You will go crazy. There are something we do at work that we actually dread. So being a little
Crazy and having fun makes the job not seam as bad. Plus it makes it go by much faster. I have been a custodian for over 23 years. The purpose of this channel is to share some of my knowledge with you. I remember the feeling when I first became a custodian. I was given a set of keys, a radio and a badge. Didn't get any training whatsoever. Being a custodian is not rocket scientist knowledge. There are definitely things that a custodian needs to know. I call it the art of the trade. Tips and tricks that can make the job much easier and enjoyable. Contact me: mrjeffcustodian@gmail.com

When I first started as a custodian I heard a similar line. You don't have to be crazy to work here, we'll train you.
Started as 40hr week substitute in elementary school in March. Full time opportunity is about to happen for the high school. Loving it so far.
Love your videos
Oh my!!! I didn't realize you had to do that! I used to be a custodian at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro TN. Summer time was the WORST! I hated cleaning the dorms! We usually worked a lot of overtime on weekends! Yuck. God Bless you and everyone who has to work at a college!!!
1/4 mile fun run across campus with a cart on the most uneven ground imaginable.
I also work at a college y'all should have a cart in every building it's more convenient 😜
All custodians come me together as a team. For dorms in summer. Closet is a cracker box.
I love watching your videos I get so many ideas on running my building from your videos they truly help out. I got a lot of years left in my district so it's nice to have this stuff around. Definitely looking forward to summer.
Leave the crazy at the door lol
I love watching all of your videos
At the 2 minute mark, I would’ve filled a couple empty 1 gallon jugs instead of a big bucket like that. Wouldn’t have splashed back.
I have to clean tables at a student dinning hall up here in Oregon sometimes I take out the trash 🗑 when the trashcans are full I also get to vacuum the managers office on Saturdays
I’m in Oregon too actually
There we go, my favorite saying. The five minutes saying. Love it.
Always look forward to a new video Jeff. Keep up the good work!
Keep up the videos.Like them as I’m a Custodian also.

What have y'all been cleaning again?...😂
DORMS!
Hello Jeff! Love your videos. I watched a video of yours that said you were never a paid head or lead, I'm just wondering why? You seem like a great worker and leader. Also, do you like the school district or college more? What are the pros and cons? I've been a custodian for 11 years and love my job, I tell people it and they think I'm crazy! My district pays excellent and the benefits are great, not to mention the low stress.
When I worked in the school system I was ask to move schools to be a lead. There was a guy there that was trouble and lazy. I said as long as he was there I would not take the job. So never have had the opportunity again. School was really hard day in and day out. I got burned out really. I do miss the kids and my coworkers. The collage is great much easier on my body. Now it does have some really hard times. The last 3 weeks have been pretty tuff. What is so awesome about where I work now. As long as my job is being done. They never bother us unless there is some extra stuff that comes up. Even at that they tell us when it needs to be completed. We get on it and get it done. They trust us enough to get it done and done right. That’s is awesome! The downside for me. It can get pretty monotonous and lonely at times when students are there especially in the winter. Other than that it all good.
How are you guys dealing with difficult people with a job like this?
Got any openings? I'd move down there and work with ya
Actually there maybe some coming up. I know we got one retiring around Christmas. Plus we have a new building opening about 10 miles away.
@@mrjeffthecustodian Awesome! I'll keep my eyes out. Have a great day!
What brand of war paint do you recommend before battle?
I just spear mud on my face.
@@mrjeffthecustodian hopefully that's mud
Im looking to buy a floor machine and im deciding between a clarke and tennent nobles. which one is the better machine?
I’ve had both. Clark seems to be built more solid.
@@mrjeffthecustodian I'm stuck between an nss floor machine and a clarke floor machine. Which one would you recommend
I’m more familiar with the Clark. Always had good luck with them.
@@mrjeffthecustodian Thank You
