Thanks for the video! I was hoping you could answer a follow up question. Where did you get that nice black step you have attached on the left side of your tractor? Could really use one on ours 1:06
The step came with my model when I got it new. It is a 2021 MY 2025R. I guess it was standard with my model as I didn’t order it as an option. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for showing how to disconnect the mid deck! I've been watching videos on this, but this one was for sure the best. Just a note, if you leave the plastic on the seats and you use the tractor in humid weather you WILL get mold/mildew on it.
First, I have to agree with EvilMerlin about the plastic on your seat. I own and operate a custom upholstery shop in northern Wisconsin and have found many marine and JD seats infested with mold from someone leaving the plastic on. You may not see it for a while, but it is there, growing from inside. Now for my question. Why did you opt for the 54" mower and not the 60"? I have owned a 1025R for 7 years now with the 60", but will be trading it off in the near future for a 2025R simply for the heavier frame and ground clearance when I use my grapple and other items. The one question I have is whether or not to stay with the 60" MMM or go with a 3-point finish mower. I mow roughly 6 acres of mainly lawn, but with some trails.
John Deere makes them, and it came standard on mine. Here is a video on my channel that explains more about the step! th-cam.com/video/-JWevPmYfhI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=o6fJAHTYqeZz_HF4
I got my 2025R in 2021. I have about an acre of lawn to cut. I decided to get the least expensive zero turn from JD. The price was about the same as the deck.
I'm stuck with the 60" mid deck on my 2025R since I got it. ITs not the best for my land, but it's really all I could get here in Hawai'i. I really want a rotary cutter but I can't get one here easily even if I order one. With the high, heavy and thick grass the mid deck simply cannot do what it really needs to do.
Thanks for the great content, but I almost stopped watching in the first 2 minutes due to the audio being so hideously awful. It was distorted to the point of being unintelligible - something must have been screwy with your audio levels, and it was only playing from the right channel. The review was great though, it's good to get a practical insight into it before shelling out the considerable amount of money to buy one of these decks.
Thanks for the comment- I don’t know what happened with the audio on that one. It was one of my earlier videos and something that I learned to watch for when recording. Glad the video helped, and I have others on my channel about the MMM deck and the 2025!
Great video...
Thank you for sharing
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!!

Ah! I really appreciate the info, I’ll try to find the part number with that info/detail. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I haven’t had a problem yet with the seat , it’s not that humid here in Michigan, but will keep an eye on it!

I like the steps on your tractor. Who makes those?

Nice! I heard the zero turn is the best for mowing.
I have the 60D deck and load-n-go plus Mudd Customs deck stands. Stores the deck upright and loader does the work. What year is your deck ?
Mine is a 2021, I don’t think the load & go fits my 54D, wish it do tho!
@@upnorthguy 2020+ models 54D does have a load n go kit. BXX10321
@@projectswithjw Thanks for sharing! I am definitely going to check that out!

Good point about the thick grass, another con for the mid-mount mower!
