    Isn't it a little more dangerous with the exposed propeller? Why does one company choose to cool the battery and control board? What temps do they reach after a long run without cooling? Can you monitor the temps from the controller? What type of 21700 battery do you use? I only ask as I ride electric unicycles and we use these batteries and while some makes are brilliant, some are much less so.

    Have tried both the Lift and the Fliteboard and decided to purchase Fliteboard board for the following reasons: - battery and connections very simple (only two cables) - motor and propellor located at the bottom of the mast reduces the incidence of the motor breaking the surface and resultant loss of power on turns and when the board moves up and down while foiling. - hand controller more compact and much easier to use ( just hold the trigger on and adjust speed with the + button) - large range of front and rear wings for different foiling options - everything is 100% water proof ( water can get into the battery compartment and the foil will operate with no damage - no separate water cooling hose and connections as the cooling system is much better engineered

  • @felixVanDiemen
    @felixVanDiemen ปีที่แล้ว

    You only compared two of the masts. And no mention of the fact that the Fliteboard mast is aluminium and far stronger, it also eliminates the need for cooling pipes. All in all a pretty sloppy video.

    Warning: GetFoil’s product is a Chinese knock-off! Compared to other brands (Lift, Fliteboard, Waydoo), this board is a fake. The paint literally chipped at multiple sites on the board just by rubbing the board against my rubber trunk floor. The remote controller is extremely flimsy and loose: I lost mine literally after 10 minutes of trying to foil for the very first time. GetFoil charged me a full $500 to replace it which costs a LOT more than other brands. Moreover, after only 4 short sessions (15-20 minutes each), the screw threads became uneven. I had to send in the entire mast/powertrain and GetFoil responded by telling me the powertrain has to be replaced completely. GetFoil charged my credit card $750 for the full cost of a new replacement. However, Getfoil only repaired my defective powertrain, not replaced if. After I called him out, Kyle, the founder of GetFoil, left me an incredibly rude message on my Facebook for-sale post and revoked my privileges on the Foil Owners Worldwide on Facebook. He claimed I was the fraudster!! I had to send in my GetFoil powertrain/mast TWICE for repair after only 4 short sessions. I was never able to elevate above the water easily compared to the other brands. As a matter of fact, the members of an authorized sales center of Getfoil in Florida told me the GetFoil really “sucks” and none of their students getting lessons can never stay up above the water for more then 3 seconds. My experience with GetFoil has been nothing short of a disaster. I have filed a dispute with my credit card and now Kyle is holding my defective powertrain hostage until I cancel the dispute! Can you believe this guy?? Date of experience: September 22, 2022

    How does ridding feel. Like the foil is way cheaper than the lift but is there a reason? Does the lift feel way better?

    • @JupSpot
      @JupSpot ปีที่แล้ว

      There are diffrences in both because of the board shape, I think lift rides better when "surfing" (keeping it down) because of the smooth edges and Foil rides better on foil because of the weight distribution. But that's about it. Honestly, the big reasons Foil is so much cheaper is because are we assemble it in the USA so saves a lot in shipping and tarrifs, we have a simpler and easier to Mass produce design which means less can go wrong and less parts to order, and we never had a monopoly on the price and are aiming for our goal for "an efoil for everyone" trying to bring the price down by mass producing what people want instead of trying to keep a image as a high end product only for yatchys. Let's put it this way, every person that has tried a Foil lesson with me and also tried a more expensive brand has ended up buying a Foil and been perplexed why the price diffrence is so much different. Would love to have you come out and try it! Give me a call if you have any other questions 561 283-5541

My buddy has the 4'2 Lift board and i can ride that and do seated rides on it. On my 4'9 it's easier. He has a 5'3 also which is even easier but the 5'3 feels bulky. It's less maneuverable. It was unrideable without more work than I wanted to spend. Had to kick in another 1K to buy the 250 wing, which although advertised as a HA wing, is not. It was much better, easier to ride but still much twitchier than the Lift with 200 surf wing. If I were just starting, I'd just pick up the Foil basic fiberglass board with the 165 standard wing or the 250 wing. Save a few bucks. Once you have one, your rides are pretty much free like once you have a surfboard, you just enter the water. E-Foiling makes it possible to feel the surf experience in a way where there is no surf. I took one lesson and was hooked. Now trying to convince the wife its all I need besides my wife haha

    Nice comparison setup...but should have shown the waydoo flyer in EPP and not in carbon... much cheaper and much more advantages to fiberglass😉

    Hi Steven. Does the Foil controller have different gear sets like the Fliteboard controller does? Or do you have to keep the trigger pulled with the same constant force in order keep the board moving at the same constant velocity?? Very curious!

      We have 15 different speed settings!

    In reading the comments on these videos reviewing Getfoil, you can sense the PANIC ensuing from the completion when reading the comments 😎. “But, but, what about the noise, and da fiberglass ugly board shape.” 😆🤣 get foil is a solid American made product with 1 week delivery time. That alone is unbeatable and they will only get better with time and profit.

      Puerto Rico (Lift) is America last I checked. The customer support with Lift is unparalleled.

    Which best ?

    • @JupSpot

      After experience with all the boards I have decided to go with Foil because they have the biggest battery, the most advanced controller (color, GPS, mph), the simplicity that allows them mass production to get the price down, made in USA, and by far the best value!

    Which one top E-foil?

    Out of all these boards, Nick Leason from lift is the guy that has the most experience when it comes to building boards and especially Wings. Anyone who is mechanically minded can build an efoil but it’s in the detail that these other brands get lost. A battery that lasts a little longer does not make it a better board or better ride.
