  • Learn about the John Deere 1025r 60D mower deck. We purchased the 60D Manual Connect instead of the 60D Auto Connect.
If I could do it over, I would…
    - Learn how to install the manual deck
    - Review on the operation, quality of cut and stripes from mowing
    - Regrets and why I would make a different decision if I could go back.

I had a 2016 1025 r with the 60d auto correct and after a while the alignment never worked out and it drove me crazy. I honestly got ride of the mower deck and never again. Otherwise i love the 1025r

I can see that happening. The 1025r is a great little tractor that can do so much. The mower is just an added bonus but definitely gets frustrating at times. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I run a 60" on my 445. It does the job. But it can be tough to get an even cut. When the 3 blades bet blunted on the ends they can leave a strip. The 3 blades dont overlap enough. The manual connect is not a pleasant job. Reaching over the deck with one hand to slide the shaft onto the spline can be a bitch. Lots of WD. Thanks for the video.

Good point you brought out with the 3 blades. Thanks for sharing and I’m glad you enjoyed the video!

How much can those forks pick up? Did you modify that yourself?

With the pallet forks I can lift around 1,000 lbs about a 1 foot off the ground. No I didn’t modify just frontier pallet forks

Wait til you get some wear and hours on that auto connect. Total junk

11 Years 250+ mowing hours (643 total) and Auto-connect still work perfectly. drop to install level (on level ground), engage 4wd, drive over, listen for the click, raise the deck set the wheel height for cut height and off I go. Maybe it is because mine gets serviced and adjusted regularly as I remove the arms often when using the front PTO or the tiller tec.
Only issue was a set screw on the drove cover that backed out in the first 20 hours.. Sorry you have had bad experiences.
