I'm actually considering this for PC gaming. As I don't own any modern consoles, only old ones. As the C4 OLED would be a massive upgrade over my C2 OLED because of the 144Hz native panel. As unlike a monitor which are designed to allow panel overclocking, I don't dare trying that on a TV that cost me $2600. I'm also considering a 34" Ultra Wide 1440p QD-OLED from MSI with outside of a cheaper price, the on paper specs are identical to the OG 3440x1440@175Hz Alienware AW3423DW. Then again, I just found out the Alienware is no longer over $1000. It's now $899, so I might get it instead. As just because the MSI has identical on paper specs, doesn't mean it has identical performance regarding PQ.

That laggy menu is also present in the G4! It freaks me out…. I have a C4 42” coming tomorrow so I can see them side by side

@@rohailhussain486 I kept the G4. However, if you google, "LG G4 HDMI input 2 issue". Some people have been having issues... something about strange artifacts or not displaying anything..
Just got the C4. There is a considerable amount of lag when navigating the menu. Way more noticeable than my C3. Hopefully this gets resolved with a future update.
Yes, that is my main complain too, its so laggy when going thru the menu and settings.

I just bought the LG C3 42 for 1200$ CAD something like 850$ USD what a deal what a tv. I also have the C1 55 inch and they are both stellar. The sharpness on a 42 inch set is unbelievable. I hope with new tech in the future we can get the same sharpness in the future. Awesome review.
Just get a c1 if you see one you don't need an apple 20 and lg 70 a Samsung 9000 you can still pay less for good tvs or ones you can afford you don't need to break a leg to watch tv.

Hey, was wondering about the lights behind your TV, they appeared to flicker when at yellowish or orangish hues. I wasn't even aware those types of lights did flicker. Lol
Yes I noticed hehe, they are the philips hue bars, the camera produces that flickering, its annoying, you don't see it in person.
I have the LG CX from 2020…should I consider upgrading to this or wait until the C5?
Whait to c5. 5 years apart is a good time frame to upgrade a TV.
Hell no CX is still a good enough TV not worth upgrading until ur cx breaks!
Everything after the CX is diminishing returns. Only get this if you need a smaller size.
I saw your 32 inch monitor, I think it's a neo G8, am I right? I also have one... how does the C4 compare to the neo G8 in terms of brightness?
Yes the G8, well the C4 looks brighter for sure, I like the G8 but I still prefer the glossy screen from C4.

Even if you have C9 or CX no need to upgrade unless you are getting G3/G4 as there almost no difference except little bit brightness which don’t make much in real life. Better to get Samsung S90C for same less price but G3 level brightness and features.

i just got the c4 in 42 inch. if u r warry of burn in buy the c3 or g3.. my c4 doesnt have the sceeensaver anymore. i listen to music via usb stick. i have also the c1 now old as hell. when using usb drives for music the firework screensaver kicks in within 2 minutes ( for the c1 ) lg disabled the screensaver on the c4 and g4. idk why they would do that. its making me nervous about burn in

Can someone explain what HDMI deep color is for? Can you test the TV with Deep color turned off, i think thats why the tv is slow and laggy, having deep color turned on significantly increases the workload on the processor.
I explained in the video, is to get all the gaming features and 4k/120hz working.

I had a choice between the C3 and C4, I went with the C3 and saved $600, the 144hz is not worth the extra money.
i play competitive esports games, the 144hz was worth it for me.
Yeah, between 120hz and 144hz is not a significant difference, now if it was 240hz then it would be much better.
LGC4 is also alot brighter and has a better processor.
@@5ean5ean22 still not a $600 difference for me. Also you said a-lot brother, the C3 gets over 700 nits which is plenty bright for me as I use my C3 as a monitor. The C4 is only 100nits or less brighter, not that big of a different.

No not at all, maybe they have wrong settings.
What is better, C4 48inch or LG 48 Inch UltraGear?
The monitor has display port and probably higher refresh rate that is probably the advantage, the C4 TV has smart features, glossy screen, so it depends what you need it for, gaming or movies.

I heard the C1 can be optimized for 240hz for gaming.
Nonsense I'm afraid, you can't "optimise" beyond what the display is capable of. It's 120hz, this one is 144hz (with an overclock).

This TV is not fast and responsive. I don’t know what you’re talking about. This TV is not for competitive gaming. This is one of the worst TV. You can pick up for gaming when you’re playing call of duty. You can’t even see your enemies and you’re gonna get gun down most of the time and other games is so dark you can’t even play it. And the picture quality is so garbage. I can’t even lie so I don’t know what you’re talking about. I think they’re paying you to make this video.
@tevinallen5707 You probably have the wrong settings, I play warzone every single day and I can clearly see everything, even others ask me how am i able to see others from far, so check your settings, I have videos with the settings I use.
@@JoelsterG4k As a competitive Warzone player and rank player this TV is not good for competitive. I will shoot my opponent first and they will still get the kill even when I put all my clip into them once you put the TV into Game Optimizer it become blurry and hard to see and very dark all my settings are good
@tevinallen5707 If you are a competitive gamer then you should be using a gaming monitor with high refresh rate not a TV. These TVs are great for console gaming but since you say you are a competitive gamer ranked I assume you play on PC then a monitor is the best option.
@@JoelsterG4k I switch back to my monitor for competitive but the issue is your fast advertising and you can have the highest refresh rate and get slammed by a lower refresh rate you're forgetting response time play a big key in competitive and this TV is not good for console
QD OLEDS are simply better.

@@JQM2020 Yes, correct. 55, 65, and 77 at the moment for QD Oleds. I have a 77 inch QD and it is glorious.
