@@Creammidnight This will likely be the final version of the game... for now. I might return the idea later. But for now, it's time I return to work on my first commercial game Chess Survivors. Stay tuned for an announcement video.
What a video Aarimous! The edit was on point and the narration really dynamic and catchy, I loved it. Congrats for your game, it was really fun seeing you developing it live (especially the sounds effects)!
I'll go check it out! [subbed] This was my first game jam EVER! I had a lot of fun with the BRUTAL 48 hour deadline... but I had no idea about the post game jam fun with all the games and rating and chatting and meeting new folks. it's really cool.
Congrats on the first jam. My first one was GMTK 2020. The community part is the best part of the game. If you liked this one I'd suggest Ludum Dare. ldjam.com/
@@Aarimous I've heard that title floating around. I'll finally look into it, thanks! Yeah it really is an intensely thriving community. It's really exciting
Dude, I'm super impressed with what you were able to pull off in such a short period of time. And the game design was a great twist on the jam theme. I just finished playing your submission on Itch and had a lot of fun with it. The mouth sound effects 100% make the game more charming! Keep up the good work!
LOL I was brain dead when I went to bed. I think the extra sleep probably helped, because I did wake up feeling not brain dead again. Glad I wasn't the only one. :)
I typically don't set output goals (or goals that are out of my control). Instead I try and focus on input goals (or things I can control). Now, yes I want to do well, but I also participated solo, so for GMTK I temper my expectations as there are a lot of teams.
Only part this video is lacking: "We've had fun on the stream making these sounds" but then there's no short clip for that. Sure, there are the finished sounds in the game, but I think that would have warranted a short 5-10 seconds segment, also to get people interested in the actual live streams.
Like I said in the video, that used to be me. If you have the desire, I believe you too can learn to make a game this quickly. My proof, is myself. Thanks for watching.
Epic sound effects
Bravo on your Jam entry, great devlog and lovely sound effects.
Thanks!! I'm learning more and more everyday to never sleep on sound design.
Thanks for watching!! Play/rate the game over on Itch itch.io/jam/gmtk-jam-2022/rate/1620542
Edit: fixed link
Sure
The link doesn't work. I think its because of that parenthesis at the end. But I've played the game! It was a lot of fun :)
@@noontimedreamer Thanks, I've fixed it now. Also thanks for playing it.
are there will be update on this game or this is a final version ?

Thanks, that means a lot coming from you. I've learned a ton watching/re-watching your vids. Cheers :)
The sound effects are stellar bro 🤣 love it definitely my fav part
This game was super cool! One of my favourite entries and a unique take on the theme
What an excellent devlog. Great job!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!!
Great job! The game looks fun, ill try it out soon :)

Thanks, I also impressed myself. I was a monster coder on Saturday and got into a flow state. Glad you enjoyed the game.
Love the videos
Nice work!
This is just going to be a Aarimous voice simulator
cool games
I participated too, and I had the exact same problem with my alarm 😅 I wanted to wake up at 3am, but I ended up waking up at 8am.

ty :)
Did you have any goals for where you wanted to place in the jam?

Ohh, yeah that would have been a good thing to add.
Ma man watches ted lasso
Bruh I saw your face and I was like wait I recognize this dude and it turns out we raided your stream haha
Heyy!!! Thanks again for the raid and checking out my vid.
0:10 What’s that game? :0
TBH, I'm not sure. That clip was taken from the GMTK Jam announcement video.
One of my Twitch viewer's told me it's called "Titan Souls". store.steampowered.com/app/297130/Titan_Souls/
My favorite part of the GMTK game jam is watching all the devlogs bc I could never finish smth that fast lol

Commenting for algorithm
hahahaha sa bro xD
Did you just remove my comment ? LOL
I did not, just got done streaming. TH-cam might have auto-modded it but I usually can usually find them. Sorry about that.
