It was used majorly in the gaming community on PC because that's what it is called when messaging people in games. :] In case anyone was wondering lol. 😅 So, DMs simply refer to what platform you're originating from. If you're coming from social media, it's DMS. If you come from an online gaming/forum background, then it's PMs. Most forums call it private message still.

Regarding the clap: Step 1: Slightly curve both hands. Step 2: Hold both hands up across from one another. Step 3: Bring the right hand down , so that the fingers are aligned with the opposite hands palm. Step 4: Swing both hands out then bringing them back in, making sure fingers hit palm. The use of a dominate hand for the finger side of the clap is preferable but whatever works. I know pumps likes to hold her hands up in the air like she just done care, but it would be easier to do it in front of you. I hope this helps the clap - slap

So that's just the term we've always used. I feel like DM is the term for younger people who only ever used the newer social media apps like Instagram that used that as the term.

Your Canadian listeners actually do talk about the weather A LOT and not in a small talk way. We experience the change is seasons pretty drastically here. During summers we get up to +40 C (I've had it with Americans and their Fahrenheit crap, like get over yourselves my goodnesss) and in winters we get down to -35 C. And it's often humid as heck. We get tornadoes, hail, blizzards, thunderstorms, heat waves, ice storms, freezing rain, etc., and within one day you may often wear 3 different layers so you can change clothes as the weather changes during the day. I'm sure I would have it too with weather small talk when you have nice weather year round but it's common talk up here for a reason. And we're passionate about it 😂
