can you please tell us what's the maximum pin runout that this pump and plate can tolerate without damage. I'm at .0035, tested without the primary installed and no top end or pistons installed.
He didn't say if this cam plate replaces the spring tensioners with Hy ? Nor did he say any thing about the cams used with this pump. The 2000 TC uses a different cam than a 2007 but this title says 1999- present
Billet and forged parts do not have any voids or inclusions in the part itself. That makes the part stronger and the strength is more consistent in all areas of the part. It will be less likely to distort in service. Of course the forgings that these pumps are machined from are heat treated and stress relieved, which also reduces distortion especially due to thermal variation.
Is it customary/practice, to replace the cam plate at the same time as replacing the oil pump...and why?

I installed cam 465c on my stock bike. Now I have sumping problems. Do I need to upgrade the oil pump also???
While not required, it is always a good idea to upgrade the entire cam chest when doing cams including the plate and pump.
Will stock oil pump work with the S&S Camplate?
The Tc3 Cam Plate will work with an 07+ stock oil pump.
Can this oil pump be used with the stock harley cam plate or do you require the s&s cam plate as well?
You can use a stock cam plate if you wish.
What is the pinion shaft runout tolerances allowed with this pump?
1 Super Motl 5 thousandths I believe. But don’t quote me on that.

Please explain dimensional stability......I'm at a loss.

S&S Cycle, Inc, you guys are really an asset to the Harley community....thanks! 👍🏻
