    Oh my gosh thank you for this. It’s definitely overwhelming with all the information and the ratios of what to feed and the supplements. My dog was diagnosed with two different types of cancer and having a hard time finding a recipe for low histamine diets that I can feed him.

      @@clarenceyee3529 Yes, and back then they were receiving their complete nutrition from eating whole prey. As this series has brought to light, kibble has only been around for the past 100 years or so. And health issues are now more prevalent than ever due to these foods being so highly processed. And again, every dog has different health needs, which is why you should not just wing it. This could easily result in a nutrient deficiency. So yes, when making a homemade diet you should be confronting professionals in the field.

      Only food science can pervert nutrition moreover profit from it.

    ONLY 96 board-certified of y'all????? Geeez. That's frustrating. The bottom line of this video is that if you can afford it, you should hire a board-certified nutritionist-and not to go with what you read on the internet without contacting a nutritionist 1st. So basically-common sense

      Nobody should pay a "nutrition specialist" who has been trained with the conflict of interest agenda of the American Veterinary Medical Association which is in bed with big pet food corporations and big Pharma. We don't need to pay a specialist to tell us that dogs need Hills Science Diet. And, for formulating home cooked meals, I would bet a lot of money that she thinks that dogs need a high grain diet.
      Concerning obesity in dogs, the main cause of that is desexing. That fact is brushed under the rug by these nutrition "experts".

    A raw diet isn’t rocket science 🙄 There’s BARF to start & others that are similar. As long as the nutritional requirements are met within a week, your pet is much better off than just eating kibble. You don’t have to be perfect to improve your pets health. There is valuable information right here on TH-cam. We don’t need a specialized doctor to formulate a diet for our pets. These people should be charging other veterinarians how to advise their clients, not charging individual pet parents. We’re capable of doing our own research & improving our pets diet.

    • @treasuretrovel3816
      @treasuretrovel3816 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Agreed! Nobody needs to pay a "specialist" who will formulate a diet that mimics the macro nutrients of kibble (mainly carb-- Certainly the certification for veterinary nutritionist is all about mimicking kibble and preaches against raw and any common sense, natural feeding. All us raw feeders know this as we are treated with disdain by our veterinarians who try to convince us that our vibrantly healthy dogs have a Hill's Science Diet deficiency). Nobody with common sense needs to pay for a "veterinary nutritionist specialist" to get lectured about how dogs need grain.

    When I see stuff like this as much as Mercola informs us - this marketing crap is a huge reason I could care less they took him down from youtube. IT'S ANNOYING to put tons of mis-titled videos that portend to promise you'll get good cat dog food recipes/alternatives, but you just get these twits blah blah blahing stroking among themselves to hire them. I already did once, many years ago, and SHE WAS USELESS when it came to specifics. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

    Your making it too complicated for most people it doesn’t need to be balanced all the time after all we don’t eat a completely balance meal every day and most animals that are wild are getting what they can find and seem to be healthy

    Dissapointing to hear this expert who gives guidance, is feeding a 50/50 killer-kibble/fresh!.
    I am 100% fresh, kibble is nutrition abuse.
    I understand the average dog owner benefits from 50/50 rather than 100% kibble, but commo'n, this lady is a full expert pet parent, a Dr!! Drop the kibble lady, and practice what you preach, anf be that example of a true caring pet parent.

      Its like saying running your car on gasoline is great, but tar is bad. She then goes out and adds 50/50 Tar/gasoline, its silly and needs calling out.

    The board certification for veterinary nutrition is focused on big brand kibble as the gold standard when in fact that is illogical and serves corporate greed and not dog health. Not saying the featured nutritionist in this video did not evolve past that level but we don't know from this discussion.
    I don't recommend this video as it is just general conversation about how "all dogs are different" and other non-informative chatter.
