Because of you, I built my own gaming handheld and I made a TH-cam video on it on my channel
Your gaming handheld is looking awesome, I cant wait to see how it evolves!
Thank you
@@BuildItnow eu vou fazer o mesmo portátil videojogo eu chamo lhe "SouthParkBoy" com cartão
E já subscrevi/inscrevi no teu canal porque eu sou português Portugal
that destruction hurt me both emotionally and physically.
I came across the short for this video recently and as a Namibian I was shocked that there are actually people in South Africa creating such great content! I subbed and turned on the bell, keep up the amazing work, love the editing and style, and all the support from your neighbouring country 😉♥
Thanks for the support!
I came here like just now from the short too and I'm stunned
Welcome
out of all the electronic makers, this one knows his way
Thank you!
What really interest for me wasn't the function but how it looked
You like the W I D E style?
@@BuildItnow yes, it look so cool
I saw the short and i subscribed immediately i love people like you dude
Thank you!
@@BuildItnow your welcome ❤️
Excellent build and use of off the shelf parts. Solid reference to the slingshot channel. Also, excellent use of "lol just use a phone and a controller" Although that's probably still the cheapest path to gamecube.
I wanna know exactly how to make one with a step by step tutorial because that’s one of the best DIY projects and I’d kill to have one
You're making some quality content 👍 very well edited 👌 and the voiceover
Thank you! Means a lot
@@BuildItnow Olá eu vou criar o mesmo portátil videojogo eu vou chamar lhe"SouthParkBoy"
the start of the video is so hilarious
Nice to see you back
Good to be back
Wow great job man ! 👏👏👍😲💯🙌 also love all your ideas
clicked for the project, stayed for the amazing humor. great video
The ending is too satisfying
Awesome build!
wideboy? that's just what i call my cat!
"Lucky bastard" dude what did they do
different face plates could be a really cool idea, I hope you persue this in the future.
Instead of a Gameboy clone that can't fit a pocket, why not build a BBMA (big beautiful mini arcade)? Any phone can run emulators these days anyway.
This is perfect. The most perfect shitty console bc it uses a PS4 (ripoff) controller which is nice in a portable console
Not my phone bruh
Building things is fun.
Facts
i guess i have to do it
Nintendo is now going to sue you for using that "Yahoo" and mario hat.
The Joerg clip got you my sub
Welcome u back after two years bro ...ur project is op ..🔥🤌
Thanks 🔥
I was actually looking for something like this!
Wow flippen nice boi!!
Thank you!
A speaker attachment that plugs into the aux port like the battery idea
Impressive!
Wow nice project bro
Underrated
I've got most of the Anbernic and powkiddy handheld devices and I modded some Nintendo switch grips to them for that 110 percent comfortablility 🙏🏽 Great job bro 🤘🏾
Man ive wanted an anbernic for a while now they are just a little too pricey (For the good ones at least), haven't seen or used a powkiddy yet
@@BuildItnow Just found your channel and your videos are awesome I don't know how you don't get more views. I was considering trying something like this with one of those telescopic controllers that snap on to your phone.
Bro I have been waiting for the upgrades . . .
Hey man, loved the project just wanted to ask is it possible if you made the 3d model files available?
You got my subscription man
Wideboy™ is a best gaming handheld
Love it would fit what I need really well. Any chance the 3D files are posted somewhere? Thanks
Literally found this while thinking of something similar but with an old phone. I have no electronics nor printing experience tho :(
The super simple solution is to just get yourself a cheap Bluetooth controller and use it with your old phone, what I built was a little over kill. As for electronics and printing skills, there’s always time to learn, start with some smaller easier projects and you’ll get the hang of it.
I have an idea for the battery pack to make it better: add a speaker/an amp to add to the quality of the sound.
Thats a really good idea
Yo i was gonna do this! love it!
Do it
„Any kind of fine white powder“💀
Hey man! Great content and nice build. I love the diy handheld console. I have a question, how difficult is to 3d print and create a raspberry pi 5 handheld in the same size and looks like the Lenovo Legion GO. Ithat has a Big screen, and the same buttons and joystics arrangement?
hello do you have any schematics or wiring diagram for the dualshock 2 controller for this project ? The build is awesome
I'm trying to do a similar thing with an old Android phone and a keyboard like you mentioned. Anyway you post the video like that repurposing an old Android phone
My GUY i hope someday You make DIY Kits of this things
Incredibles on the gba is amazing
Do you plan on adding l, l2, r, and r2 shoulder buttons? Great project!
ANBERNIC RG353V L12 R12 😂
Man.... You didn't show us ANY of the technical stuff, like how you actually managed to repurpose that gamepad. That sort of stuff is invaluable for us noobs with plans to make an SBC powered handheld console ourselves.
i thought of a good add-on for the
W I D E BOI, a physical storage pack,
it will store a couple stuff like a mini router and the small keyboard you have. it woud probably give twice the length, but its worth it. :)
I like it
I’m wondering if the same thing can be made but as a mobile controller, instead of the orange pi you can just put your phone inside where the orange pi screen sits. Would just be funny like this WideBoy lol
2:36 F360 MENTIONED 🔥🔥🗣️🗣️
I’m pretty sure most of my recent videos are F360 lol
he's back
Guess whos back
@@BuildItnow You
Could you make an in depth video and show more of how you did it?
Do you have the Instructables page for this one? I wanted to build something like this with an Orange Pi 5 and a salvaged LG Android screen.
Idea for the dock have a usb port in the WideBoy then have a then have the usb wire connected through the dock to the monitor
how do you use the triggers becuase im thinking about building a handheld console myself and am confused about that
I wanna see someone make a portrait mode console for DS stuff, kinda like a 2ds, but it looks like I'm going to have to do it myself
Cool idea!
Fun fact: you can emulate the swirch on mobile
i have a question , why don't you just use your phone android and instal emulator in it instead of using orange pi ?
great video btw
Can you replace the joy sticks with like pap or 3ds sliders
Could you upload the 3d models somewhere? would be really cool!
You just glued the gamepad circuits or you modified something?
not the destroyed orange pi 3g screen at the start 😭
Good eye!
wait, does it have R1/ L1 buttons??
can you procur link in the description for the part I can't find the controlller you used
what pcb did you use to connect the lithium battery to the orange pi also how did you connect the controller to the orange pi
I used the power banks original BMS circuit, controller connected to the orange pi via its USB port
Any way i can wirelessly use a google pixel as a screen for my RPi 3?
You should sell this as a kit
How did you learn to design stuff like this in Fusion 360?
is there any download for the 3d model?
How did u put a mobile screen to the pi.
Orange pi is more powerful and.. tastes much better than raspberries
Depends on model and taste preference :P
Did it have shoulder buttons? I didn't notice
How much was it total and are the 3d print files somewhere?.
Wait, where are the shoulder buttons?
Please, where can I buy the screen?can I have the link?
bro ... bring back the hype, where are you?
New video in the works
@@BuildItnow alright.. can't wait!
Use moonlight, i had latency issues with steamlink but moonlight solved all my issues.
Turned a mostly playable to fully playable.
Thanks for the tip!
Does it have sleep mode like a regular android phone? Or does it completely shut off the power?
It does have a sleep mode but can also be completely powered down from the switch
For how much😊
Is the screen just an android phone or is it something else?
No shoulder buttons?
I have a question can you supply the 3D print parts link?
what are the links the the parts i want to build it.
take my sub, I wanna see the follow up vid.
how much did it cost im a student looking to create one like this for a project but do not have much money at all
I think it was between $100 - $150 worth of parts
do you have the files to the 3D models for the prints? im planning on making a similar console to this
I do, ill upload them to thingiverse soon!
Are there any alternatives for orange pi 4g-LoT?
An Android phone with video over USB-C is one option. Bonus points if it has a desktop mode to fit a normal sized screen. A 2018 vintage Galaxy S8 with a dying screen and busted back glass is going to be dirt cheap; a lot cheaper and a lot more capable than an Orange Pi if you're going to make an Android gaming handheld.
Shut up and take my money!
Thanks for the kind words!
Why not make it like psp go or xperia play
Your right, but the great thing is that the Xperia play has a removable battery making it easy to replace the screen and the hardware
I want to make my own handheld so bad
Do it bro
How do u take apart ur ps2 controller? Pls show me and I will subscribe.
if you can make the gpd xd that would be cool because gpd xd is older device
hai dei file del progetto? sei bravissimo Brother
What happened to you bro? Where have you been? 😮
I moved to Alaska
Link of screen pls?
How about the screen
Is it in stores?
No
Oh that's stupid SO STUPID I COULD DIE
*W I D E B O Y*
Wait, bmo?
GBA without bumper buttons though?
I assume he has X and Y (or Square and Triangle) mapped to L and R.
Is 8gb ram overkill?
How did you connect the controller?
USB
@@BuildItnow thanks
can i buy this !??!?
