Let me just say this...I stumbled across you channel when I was getting "click happy" adding nursing/healthcare videos to my Watch Later playlist. And I have been FICKIN obsessed. Quick background: I actually went to college in 2015 on a full scholarship, and girl! but 2018 I was literally at one of my lowest points. I was so depressed, and I couldn't even figure out why. I left school at the end of 2018, and I struggled mentally for years to get to the root of my issues and regain my focus, motivation, and confidence. This past December I finally got the push in the right direction I needed. I began taking some of the pre-reqs I needed for a local ADN program and retaking some of my sciences that had "expired." Honestly, it was hard for me to be happy about being in school again because my goals felt so far away. Now, I am at the doorstep of this program. I've maintained a 4.0 since re-entering school. I take my TEAS test in FOUR days, and my nursing packet is due next month! Now, I am starting to become excited. I said all of that to say, watching your channel has really helped to the remain focus and give me that gentle reminder that everything I've been through and all of this hard work WILL PAY OFF. Sometimes, I get discouraged that I got so off course, but I have to keep reminding myself that I'm still in my early 20s and that each of my mistakes and "failures" have made me that much more ready to and willing to work for and appreciate that blessings that are coming. Thank you for the motivation and encouragement. KEEP IT UP! Sharing your journey means a lot to us who are aspiring to get there!!

Currently a third-semester nursing student in my BSN program, I agree to stay focused while you are in the program. Ignore the boys (they will be the least priority and they need to accommodate your busy schedule!) and hang out with friends when you are on school break. I am also living with my family to save money, it is crazily expensive living in the Bay Area. No shame in that!! Plus my mom would prep my lunch for me when I have clinical the next day =p.
I’m glad you receiving your BSN. Many hospitals like mine shun from hiring RN without BSN. I’m at a trauma 1 hospital in large city and despite having a shortage they refuse to hire RN without BSN. Things changed so much as I went to a university and majored in BSN over 25 years ago. I gone back for more schooling include receiving my MSN, DNP and DNAP First 10 years I was a RN, 9 years Nurse Practitioner (still hold my license and use it) and now I’m now a CRNA for past 7 years. Just remember to follow your path and not what others expect. I would’ve done things much different with less schooling. I was fortunately hospital had great tuition reimbursement but I missed out so much on life. Married 17 years and we don’t have any kids which my hubby doesn’t care. The past few years I think about not having kids because my career and education was much more important. A decision I 100% regret today. Enjoy life and don’t allow others to carve your life of what they think you should become. Good luck to you and I will subscribe and follow your beautiful journey.

I was fortunately hospital had great tuition reimbursement but I missed out so much on life. Married 17 years and we don’t have any kids which my hubby doesn’t care. The past few years I think about not having kids because my career and education was much more important. A decision I 100% regret today.
