    Kevin those shots are great, in fact they are art, you are being to modest and selling yourself short.
    IMO Black and White rules !!

    I just got an X100F, my first Fujifilm camera of any kind. And I have to say, Fuji does something special with light, something I've never seen as purely portrayed with other cameras. Especially their B&W film simulations. It's the reason I bought this camera, there's just something special about the pictures it can take. Your photos were very inspiring. Thank you.

    Great work. I was looking for videos relating to the XPro 2 yesterday and found your subject family appear in a similar day in the life TH-cam video photographed by Neale James, again using Fuji gear.Thank you for sharing your work.

    Absolutely gorgeous photos. Inspired me to do the same for my kids. They’re 5 and 3 so I might do a day a year and print an album for each year. Stunning!

    These are great Kevin, not too saccharine, very classy set of photos the family must have been over the moon with them. I wish I had taken the time to photograph my children in the same way before they grew up and left home.

    Fantastic photos, I love the simplistically of them, I take photos of my granddaughter all the time, simple ones, yesterday we had a water ballon fight, taking photos with my Fuji X70, yes it's not a waterproof camera, but sometimes you just have to say, Hay so what, it's not going to damage it,, got some great photos and the camera dried off and is fine.. keep the videos coming, there great. Hope the weddings go well for you this weekend 👍

    I really like your photographs, Kevin. Truly inspirational! I was wondering, though: the spot measuring on the highlights gives you a lot of contrast, and I think that parts of some images are pure black (a few peaks at the histogram when it is visible appear to confirm that). Isn't that a problem when printing?

  • @vermontmike9800
    @vermontmike9800 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your black and white photos have a nice warm tone that I’m unable to achieve in camera.

    • @kevin_mullins
      @kevin_mullins  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You won't be able to get this directly from the camera, unfortunately. Now, if only Fujifilm allowed us to have a strength slider on the Sepia filter :-)

    What is that music you use in the photo slide-show near the end of the video? It is beautiful and I want to listen to it while I work! I do hear Debussy I believe in the first part of your video while you discuss the photos. I wonder if the second song in the video over the slideshow is also Debussy?

    Love your work; just listened to your interview on the Fujilove podcast which brought me to your TH-cam, which I just subscribed to. Just curious - what's vlog setup? What camera, lights and sound equipment are you using for these videos. I'm setting a friend up to start vlogging and I love the look of this video. It kind of looks like it was shot 4K X-T2 in classic chrome.... Am I even close? Thanks so much!

    • @kevin_mullins
      @kevin_mullins  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s shot on an xt2 and in this case in flog and graded in Premier Pro later. Cheers

      Thank you Kevin; it's good to see someone shooting video for a vlog on their Fuji. I feel like the video coming out of the Fuji is vastly underestimated at this point.

    Beautiful imagery and story... I have done a few 'day in the life' shoots prior to being a Fuji shooter, and but your work is making me want to do more of these sessions. I would have loved to have images of my childhood like these. Great job!
    Also excellent choice in music... May I ask, do you use a specific music licensing website? I'd love a video from you with insights into making photofilms. I started my career as a video editor, and while I have shifted more into photography, I am still a stickler for good editing. Your work is excellent.

      @kevin_mullins  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Junia. Thanks for the kind words. I'm currently using Epidemic Sound for my licensing. It's very important to have licensed music - otherwise, the TH-cam police will be all over you like a rash.

    I see the 'candid' style of shooting with the x100f as executable, not sure how would that work with the GFX??? No idea how you do it?!

    • @kevin_mullins
      @kevin_mullins  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. GFX is a little slower, probably the same as the X-T1 was, but certainly usable for this kind of shooting.

      I don't put them anywhere. Wheverever the clients go, then I'll shoot - and in this case, it was in very strong sunlight so I had to deal with it on the day.
