The real reason why dogs "teleport" is actually even sillier. Anything not on camera in DS3 gets their FPS lowered and model unloaded to preserve memory, and then reset back to normal when near enough. The dogs run and lunge so quickly that they outpace this system, so by the time they are fully loaded back they already reached you.

DS1 Basilisks are AWFUL because if you don’t know to use Bell Gargoyle’s soul drops to get Purging Stones, if you die to them once, you have to go out of the depths on HALF HP and either try to find your way to the guy that can cure Curse in a late game area, or farms souls to buy a Purging Stone. And Curse fills SO quickly in DS1. The rest of the Basilisks aren’t too bad because Curse doesn’t debuff you if you die to it and it goes up slower.
If it makes you feel better, on release, you could stack curses. My sister played around release and went to the catacombs early, got stuck there with 1/16th of her normal HP and stopped playing. I found her save file around 2 years ago when going through our Old Consoles.

Best and most pullable hair in soulsborne next?
that is wild
The giants in 5-2 Demons’s soul are really annoying if you don’t have the ring, the mimics in DS3 drive me crazy, crucible knights in ER
small correction: you don’t need to go to the frigid outskirts or beat Lud and Zallen to get the Platinum Trophy… and thank god for that.
If you have a great shield, or projectile. The smaller enemies are pretty easy to deal with. Still annoying though 👍🏻
If commander nail or maliketg or rats aren’t here I’m reporting for misconduct.
Dogs in souls games are the bane of my playthrough.
Those fire kinghts from Shadow Keep in ER are an absolute pain in the ass. The input reading spam of homimg fireballs and the anime spinning dagger combo are so fucking annoying.
The Snakes of the forbidden woods in Bloodborne gave me some heebie jeebies too
Gravity rush music, nice.
Surprised the serpent men didn’t make it onto the list. They can do everything and are so spammy
Damn, you missed the flame salamanders from Dark Souls II. Honestly the ones with melee attacks are the absolute worst, they even have an instant charge attack what will knock over your character and they can just keep doing it over and over.
I unironically like Shrine of Amana and Firigid Outskirts. Simply because the areas are cool and they have a more creative approach (the shrine not so much)
