Have tried both the Lift and the Fliteboard and decided to purchase Fliteboard board for the following reasons: - battery and connections very simple (only two cables) - motor and propellor located at the bottom of the mast reduces the incidence of the motor breaking the surface and resultant loss of power on turns and when the board moves up and down while foiling. - hand controller more compact and much easier to use ( just hold the trigger on and adjust speed with the + button) - large range of front and rear wings for different foiling options - everything is 100% water proof ( water can get into the battery compartment and the foil will operate with no damage - no separate water cooling hose and connections as the cooling system is much better engineered
I Love my waydoo board, I got two of them and been using them for two years with 0 issues. I got two boards for the price of one, yes its a little less ride time but totally worth it having two boards instead of one
From all these you skipped over waydoo way too fast, it's the most affordable and easiest to set up, no cables, no flaps, nothing, just plug the mast to the battery. And the remote is super bright, coloured and user friendly. Great board
Out of all these boards, Nick Leason from lift is the guy that has the most experience when it comes to building boards and especially Wings. Anyone who is mechanically minded can build an efoil but it’s in the detail that these other brands get lost. A battery that lasts a little longer does not make it a better board or better ride.
Isn't it a little more dangerous with the exposed propeller? Why does one company choose to cool the battery and control board? What temps do they reach after a long run without cooling? Can you monitor the temps from the controller? What type of 21700 battery do you use? I only ask as I ride electric unicycles and we use these batteries and while some makes are brilliant, some are much less so.

In reading the comments on these videos reviewing Getfoil, you can sense the PANIC ensuing from the completion when reading the comments 😎. “But, but, what about the noise, and da fiberglass ugly board shape.” 😆🤣 get foil is a solid American made product with 1 week delivery time. That alone is unbeatable and they will only get better with time and profit.
@@avrfilms3210 I went with Flite and it’s is really quiet. I hear the trickle of water off the mast more loudly than the prop. They say the new jet propulsion drive is even quieter but that is very hard to imagine as it’s already very quiet.
I delete my comments from this section because its inapropriate stated by Steven, and a valid statement against mine, so sorry for my misunderstanding etc. I make comments under relevant video on battery. Cheers
Lol I didn't delete anything. You commented on the other video about the batteries... and its still there... this video just shows the different set ups. It was a valid test and we recorded everything as it happened. I know it wasn't a perfect test, and we could have done things better, but we used what we had available. It's pretty tough to find all four boards and get them together! It was a fun little experiment and all the boards are awesome. But yes, I am very proud of Foil for lasting the longest. It's amazing it keeps up with the other boards twice their cost. I'm sure it could have been closer, but either way it shows how much Foil is worth it. Thanks for your comments and you are free to say what ever you want! I probably will try to do a video with my lift and Foil with same rider and set up soon.
Also, in regards to the second battery on the waydoo, the first battery we used was a brand new one and my friend says that's the longest its ever lasted. The second battery is the one he has used before and he says it usually burns up in 30 mins... it was super windy conditions and we rode all the boards very hard. Yes weight does matter a lot! And I was the heaviest rider by 15-20 lbs and on the Foil. So as you can see each board had different advantages.
Unfortunately Foil went out of business this month.... I still have 1 demo board for sale. I'm now selling. Waydoo which has drastically improved and I am very happy with. Feel free to reach out to my number listed on website if you have any questions. Thanks
Hi Steven. Does the Foil controller have different gear sets like the Fliteboard controller does? Or do you have to keep the trigger pulled with the same constant force in order keep the board moving at the same constant velocity?? Very curious!
Good reason why the Flite is the most expensive, premium quality, we have 2 of them and they are faultless. Steven seems like a cool guy but he's clearly selling Foil. Unfortunately this is a biased review. Sparkgap: seriously? :)
I only knew a lot about Foil and Lift at the time. I know a lot more now! Feel free to ask any questions or Call me at 561 283 5541 if you want to purchase a board!
Once you have one, your rides are pretty much free like once you have a surfboard, you just enter the water. E-Foiling makes it possible to feel the surf experience in a way where there is no surf. I took one lesson and was hooked. Now trying to convince the wife its all I need besides my wife haha
Email me at steven@jupitersspot.com or call 561 283 5541 if you have any questions or would like to set up that free lesson and get the code for free carrying case
@TheMillionairesMentalist Foil went out of business. I sell waydoo now and very happy with them. We can ship anywhere in the USA, let me know if you are intrested. The new Evo is only $5300 for the big battery!
After experience with all the boards I have decided to go with Foil because they have the biggest battery, the most advanced controller (color, GPS, mph), the simplicity that allows them mass production to get the price down, made in USA, and by far the best value!
I was leaning towards the Foil, but I rode a Lift 5'4" today and it felt way small for me at 6'1" 240lbs. Instructor even though I needed a bigger board. I'm not looking a sports car. Looking for SUV in efoils. Stability is #1. The Foil board looks smaller than the Lift 5 foot 4.
Actually the standard Foil size is 5"8 (the X is 4"8) and much more buoyant. I can sit on it and even caught a fish off of it for fun! I couldn't even. Sit on my 5"4 lift like a surfboard. Are you in south Florida? Come try it out!
@@JupSpot I'm in Delaware. Wish I were closer. 5'8 is probably fine. They recommended I go with the 5'9 if I go with Lift. We might make trip south in November. Do you keep boards and foils on hand so if I demo I can take one home?

Hey richard, I'm 6'2 and when I bought my 4 ft 9 lift board I weighed about 250. Now I weigh more like 220. I think the 5'3 lift will be plenty big enough for you. My buddy has the 4'2 Lift board and i can ride that and do seated rides on it. On my 4'9 it's easier. He has a 5'3 also which is even easier but the 5'3 feels bulky. It's less maneuverable. I think the 5'9 would feel frustratingly huge once you get the hang of foiling. I'd go 5'3!
@@axarothfiefa6676 I too have the Lift 4'9" and it feels like the best compromise between short & sporty, and comfort. My friend has the 4'2" and so far it feels like weeks before I could waterstart. I agree with you that the OP needs to be shopping for the shortest reasonable board because also boredom would set in with the larger sizes. Zen-like cruising is nice, but soon you're looking for waves and sharp turns
Biased review, you sell Foil 😂😂😂 Foil is fibreglass body I think, the other ones are carbon fiber. I agree it can be a good board for the price but you can’t really compare it with a Flite or a Lift. If you compare the carbon version of Foil, it’s a comparable price as Lift and Fliteboard…
Actually it's only $150 more to get carbon fiber vs fiber glass on Foil. There are lots of awesome options of Foil that make it very customizable and affordable for customers
You only compared two of the masts. And no mention of the fact that the Fliteboard mast is aluminium and far stronger, it also eliminates the need for cooling pipes. All in all a pretty sloppy video.

There’s Fliteboard, and then everyone else.
100% correct
Yup, and I would go for Waydoo as a 1st board or if you have budget restraints but still need an efoil

Puerto Rico (Lift) is America last I checked. The customer support with Lift is unparalleled.
Can you do a noise level comparison or just a noise demo of the foil please?
