Your videos have infused me with newfound love for life and creativity. I enjoy hearing you explain your process as you work. Why you did or did not choose a certain paper or put it in a certain place helps me see options I may not have seen on my own. I have watched others turn the master board over and cut it from the back. I think that would make it less “personal “ as you cut it if that makes sense. Then once it is cut, you forget what it looked like as a whole and just appreciate the uniqueness of each piece. Of course, you would copy or scan it first. I think it would be cool to then cut the copy again in a different way to see a whole new group of individual pieces emerge.
Hi Barbara. I made a master board using all different colors of mulberry paper intending to make tags. But once it was done, it was so pretty I framed it and hung it on the wall.
For me it's easier to craft along with you if it's not fast forwarded. So I can finish the 12x12 paper this at the same rate you do. So I appreciate the regular speed video.
I really enjoyed this video. I don’t think it’s superficial to treat yourself, especially since most of us are just trying to survive the pandemic. Self care is important. Also, I have made master boards that I like and don’t want to cut up. What I do before I cut it up is scan it. That way I have a digital copy that I can print and use over and over again.
This was lovely! I love making mastervoards and watching others do it. I always see something new to adapt for my purposes. For instance, I must remember to cut a butterfly in half and add it the way you did. I have a box of butterfly die cuts remade and ready to go, so why don’t I use them more? I will now. Those calligraphy letters from the past were gorgeous thank you for being brave enough to use them! 😀. Your work is always a special treat. TFS. Enjoy your manicure. TFS I did. Then one day a customer said You must be a Leo? I didn't understand. Until she said Leo is a male lion, and the male always have beautiful manes. Laughed and said yes I must be because I roar like one too when I don't get my way. We all had a good laugh that day. Now I'm retired and have great memories to look back on. That pop up now and then. Which this one did when you were talking about getting your nails done. Have fun...

LOL... Your covid test... I KNEW, even before you said it, that it was gonna be hair or nails!! 💇♀️💅 ...the master boards? Yes, I've made several... I photo copy them cuz they're easier to cut up, then I use those for based of STUFF. And that way I still have the original for something very special text. 😁
Watching this in January 2022 in the middle of the omicron surge :( I'm just starting out with junk journaling. I just want to say that I love watching all your steps without fast forward, it's very relaxing and inspiring as I prepare to make my first collage!
We have the same lockdown restrictions as Austria. Maybe it is because we are in the EU..I don’t know. We have only open the school for the smallest one but they are talking about open a little bit up. But I think they are so afraid of the new virus that they don’t want to open more up until more people have got the vaccine I have made a lot of master boards and I use all my scraps and sit in front of the tv in the evening and just glue on. In that way I don’t think of what to glue where. It have helped me. I glue on both sides. I use all the coffee dyed and neutral on the writing side and the other side all my scraps. ( still totally crazy color 😉👍) I then cut them to tags and journaling cards. I sewed around them and give them some kind of extra ..stamps, little bird etc. before I cut them I give both sides a Matt medium. I like the smooth service. I have made some times some boards which where to beautiful to cut and them I have made TN covers. I often use old atlas book pages or maybe new wallpaper it give them a bit of thickness which is good for cover. How can I send you some pictures so you can see what I have made.? I save them all too!!! 🤭😄 I recently got one of those same style stickers on a package, but it was in a beautiful dark-ish blue color... OMG You should have seen me... So much fun! It’s always so surprising how much different a board looks once it’s cut up. Here in British Columbia we are still restricted in our activities and travel, masks are mandatory and vaccines are just beginning to roll out. Fingers crossed this virus will be defeated soon. I’ve struggled with making master boards, in fact I had given up on making them, after having watched numerous tutorials and struggling with composition. I’ve watched this at least 3 times and in the past 3 days I’ve successfully completed 10 master boards . It was all about shapes, rectangle and squares only and sticking with neutral . Thank you so much for all you do, I truly appreciate you and look forward to many more videos. 💙

One of the reasons I fell in love with junk journaling is the beauty in randomness and how things that aren’t necessarily pretty on its own can be paired with other things to make something beautiful!! Love your master board. I too have been making mine on 12x12 scrap paper so there is color on the back of the master board instead of just white for journaling. Then I cut mine up for tags, pockets and journaling cards. Love how yours turned out. 😊
Nina Ribena (TH-cam) takes her master boards to a printer and makes copies, then you don't have to tear up the original. I love watching the process also.

I am really enjoying master boards right now. I found a video from Teal and Tattered and learned some different techniques. I love your perfectionism, i get it. I cut my master boards for tags and journaling cards. Yes, it is sometimes really challenging to cut them when i really like the whole collage. I really enjoyed your whole process, even the glueing!💙
I just gave a 7 inch stack of 12x12 paper and 150 rolls of washi tape to the Salvation Army store/charity shop. Why keep things I will never use? Don't worry, I still have so much. I'll never use it all!

Great for newbies to see how you turn out your beautiful pages. Waiting for after lockdown to get them (I made a few) photocopied. The photo copies are the ones I will cut up😊
If you don't want to cut up your master boards, take them to a printer and copy them and use the copy to cut up and save your master boards. Love your creative process!
Love these. On my masterboards I mainly use paper that are misprints (I make many oopsies 🤔) and once I have finished mine, I turn it over and cut it into pieces to use as tags and journal cards. It's always a nice surprise how they come out 😊. I put focus points/elements on my masterboards after I have cut them up and want to use them ☺.
I loved this project. I made collage with pieces of floral papers and I never cut it up. lol. Maybe I will. May favorite tag you made is the one with the rounded corners the rose post on bottom right and the red, yellow and black circle with the Celtic design. I don't know why it appealed to me. So do the people doing your nails have to get tested as well? Lets hope the world is better prepared for the next pandemic. Thanks for the inspiration on the project.

This turned out very cute. Love the baby duck tag. I also enjoy making master boards, but mostly use mine for backgrounds. I almost always make the 8.5x11" which is standard paper size here in the US, then I can scan or copy them. I liked the not fast-forwarding through because you are great at speaking while working and you don't fade away like some others.
Maybe you could make copies of your master board so you can keep the original. I have done that and used copies to make card fronts, book covers, tags, and ephemera.
Never done this, but it looks just gorgeous and also a lot of fun to make, so I will definitely give it a try! I noticed that you put all the pieces with text the right side up, so just want to tell you that you put the Hebrew text upside down. Not that it's a big deal because it is beautiful either way, but it might still be of interest to you for additional/future Hebrew pages. TFS 🤗🦋🌻🕊️

I want to take a moment to let you know how inspiring this video is . I’ve struggled with making master boards, in fact I had given up on making them, after having watched numerous tutorials and struggling with composition.
I’ve watched this at least 3 times and in the past 3 days I’ve successfully completed 10 master boards . It was all about shapes, rectangle and squares only and sticking with neutral . Thank you so much for all you do, I truly appreciate you and look forward to many more videos. 💙

The Hebrew text is upside down. Lol. Maybe you did that on purpose and frankly speaking there is nothing wrong with having text in any direction. I just noticed that this was the only book page upside down like this. (Well Japanese strip is also upside down). So just in case you didn’t know I am informing you about it. Love you work anyway！🌝🌟💛

Try laying a piece of thick , clear vinyl over and marker the cuts so you know where to put focal points.

I’m so glad I found this video!! I’m fairly new to junk journaling and have never heard of master boarding, but absolutely LOVE it! One of the reasons I fell in love with junk journaling is the beauty in randomness and how things that aren’t necessarily pretty on its own can be paired with other things to make something beautiful!! I don't cut them up. Photograph it and then print it out to use over and over.

Love your master board. I too have been making mine on 12x12 scrap paper so there is color on the back of the master board instead of just white for journaling. Then I cut mine up for tags, pockets and journaling cards. Love how yours turned out. 😊

Nina Ribena (TH-cam) takes her master boards to a printer and makes copies, then you don't have to tear up the original. I love watching the process also.

I am really enjoying master boards right now. I found a video from Teal and Tattered and learned some different techniques. I love your perfectionism, i get it. I cut my master boards for tags and journaling cards. Yes, it is sometimes really challenging to cut them when i really like the whole collage. I really enjoyed your whole process, even the glueing!💙

I just gave a 7 inch stack of 12x12 paper and 150 rolls of washi tape to the Salvation Army store/charity shop. Why keep things I will never use? Don't worry, I still have so much. I'll never use it all!

I would of scanned the board whole so you could print it out again and divide differently if you wished or make it a tear sheet.

If you don't want to cut up your master boards, take them to a printer and copy them and use the copy to cut up and save your master boards. Love your creative process!
Love these. On my masterboards I mainly use paper that are misprints (I make many oopsies 🤔) and once I have finished mine, I turn it over and cut it into pieces to use as tags and journal cards. It's always a nice surprise how they come out 😊. I put focus points/elements on my masterboards after I have cut them up and want to use them ☺.

I loved this project. I made collage with pieces of floral papers and I never cut it up. lol. Maybe I will. May favorite tag you made is the one with the rounded corners the rose post on bottom right and the red, yellow and black circle with the Celtic design. I don't know why it appealed to me. So do the people doing your nails have to get tested as well? Lets hope the world is better prepared for the next pandemic. Thanks for the inspiration on the project.

I make a copy before I cut it up. Some people scan them into their computer.
You works so nice. Today I was very low, on the buttom. It was horrible. But I just had watching this colorful and nice video and I feel better that all today. I'm very grateful to you because now I'm thinking of a new project. I can't just believ!🙂 1 hour ago I layed on my bed and I was sad. Now I will DO something! It's so good! This turned out very cute. Love the baby duck tag. I also enjoy making master boards, but mostly use mine for backgrounds. I almost always make the 8.5x11" which is standard paper size here in the US, then I can scan or copy them. I liked the not fast-forwarding through because you are great at speaking while working and you don't fade away like some others.

Maybe you could make copies of your master board so you can keep the original. I have done that and used copies to make card fronts, book covers, tags, and ephemera.

Never done this, but it looks just gorgeous and also a lot of fun to make, so I will definitely give it a try! I noticed that you put all the pieces with text the right side up, so just want to tell you that you put the Hebrew text upside down. Not that it's a big deal because it is beautiful either way, but it might still be of interest to you for additional/future Hebrew pages.
