I consume ghee almost everyday. It's truly truly beneficial. And it's a misconception that by consuming ghee one would gain weight. No extreme practice could be beneficial. So a spoonfull of ghee is good.

    The health benefits of ghee:
    1. It doesn’t stimulate insulin
    2. It has lutein (it’s good for your eyes)
    3. It decreases your appetite and helps you fast longer
    4. It contains important fat-soluble vitamins
    5. It is more easily digested than other fats
    6. It contains MCT fats (which are used as energy and are easily digested)
    7. It has short-chain fatty acids (which are good for gut health)
    8. It has CLA (it’s anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergy)

      Nutritional value of Ghee:
      Ghee is purely fat.
1 tablespoon of ghee contains: Calories: 130. Protein: 0 grams.
But traces of proteins may be left over in the ghee if milk solids (whey) are not completely removed in the clarification process.
Ghee, a clarified form of butter, is rich in healthy fats that can enhance the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins in milk, aiding in better nutrient utilization. This concoction can be calorie-dense, making it beneficial for weight gain and muscle building.

I am from Haryana and we make ghee on our own most of the time. And as our elders say, we eat ghee daily by applying on chapati and 1 tbsp in dal or whatever curry we are having in the morning. In winter, there is a culture in Haryana, to make ladoos from gram flour or Khoa or dried gum, and these are very tasty and healthy for us.

Hi great information on the ghee, I never new that ghee was much healthier amen 🙏. What I would like to know is this. Can I take a tea spoon of ghee first thing in the morning on an empty stomach? or before I go to bed? I am 68 years old, and always like to be healthy, eating according to my age. At the age of 25 I adopted the habit of changing my way of eating every year. My date of birth is 31/12/1953, and I have been doing that up to this day, now am 68 and I thank God for keeping me with great health since we were created to his image and likeness, and that our bodies belongs to him, why can we be healthy?, since he has created all things to be healthy amen amen 🙏

Yes if our nose, mouth and throat r too dry due to inflammation and infection then eating ghee by mouth and putting ghee in nostrils is very moisturising and lubricating for dry nose, mouth, throat and ears. I have started putting ghee in nose morning and evening. And also taking ghee orally with honey. I take in breakfast with roti and sugar, gur or honey. Its overall delicious I love this combination.

While ghee has long been considered a staple in many diets, it's crucial to recognize that not all ghee is created equal. Modern ghee production often involves cows subjected to hormones, confined living conditions, and unethical practices, which can significantly impact the nutritional value and ethicality of the product. Studies show that ghee from industrial dairy farms can have elevated levels of harmful trans fats, which may contribute to heart diseases, cancers and inflammation.
On the flip side, traditionally made ghee-from cows that are hormone-free, grass-fed, and treated like part of the family-can be much healthier. Such ghee is richer in omega-3 fatty acids and CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), which have anti-inflammatory properties. However, finding truly ethical, hormone-free ghee in today’s market is very rare and expensive. So, while ghee can be healthy, it’s important to question where your ghee comes from. Simply put, the ghee of today isn’t the same as the ghee from your grandmother's time.
When we mass-produce dairy, not only do we compromise on health, but we also contribute to environmental degradation. Industrial dairy is a major contributor to greenhouse gases, and it takes significant resources to produce. So, while ghee may have traditional roots, it’s crucial to understand the sustainability angle in today’s world. Choosing plant-based alternatives can help reduce both health risks and the environmental footprint! 🌍

if possible, then please let us know if Ayurveda recommends using ghee in place of cooking oils or during tadka or chhonk? Some new-age nutritionists advise not to use ghee for tadka or chhonk or as a cooking oil
substitute as the potency of ghee diminishes while re-heating it during the aforementioned processes. Please shed some light on this and clear up the confusion. Thanks 🙏

Agree to everything about Ghee except for mixing ghee with sweets and carb. Don't do it, mixing it with a high carb food is fastest way to get fat..

Some say that ghee must be strictly avoided when one has Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn's. But I hear otherwise in the video. Could you please guide me here? Which one of this is the correct fact?

I suffer from Ulcerative colitis and was told if you eat one spoon of ghee at night it will keep your crohn clean because nothing sticks there
