Thank you being honest and raw. I hate how people think nursing is so perfect and glamorous. It’s a hard freaking job and there’s way too many shifts spent crying due to stress and being overwhelmed. Thank you for all your hard work!!

People don't talk about how difficult nursing can be. I would leave my med surge floor in physical pain. My feet and back would hurt so bad from standing up all night. I applaud you for your hard work. 👏🏾

im 18 and ive decided that i wanted to be a travel nurse and after seeing this video and how realistic it is, i was kind of reconsidering but then i said to myself i can do it as long as i keep God with me. and also seeing you crying, taking a breather but getting back up and doing what you need to do motivates me not even me studying to be a nurse but other aspects in life. i just wanna thank you for giving such a realistic view on it because i know its not easy at all & it can really effect your mental health if you arent doing self care.

I’m a student nurse and travel nurses are the most talented nurses and the friendliest people. Great video on how nursing actually is. I haven’t seen a video so realistic as this.

It hit me when you said nobody complains to anyone but ourselves. I realized that while working at one hospital when they tried giving me an admission even though I already had an active rapid, TWO chemos running, two AMS, etc. I said No. Manager said I could leave but said if I did she threatened to have me arrested for abandonment. I put in my notice after that shift and didn’t look back. Burnout is REAL.

I remember when I first started as a nurse, 6-7patients, no CNAs on the floor whatsoever, critically ill patients, no secretary, I don’t know how I survived. But it made it through and really learned how to be a nurse QUICK

I'm with ya gal. I put in 32 years as an RN, with 4 years as a travel nurse working in the O.R. and various ICUs in Maine and Texas. Tough, tough job even under the best of circumstances. You're awesome and I hope your future shines brightly.

That’s how you know that you had a rough night. When you look at yourself after your shift, like “dang, my wig has been looking crazy like this all night?” Lol

As a nurse, I felt this. The struggle is real and rampant in many nursing settings. Change will only come when the patients/residents/clients advocate for and demand it. The healthcare industry is a scam and doesn’t give a damn. Those of us that are natural nurturers and caregivers get sucked into this field only to find that it is not as advertised lol

Just got into nursing school and have ALWAYS been looking for a very in depth look at a day in the life. Most of them show them getting ready, and then leaving the hospital and I’m like “this doesn’t help me at all”but this? Shows EVERYTHING! I love this video. Definitely subscribed 😊😊

Yo I have so much respect for her. She is right, this shit is hard and we will always be super unappreciative. I’m glad she stepped away because this shit is true. They treat nurses like that and this not right... change is needed. No one should have to stress that much and then come back the next day and pretend everything is cool. It’s unreal...

Like I tell my kids “crying is therapeutic, it cleanses the soul” 💜 As a Social Worker , I understand how real burnout is 😔 and how serious the need for understanding self care is 💞 I command you on your genuine love for your patient’s ... you rock 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thank you for such an accurate depiction of nursing today. More nurses are getting so burned out so much faster because of the issues that you mentioned. I’ve been ER nursing for 6.5 years and have already left my full time job at bedside for another career. I still work PRN, but a lot of issues you highlighted are true for many places. I had to learn that healthcare at the end of the day is a business, and you are replaceable - so you have to take care of yourself first.

I really appreciated you having that moment in the bathroom where you just had to cry it out for a minute. There’s been times I be so frustrated at work because the nurse to patient ratio is so out of control and I have to have a little vent/cry session in the med room because it’s so dang overwhelming. Thank you for showing how it really is in nursing. You are awesome ❤️

I just got to the end and girllllllll I just cried with you, I worked as a CNA on a IMCU tele floor IT WAS HORRIBLE. Like I have 21 patients in one night bad 🙂 it’s all about the money. I almost gave up on my dream because it’s like do I want to be apart of this scam. But honestly you touch lives as a nurse and I do think we can make a difference in our little way. You are a DAMN GREAT nurse. I would’ve loveeeedd to work with you. I’m taking notes 😇

This is the best representation of how night shift goes . People assume the patients are asleep all night but really we are running around more than people think. I work in the neuro icu and even I would have been like what the heck with that patient And multiple other patients. Thank you for normalizing crying it out ! Keep pushing !!!!

Girl, when you started crying I cried with you. It’s tough out here for us nurses.
