
I'm gutted! Uncle Ted in Crocs!
Uncle Theodore! This is some great activity!!!!!!!
Ted with his gift of gab is just the guy we need for President to straighten out this country
Sammy knows Ted should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
I have seen Ted 8 times over the years I never saw a bad show I’m saddened that I didn’t get to see Sammy because he’s a true rocker from his beginnings with Ronnie Montrose !! Ted is an awesome guitarist who has been black balled because he wouldn’t fall in with the tow the line gaggle !! Keep on Rocking you 2 it still sounds great !!!
