You made me smile as your master board came together, it looked so pretty, and I am very inspired to go play, but I must sleep otherwise I'll be a mess tomorrow.
Im definitely using up my glue sticks that were lost and forgotten since I found you. When I smoosh the credit card over the glued image, I pretend I’m you!!
Never seen anyone do a washi tape master board. Fabulous idea. Now you have me a good reason to buy more tape. Ha ha..only bought a few packages at Dollar store or Tuesday Morning store, which is a ( discount brand name store)in the United States couple years ago. I watch for Tim Holtz craft items.
I watched this several months ago but watched Gayle this morning was reminded of this fave!! So inspiring! You're such a joy to watch! Thank you for inspiring me!!
I played the game "Where will Ceri stick that" during the silent piece of the video. I was right only about 60% of the time. Usually I run a lot higher than that! Now to pull out my horde of Washi and get gluing!
Am I ever glad I stumbled across your video. I have an entire shoebox of lovely Washi tape just sitting, but not after watching this video. Tomorrow I will be making Washi masterboards with great enjoyment. Thank you so much! I have subscribed and am now going to check out your Etsy store.
Thank you, I always try to think outside the box or push products in new directions. Have fun with this, I know you will and don’t forget you can combine it with stamping.
Ceri, this was gorgeous ! If this was a paper pad I would buy a ton of it. Really never thought about using washi..:) going thru all your mass making videos and have learned so much. I like hearing you talk ! Your witty. :) hugs
This is a great idea for something to do when you don’t feel like getting a lot of papers out or only have a limited time to craft. Also, you could do it to quickly build up some pieces for your ephemera pile and use up washi that only have a little left on the role. Thanks for the tutorial. : )
Hello Ceri. Lovely ephemera. Thank you for sharing! I have made two washi tape masterboards after watching this fantastic video. Take good care of your talented self. 🌽Corn
Oh so so clever. I have a wonderful purpose for all my Washi tape. I love to buy it because it is so beautiful non I feel very happy to put it to such great use. Thanks again
🔆Absolutely brilliant idea!!! I would never had come up with using washi like that on my own. The tags and cards are beautiful. I also LOVE the plastic card idea for a corner template - awesome!!!🔆
Master boards/serendipity boards/spreads are great fun for I use papers, paints, spreads, stamps of all kinds. For card backgrounds such as thank you or birthday, it comes to gather quickly. The Washi Tape Shop has fabulous ones.
Just stumbled across this today and I thought "great, something to justify my guilty pleasure of buying washi tape"! I found that although you say you don't think much about what you do exactly, you obviously have a system in your system 🙂. Because somehow, I ended up with lots of little awkward places which still needed covering. I also saw that obviously, I don't have enough wide washi. In the end, I was quite pleased with my A4 page, which is going to be cut up into card fronts and some smaller bits and pieces (I'm not a journal person, but your ideas and techniques work well for me). I have to say that I never really saw the possibilities of Washi as you are working with it, the sheerness of it has often aggravated me rather than making me happy, that changed tonight!
Stefanie, I do collect a variation in widths and it does help. I don’t knowingly have a system however because I’m a bit OCD my brain automatically sorts things into an order without me knowing. I use master boards for so many things and yes card toppers is one of them.
Hi there Ceri. I saw your name passing by at Gayles and am I glad that I checked your out your channel. I love how you made good use of your washies. Tfs. ❤
I love this idea! I recently found your TH-cam channel and have subscribed and watched many of your videos. This master board and the resulting ephemera, like all of your projects are absolutely beautiful. You are a joy and inspiration to watch. Keep these great videos coming! I’m going to have to try my hand at this, and many of your other projects.
Beautiful Ceri! Great bang for your buck! I did my first collaged master boards only a couple of months ago. I am not great at being random, so I was nervous to try! They turned out beautifully and I loved the surprise when cutting them up! You have inspired me to have another go at it! Take good care and Happy New Year 🎉 Laurel 💖🇨🇦
Hello from Oregon. I stopped by to check out your video and I really liked the tags and journaling cards you designed with your washing tap. FYI, I watched a video of a lady using a small piece of scotch tape added on the edges of PET tapes and washing tapes that had a backing that needed removed. Thought I'd pass a great tip along. Thanks for sharing!
What an enjoyable video. You have helped spark my creative mojo! Thanks!
Awesome! Thank you!
❤ I do love watching your masterboard process and seeing what you make with them!
Thank you so much
You made me smile as your master board came together, it looked so pretty, and I am very inspired to go play, but I must sleep otherwise I'll be a mess tomorrow.
Have fun When you get time to play.
Ceri, everything you create is a masterpiece :)))
Amazing!
Thank you! 😊
Lovely! I need to start using my washi and not keep saving it "for when I need it."
If you use it you can always get more.
I like the idea of tearing a piece into 3 pieces. It seems easier to spread the colors more evenly that way. This is very pretty.
Thank you Ann.
Great video! Love that you prepare and have what you need at the ready. So happy to watch your subscribers increase. ❤
Thank you so much
Im definitely using up my glue sticks that were lost and forgotten since I found you. When I smoosh the credit card over the glued image, I pretend I’m you!!
