put in the S&S cam plate and TC-3 oil pump w/my SE Stage V kit a few weeks ago...big difference...and yes, running 35 psi at cruising speed around 2500 RPM, scavenging around 13-15 psi hot idle...made it even better adding an Oil Bud oil cooler system...2012 FLHTK Ultra Limited
Number of things. For the Twin Cam we use a forged plate (for stability), adjustable oil pressure and brass bushings to reduce friction. Superior product in every way.
Interesting to see this on a 88”. My 103 is 10# at idle and about 30# cruise and 45# peak 3500+. Personally didn’t feel like 45# was enough but I suppose they really did improve the design. I also know I can modify the pop off for more pressure but I see no point in going in there again
I've got a 16 ultra limited. at hot idle I get 15 to 18. hot highway 33 to 36. the motor makes no adverse noise. is this low oil pressure everyone seems to talk about only affect the older models, or is it something that my bike will eventually have once it wears in?
The stock plate can have porosity. Which allows oil to leak by. If you don’t know already. there are several videos and articles on the problems with OEM Cam Plate. American Iron Jan 2018 has a very good article about it. There is an article on their website with a fix. 36 is not terrible. At idle 4 is bad. That means the engine isn’t getting enough oil to the top end.
Great product demonstration video! When will we see the same for the Milwaukee 8 engine and your pump/cam plate assembly? Also, when will the oil pump/cam plate install videos for the M8 be available? Thanks!
Love these twin cam videos!

Glad you are liking the new set up! Yes, we definitely recommend adding/running an oil cooler when riding in warmer regions.
Anyone else notice the temp drop? About 2 or 4 degrees. Thats a plus too.
I would like to see all of the S&S cycle power package (part 2) cam chest kit, all the way through.
Outstanding....PROVEN PERFORMANCE - that is what I* want to see - no snake oil
Would like to see an M-8 version of this video!

What is the difference between the S&S plate and pump vs. the Screaming Eagle one. They look identical??

@@SSCycleInc Screaming Eagle also has brass or bronze bushings.

Ok.13 psi at idle.So that mean the piston oil jets could kick in at idle.Oil jets kick on at around 13-15 psi.Would that be a problem?
Can stock push rods still be used
That depends on the cam you choose to pair with them.
Great video thanks! 👍👍

That one is on the list!
Can you do oil pump only?
Yes you can, but we recommend doing both for optimum oil flow.
Other than that I liked it.
