We are a country family with 40 acres in central Ohio. The goal since 2018 was to develop the land into our dream property. Since purchasing the property in 2018, we built a 2,200 ft. driveway that provides the crossing of a creek over our built bridge, winding through the trees and up an elevation change of 200 ft. arriving to our custom built home. We are an outdoor family and want to share our story with you.
Our hope is we can provide something of value to you through our videos. We encourage you to engage with comments of questions, thoughts and future content you would like to see!

No and never will. They are pieces of junk, and so unreliable, and expensive to run and maintain. I know several people who have one and they all broke 2 days after a hurricane, into a major power outage.
@@TheJakeman789 oh no… I’m sorry to hear that. We have had nothing but success with our Kohler. It does a test once a week for 10 minutes and never had an issue. We have had 3 power outages in 4 years of ownership with the generator with the longest 3 days. Ours runs on LP and didn’t use nearly as much as I thought it would. Maintenance cost about $140 a year. Based on my experience I would recommend one for sure but it’s unfortunate you have had a bad experience.
i like that tractor 🚜 🚜
@@jerrykelly7052 we are excited to showcase its capabilities on the channel! 😁
Your local tire shop didn't look at the old tire because they put the new tire on the wrong direction!

I’ve had a Kioti CK 2610 for 2 years. Love it 👍🏻👍🏻
@@lyndonhamby7432 that’s awesome! I have heard great things about the CK models.
85hrs a year on the JD. Just breaking her in! Congrats on the new purchase, I personally can’t get behind any other brand than JD though. 5065 brand new for $40000 at my dealer at the moment. You get what you pay for- wishing you the best. Love seeing your kids crawling all over them!
@@D.Trider thank you! All I have ever had was a JD but we decided to try something new. Time will tell so we will keep everyone updated. Thanks for sharing and reaching out, we truly appreciate it.
Sell the JD. It's junk and will brake your bank account with repairs. Wish you had checked out a tym 2515... 2500 pound lift in the bucket and 3000 pounds on the 3 point hitch..! And no deff bs... Yet this ain't the worst tractor out there...

Heck yeah! We have a Sportsman 400 and have had it for years. They are reliable pieces of equipment. Thank you for sharing, I might have to get the Sportsman on the channel more.
Thank you
This looks encouraging. I have a 1025R and have lots of trees I want to cut to open up for a small pasture. How did you get the stumps out?
There is only so much the 1025r can do so I had to bring in a Track hoe/ excavator to get the stumps out. You will have a blast at opening up for a small pasture! I know I did and you will be amazed how much the 1025r can accomplish.
No comparison to the Milwaukee battery trimmer. Tried both. Milwaukee hands down.
Oh nice… I have never had the opportunity to try the Milwaukee. Maybe I need to look into it! Thank you for sharing!
@@hillcreekoutdoors hopefully you’re as surprised as I was. Plus it holds 25 ft of trimmer line which Dewalt does not.
@@porkypineacres3536 heck yeah that is awesome! I can’t wait to test one out. Thanks again!
Really enjoying your content! Expecting delivery of a 2017 low hour used 1025R for my 4 acres this week. I will be using the 60” mmm and have some hilly terrain. What do you recommend for a little better stability? Do you recommend brand/size spacers?, wheel weights? Liquid ballast rear tires? Ballast box? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great videos!
This is an exciting time, you will love the John Deere 1025r. It is so a great piece of equipment that will do you right. I would recommend rear ballast, you can purchase a Heavy Hitch attachment that holds 8 x 70 lbs suitcase weights. - Heavy Hitch: amzn.to/4csMXzV I have never used wheel spacers but honestly I don’t think you need them on the 1025r if you have rear ballast. I do have a set of 50 lbs wheel weights on mine and would recommend. You could add liquid ballast in tires, on average every gallon equals 7 lbs. The 1025r would probably only get around 10 gallons in each tire. Definitely look at a quick attach system… it will make your life much easier. th-cam.com/video/rG2bHP8kEMw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uBSIMao9pOwjSH24 I hope this helps you! Thank you for reaching out and let me know how you enjoy your 1025r!!!

What is the price for the Polaris xp1000 crew premium ranger canvas doors
We paid over $1,000 for them in 2022 from the dealer when we purchased I’m sure they have went up since then. I have added links for your reference. - Polaris Ranger Lock & Ride Canvas Doors Front: amzn.to/48cdOOj - Polaris Ranger Lock & Ride Canvas Doors Rear:amzn.to/3tn9RYi
My 2020 570 crew leaked at the same place used some clear silicone solved the problem
Great news… it seems like there is definitely an issue that Polaris should address. Thank you for sharing your solution to the leak problem!
Northstar Ranger crew ultimate Love it cold or hot.
Absolutely! Iv heard great things about the Northstars. I’m sure the upgraded doors make a difference too!
On your outlets
Electrical boxes in the ceiling?
How’d you now where to mount your boxes?
I decided to use an easy location where no measurement was needed. On the ceiling trusses I put the boxes on the first bracing location. It was uniform and ended up being perfect.
LOL
Thanks for the video. I always struggled with strapping the front of the tractor up and wanted to buy tie down points but i learned an easy way thanks
I’m so glad you found the video helpful! Thank you for sharing, it’s great to know we are helping others!
Good for flower gardens around the home and nice and small for cultivating around plants. Not really intended to take the place of a large tiller behind a tractor for field work. LoL...Not a disabled device for the economically disadvantaged.
I completely agree! It’s a good tool for small areas but I definitely recommend a large tiller or tractor tiller attachment for anything larger. Thank you for sharing!

Regular cab ranger you got to turn it off. Crew cab is a lot of area to heat up, impressive
It does a really good job. You even have to turn it off in the crew cab at times like in the late fall or early spring. Thank you for the comment!
with the grade would it be better to go from the inside of the road out? or does it not matter?
Looking at a sound bar or something, but I’m not a fan of the 12 volt plug.
I was skeptical at first but once I installed it, I have found it useful for other 12volt devices.
any video to show how to switch from canvas doors to factory mesh door install?
I don’t have the mesh doors or I would make a video for you. We got out canvas doors straight from the factory
I have both of those boxes, and they are fantastic. They are sealed really good. I hit them with a power washer, and have not had any water intrusion. I like the look of those floor mats. I may need to get a set. If you get a chance, look at the Kemimoto spare tire carrier. That is a really nice addition.
I know I’m really loving the boxes! The floor mats also help a little with sound dampening, at least we feel so. I’ll have to look into the spare tire carrier
Looks good
Thank you!
I have that same trimmer and I’m look on here for videos on how to fix it because it stopped working I’ve only had it for 8 months
Oh no… I wish I could help you but ours has never given us any issues. It works get and we use it all the time. I hope you find some help.
Wait til you get some wear and hours on that auto connect. Total junk
11 Years 250+ mowing hours (643 total) and Auto-connect still work perfectly. drop to install level (on level ground), engage 4wd, drive over, listen for the click, raise the deck set the wheel height for cut height and off I go. Maybe it is because mine gets serviced and adjusted regularly as I remove the arms often when using the front PTO or the tiller tec. Only issue was a set screw on the drove cover that backed out in the first 20 hours.. Sorry you have had bad experiences.
Rewatched!
So the video was about the Ranger then?
The Ranger dragging the driveway with the harrow drag.
had the same issue on the 2023 version of your Polaris. took it back to dealer twice to caulk it and still leaking. I'll try the tape and/or the roof sealer - thx for the video!
It seems Polaris hasn’t addressed as it continues with the new models as well. Thanks for sharing.
Had our 2000 Northstar in several times, the last time it was in they tried windshield adhesive. It leaks like a sieve. Too bad for the price they charge it can't be more watertight.
@@TonyCarnicello I agree, at the price tag it shouldn’t leak. Thanks for sharing your experience
How much can those forks pick up? Did you modify that yourself?
With the pallet forks I can lift around 1,000 lbs about a 1 foot off the ground. No I didn’t modify just frontier pallet forks
Why is it going backwards?
Because it wasn’t strong enough so we had to play with it some.
I had a 2016 1025 r with the 60d auto correct and after a while the alignment never worked out and it drove me crazy. I honestly got ride of the mower deck and never again. Otherwise i love the 1025r
I can see that happening. The 1025r is a great little tractor that can do so much. The mower is just an added bonus but definitely gets frustrating at times. Thanks for sharing your experience!
What’s the build date of your machine? Seems like it was built on a Monday or Friday. Your while video seemed to be nothing but complaints.
I put Flex Seal and it started leaking again about a month later I'm in the process now of taking the whole roof off trying to reseal it with a rubber seal
Keep me updated on how that works out after you put the rubber seal on! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the video! Were you able to go back and tie in to factory blinker signals? If so, can you share how? Thanks again for detailed video.
I did not go back and tie into the factory blinker yet. But the way you do it is by tying into #6 (left turn signal input) and #7 (right turn signal input) for the instrument cluster. Thank you for commenting!
Excellent video and good advice, thanks for sharing, that's what good ol boys do.
Heck yeah… glad you enjoyed!
Definitely saving up to get a JD1025R.
