However, I do agree with a lot of the comments as you could maybe consider different materials for better cooling so you do not need to undervolt and/or throttle so much. There's nothing wrong with this, right? Thanks
Anything below the throttling temp will not harm the CPU. Leaving your fans at full blast, however, will decrease the lifetime of your fan, and if that goes, then you're going to have problems. Leave it on auto.

@@MrSanbonsakura Ive already bought the laptop with rtx 2080 max q 1 month before I asked the question. The MAIN questions are: Do I have buyers remorse? And if so, what are some really good news so I dont have buyers remorse?

RTX 2080 max-q cant even maintain a constant 60 FPS in BF5 with rtx on . What a shame and the money they charge for it .. just pathetic nvidia ripping ppl off with the RTX name . Nice review as always loved it ♥
I do wish all youtubers would start saying what they mean by throttling. A lot of people not in the know hear throttling and they think that means that its overheating and running below base clock. But now, these chips really are being ramped right up to Tmax to go as fast as they can, then back down (to some, called throttle) to, hopefully at least, above or at base clock. If the chip never dips below 2.3ghz (the 9880h base clock) over sustained loads, then it didn't "throttle" in the old sense of the word. Of course it won't maintain its 4.8ghz boost clock, we can't expect that it would. So Lisa, please, i beg of you, start saying what you mean by throttle by indicating what speed it did average at and at what temperature. A 9880h running at 2.5ghz at 97c isn't "throttling". Its running as its designed, below tmax, and above base clock.
MSI GS series is just too expensive compared to Razer’s Blade. Sure it might be a couple hundred dollars less, but the cooling and build quality are so much better on the blade, I wonder why anyone would consider the MSI. The list goes on upgradeability, speakers, trackpad, fan noise, etc hardly enough to justify saving a couple hundred. The only thing I really like about the MSI is the keyboard.
The Sad Potato I’ve seen you on comments before, hello friend! Just to address your points the cooling on the GS75 is actually better! Gpu sits at 68, cpu sits at 85 with an undervolt at max turbo speeds! The Razer Blade 15 limits the power and when you put it in gaming mode the cpu hits 95 even with an undervolt! If you limit the turbo on the GS75 to 3.5 like the blade the cpu will sit at 70 lol. So to save money with better performance and screen size it’s a choice you can make. The blade pro is not worth the extra price but the performance is excellent.
Ali Pacheco Thanks that’s good to know. I knew the blade was power limited but not by that much! It makes more sense now. I have an MSI gs65 and I got a great deal on it and love it, but I always thought that thermals on the blade were better.

You could return it and put insurance for 2 yrs anything happens to it they will give you another or a different one around the same price .. so regardless you are secured
Which Intel core i7-9750H or i7-8750 do u recommend?
great video like ever.fun &informative
please try to get your hands on "clevo N970TF",as it could get desktop cpu,so i9 9900T or i7 9700K plus RTX2070 in 17" chassis(there is N960TF with 16" size as well),and cheaper price,it's one of a better laptop for overall gaming+content creators experience.
Hi, what's response time of the panel?
What's better GS75 Stealth or GE75 Raider?
Does ANYONE know , how the thermal goes IF you use it with lid closed ?
I saw the intake is on top of the keyboard ... what happens if I wanna use it as a desktop with external monitor.
Can't find this anywhere ...
I keep my laptop cover ajar by putting something on corner propping up cover about the thickness of 1 inch so it gets airflow . I have a different laptop .
@MobileTechReview When are going to review the New Dell XPS 7590?
Hi MobileTechReview,
Quick question: *If I leave my GS75 laptop with the fan on max everytime I decide to use my laptop (not just for gaming purposes), will doing this hurt my laptop in any way?*
I'm just concerned with CPU and GPU temperatures sometimes hitting 89°C and just to be extra safe, I want to always use my fan on max. There's nothing wrong with this, right?
Thanks
Anything below the throttling temp will not harm the CPU. Leaving your fans at full blast, however, will decrease the lifetime of your fan, and if that goes, then you're going to have problems.
Leave it on auto.
Hi MobileTechReview,
I have a quick question. What is the safe temperature for rtx 2080 max q on laptops??
People usually like CPU temps in the mid to high 80s, possibly low 90s. GPU temps in the mid to high 70s. Maybe low 80s.
Hello! For 1500 euro you would buy this laptop (GS75) at 9750h + 1660Ti + 1Tb ssd and 144hz display?
HWiNFO has graphs as well.
think getting the i7 and 2070 version will still be too hot? Anyone know? Im considering this vs the asus rog hero iii. Would love some guidance =) Thanks in advance
Thanks for video review
They have fix it on this one
Whats your guys opinion of this laptop with an i7 and a rtx 2060? When i play my cpu always hit 80ºc with ease and my gpu hits like max 70ºc. The thing is they all tell me that the laptop is made to live at 80ºc but im afraid thats not fully true. So wonder what other peoples opinion is about it.
I have it and love it more the the razer blade
Oh, i dream the time lenovo will have a thinkpad for 4k or 6k video & photo editing for a price below 2k$ and 15inch with thin bezels. 1080p 100%srgb color monitor. And a 10th gen cpu, dd4 3000mhz+ and nvme gen 4. storage.. :)
Hey, can you do the Lenovo Legion Y540 review
It’s core 6. Not 8 core As u send in your amazon link
@MobileTechReview
I have two questions and I cant seem to find the answer anywhere!
*1) Is the GTX 1080(laptop) better than the rtx 2080 Max Q?* Userbenchmark says max q is better but I think fps performance says otherwise
*2) Is the rtx 2080 max q better than desktop 2060???* Again, user benchmark says 2080maxq is SLIGHTLY stronger but fps performance says otherwise. It seems like desktop 2060 gives better performance overall.
Im to the point where i might have buyers remorse for buying this laptop with 2080 max q :/
1. Yes +18-20% 2. Yes ~10%. But the main question are you ready to pay 1000$ for 20% perfomance ?
@@MrSanbonsakura Ive already bought the laptop with rtx 2080 max q 1 month before I asked the question.
The MAIN questions are: Do I have buyers remorse? And if so, what are some really good news so I dont have buyers remorse?
Wish they had 1660Ti + Oled option.
please review asus Zephyrus GX502
So much power that you can't use effectively, these companies and their bragging rights, smh...
Undervolt it and apply liquid metal and you can use it to it’s full potential!
is the rtx 2080 max Q same with desktop 2080?
No, it‘s a tuned down version of the 2080
Son Pham thank you for your answer, but are there any laptops which can use Original gpus?
Oguzhan Kaygisiz there are laptops with non max q GPUs. Max q versions perform slightly worse for less heat and sound
@@sonpham3438 oh neat, can you give an example? a laptop with non max q 2080?
Oguzhan Kaygisiz I don‘t know any unfortunately. I wouldn‘t try 2080 in a laptop anyways
Please review the new Dell g7!
I had i7 6700hq with mild UV ( -0.120) i had max 75C in cpu heavy games ,now im getting i5 8300h which i plan to "cap" at 3,5 Gzh this is only NEW cpu i can accept in a laptop rest is just wasted money (initial purchase&throttling&heat) ,not getting anything other until intel dial down mobile chips to 7nm and nvidia stops scamming ppl on RTX mobile chips.
ps63 modern lisa... pls
Wish it had an oled display instead. That would be great!
RTX 2080 max-q cant even maintain a constant 60 FPS in BF5 with rtx on . What a shame and the money they charge for it .. just pathetic nvidia ripping ppl off with the RTX name .
Nice review as always loved it ♥
I HOPE THE HINGES ARE BETTER THAN GS73vr
It goes loud like: WEE WEE WEEE
Below base clock rate at times.
@@mobiletechreview thanks for the update!
The Sad Potato if you limit your boost clocks I think it should run fine with an undervolt, it’s a nice laptop!
About time. You said you were gonna review this months ago
Aero 15x please
Product Name: MSI Spectre Blade Pro 2019
Waw but i prefer Lenovo thinkpad
Yes @andrea, let's compar it with legion series
Tooo loong track pad for this laptop, it will better ergonomic if have a same size with spacebar button and the location under spacebar for trackpad.
Then it‘s not too long, but too far to the right
I can't honestly believe that you know better than me in regards of tech! LMao
Awesome review Lisa! My Eluktronics Mech G17 (rtx&9th gen) is just at a sweet price point. I wouldn't feel comfortable carrying around a $3000 laptop tbh. And for the work it can churn out, I'd rather have a $500 desktop that has (6+cores).
The money saved is better served to help those in need than get a few partial inches off my laptop.
Just my thoughts, although i respect the machine and engineering.
