I work as a surgical technologist in the OR at Vanderbilt University Hospital. I can tell you that what this young lady is stating, is the truth, as far as the money is concerned. Even my job has very high potential pay, if I decided to travel. 2500 to 3500 on average, but in some cases, I've seen as high as 5000 a week. RNs do much better on average and I have spoken to many of our travel nurses and they have confirmed. They even passed a federal travel nurse salary cap recently and they can still earn up a little over 8000 a week. I can't think of any other profession, where you can earn this much money, for the amount of education that is required. It truly is the best bang for your buck you can get right now. It's really a great time for certain medical professions.
You can do 13 week assignments, take a vacation almost every 3 months and still make over six figures, easily. A good portion of your pay is your tax-free stipend, which is incredible.

Where I work there’s 3 Travel Nurses who have been there for 6 months. They are so nice and treated very well. The floor were on they get no more than 4 patients. If a Nurse has no patients they get to sit at the desk and help out anyone. I like my unit Labor and delivery and post partum.

You have to do at least 2 years of of community college. These are called pre requisites essentially. Then you have to do very good on the T’s test which is basically the enter exam for nursing school. There are nursing schools that have you do your pre requisites in them. But it’s double the work in an already very challenging field.

It depends on the hospital. I been at a local hospital since October and we can wear whatever color. Their own staff wears whatever color as well and like long sleeve shirts
Some places might want you to wear certain color like royal blue or a lot of travelers wear black
Say if you have to buy new scrubs sometimes you can get reimbursed

after covid and the great resignation of nurses I first thought that it would be a chance for nurses to get paid more or enjoy other perks, but guess what the Netherlands did... they closed beds all over hopitals and are talking about stopping some medical care altogether (treatments that dont have a clear prognosis). 🙄

I think nurses are making so much noise about how much they make. I hope they government doesn’t begin to look into our income.

They already have started. A lot of these agencies are being investigated for it. I wish nurses would just shut the hell up, so we can continue to make this money!

No absolutely not...RNs rarely deal with that. CNAs or nurse assistants are the ones that do cleaning, bathing, changing patients.
