- The 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 ($222,340 CAD as specced, ~$198,000 USD) is a high-revving, naturally aspirated sports car that mixes pure driving delight with precision track driving. Commanding over 500 horsepower and a nine-thousand RPM redline, Porsche claim the 911 GT3 can launch itself to 100km/h in just 3.4 seconds. But it should be able to tear up more than just the drag strip. Thomas and James take it out on the track to see what this generation can do and how it holds up against some hot laps. growing up I use to think why would anyone buy a 911…. They’re styled all the same…. Then I realized that the 911 is a timeless perfection and the 911 is the best pure sports car in the world!

Yeah, and I always heard people who have money and like the 911, buys multiple 911s. And I thought it, why would anyone want multiple number of the same car. My opinion hasn't changed still, but I get why people buy multiple 911s, I might be keen to buy multiple versions as well.

IMO it's the closest thing to GT or Top Gear out there. The cadence, the editing, and the word choice. These guys are really fucking talented.
My favorite part, almost always gets a a laugh or atleast a grin out of me and works as a great attention hook in terms of production, these guys have wit and charm

Plus you can actually buy a CS!
Curious what they could have done with CS with camber plates. Made a huge difference in my m2c

@@kuervers03 they did increase the camber more in the CS than the stock M2C. It’s noticeable right away; makes for some awesome turn in.

Can you guys try and arrange a test: Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series vs AMG GTR.
It would be interesting too see if you guys think the Black Series is worth the extra money.

It is not worth the money unless you're very serious about track times. So for a normal person the Black Series is unnecessary, but so is already the AMG GT-R. The normal GT is what most people will need and that should be enough.
If you want the fastest road legal car around the green hell, the Black Series is obviously worth the extra money.
For street driving purposes the GTR is the better choice.
It would be more to see if the experience is any different, does the Black Series improve the overall experience or is it just a glorified GTR?
The black series will not depreciate like the normal gtr tho

I actually had the privilege of driving one of these out on the track and my respect for Thomas has gone up exponentially in the way he slides the car. In my experience, it was VERY HARD to unstick the tail of the GT3.
I absolutely loved watching Thomas not being able to stop moving around and touching things after he finished his lapping. You could see the excitement and adrenaline running though his veins. This is why we LOVE cars. Great content, keep it up!!!!

What I like about the GT3 is not the insane wing or the fact that it has SVJ Style vents up front. What I like is that it's a driver's car, it doesn't have a million Horsepower and fifty thousand tons of down force. It has what it needs. That's it. Its a perfect example of what a Porsche is.
I am more excited for the up coming sports classic and Safari though, for the former because I love the Turbo front and the ducktail spoiler, the latter because it leaves every SUV in the dust despite being a two door coupé.

The sound of that 4.0 H6 is up there with the CGT and LFA for exhaust melody
It certainly has a distinctive sound that is quickly going extinct.
Just by the sound of it, the naturally aspirated engine’s throttle response has yet to be matched by any turbo cars. Modern turbo engines respond great to full throttle and take off but, you never get this level of dissected mid-throttle adjustability.

Watching this video made me reflect on how far Throttle house has come over the past couple of years. When I first watched it, I thought, "These guys are decent at car reviews, I would watch another one."
Now they have come so far in production value, in their comfort in conversation and speaking interestingly about cars, and Thomas' driving to the limit is a thrill to watch. Watching him wring out this thing on the track, and his willingness to let it hang right out in the corners at very high speeds exceeds what you can see on pretty much any other publication, including the huge dominant publications.

I wonder if Thomas gets faster with every car he drives especially since he's racing now and should revisit some cars on the leaderboard...
I’ve long considered this, but my lap times have been more or less consistent in the same cars over the last few years. Track conditions likely make up more of a difference. If it’s early in the year the track is a bit slower because it’s “green”. That’s just the nature of doing a leaderboard over a couple years. But the laps are quite consistent overall I’d say.

Not that I'm complaining, the production quality of this channel keeps getting better, but this video so reminded me of Top Gear reviews back when they were still cool.

The most impressive thing about the GT3 is that it uses the resonance created by the intake valves to force air at more than ambient pressure in the cylinders WITHOUT A TURBO.
They say if you ain’t first you are last but that doesn’t apply here! This is the best Shark blue 992 911 GT3 review hands down! Congrats guys it was worth the wait. 👍🏼

I saw one of these on the 407 the other day in markham and I was entering the highway in a Jeep Wrangler (which if you've never been in one are very loud on the inside at highway speeds) and I heard this wail from behind and then very quickly a brand new GT3 drove past and I could heat it for a couple hundred up the highway. This is a very special car in this day and age, a true legend

I think Carfection compares. Carfection has more emotion going, alongside nature shots and what not. Throttle House is more detailed and fun, I think. I love both channels :)

In all the reviews of the 992 GT3s I’ve seen (a lot), the journalists try and fail to explain the benefits of double wishbone suspension. Thomas… “hold my beer”. Best reviews out there guys💪

I purchased my first Porsche 3.5 years ago, a Cayman Base, now I am seriously considering the 911 as my next Porshe . This machine, sports car, race car 🏎, is simply wonderful
What a car, I am in love.
When most reviewers do cars I can never, EVER, afford, I normally pass.
Not with Throttle House. You guys never taunt us with what we can't have, you show us what is possible.
The GT3 RS was the first super car I fell in love with as an adult, and learning about it and the modern world of cars convinced me that when it comes to performance, Porsche is the leader of the pack. This review was fun and bit of a thrill.
If I ever get my hands on "Fu(# y0u Money", having one of these would not be a bad thing.
Oh, and the M2 CS is not just "more fun", not just the Deadpool to the GT3's Cable, but it cost less than a third the price for lot of performance. It is possible for me to get one if I really want it, whereas this is most likely always out of reach.
I drove one in Las Vegas a couple years ago. It was the highlight of the trip and I've never smiled so much. Thanks for reminding me.

Christ, thats a bumpy track! felt like you wanted something a lot softer to actually improve your time. GT3 sounded like it was struggling to get power down because of all the bouncing around!

Awesome car. BUT makes me all that more excited for the Lotus Emira. Double wishbone suspension? Yeah, the Emira has that...on all four corners. Oh yeah, and it will only start at $80K. (Yes, yes, the GT3 engine is better...but still...)
